Theater Royal Hotel - Hobart - Photo album

We had hoped to catch a show at the Theatre Royal while in Hobart but unfortunately it was cancelled. Nonetheless we decided to have a look at the beautiful old building. It must have been spectacular in its heyday!
Absolutely Beautiful 😍 Keeping the Theatre so original is Stunning and looking around is a show all of its own...... The staff were Friendly and Helpful and being able to take my drink into the show was much nicer than having to quickly finish it.... The new entrance is good but not well signed. It
First time I've been since the new Uni building attached to it, fantastic upgrade with a bar now on each floor! Great view from the nose bleed section - or "The God's", but don't trip, it's a looong way down!! Seats/benches up there aren't very comfortable though.
The new extension is very welcoming. The facilities much improved. The entrance to the historic theatre is well thought out and the seats much more comfortable. Loved the night's performance from Bangara Dance company.
First time through the new doors. Very nice inside. Plenty of room at the bar and heaps of space to mingle before your show. My wife and I saw David Strassman for the 3rd time and it was great.
I went to see @amandapalmer at this Absolutely Gorgeous little theatre. All the bells and whistles. It is a beautiful place. And Amanda was a Wonderful, Powerful show to see there.
Australia's oldest theatre both modern and classic architectural spaces. My sister did not like the red/yellow carpet in the newer foyer spaces, she felt it was a bit like a cinema meets bus, however all other aspects gorgeous 👌👍✨
The theatre royal has so much character, with it's compactness adding to the whole experience.
