We came here for an early dinner on a week night so it was really quiet. We came in because of the happy hour offer and weren’t disappointed!! We shared a fishbowl margarita and a plate of the nachos supreme and it was enough for the two of us as we weren’t too hungry. The margarita was good and it was fun to see how many options there were.
Service was really friendly and polite. Would definitely come again and try more margaritas!!

We came here twice during our stay in Hobart, so if that says anything about this place, is that it’s absolutely worth it. Happy hour margaritas and the endless list of flavours got us returning! Not to mention the food was grouse.

The aptly named 'Tacos Mexican Restaurant' is the highlight of Hobart's vaunted and much celebrated spanish culinary scene. "I don't like eating chipotle," said no Juan ever.
When I first tasted their delicious offerings on a cold winter day, I thought, "Chilly." Brrr-ito would have been more like it!
Normally - You can never trust tacos because they always spill the beans. But at this place - If you do not enjoy eating the tacos, you might nacho be the critic type.
The chefs act a bit rude towards the customers; they always gets jalapeño business but its really just them seasoning the moment.

Great food, great margaritas & generous portions. Ordered the (entree)seafood nachos & soft chicken tacos. Greeted by manager, staff were lovely & prompt service.

Great food, generous serving and friendly staff! We had a lovely dinner here, the food was super yummy and the serving was very generous. Not to mention the delicious margaritas! I tried the mandarin flavour and it was delicious!! I would definitely go back for another meal and highly recommend this restaurant 😊

The atmosphere is nice. Drink choices/flavours are plentiful. Sadly the soft taco shells itself were brought to my table cold, tasted reminiscent of those packet tacos from the supermarket, otherwise the pork carnitas stuffing was good. The beef sizzling steak was average as it seemed to have overcooked on the hotplate and ended up being dry within a few minutes of being served, the sauces served with it were good but couldn't save the toughness of the beef

We made a reservation this weekend, we arrived during happy hour which was full, we had an impression of the typical Mexican atmosphere very well, but everything was until there, we ordered sangria and piña colada, the first one the cheap and simple version without fruit only lemon compared to what is the classic sangria, the second without pineapple flavor only strong in alcohol, then we order the food which does not take long, the dish, The Combination, Fajitas with beef, to start the hard rice, the taco nothing to do with the authentic Mexican taco tortillas, rather the ones you find in the Old El Paso supermarket, the same with the meat, this was rather just a doughy mass of meat, we are Latin Americans and we know our seasoning and expectations when we visited a place like this, I am very sorry to say this, but your food is a thousand light years away from authentic Mexican food.

Second generation owner! Cosy but lots of room at the same time. The atrium is amazing and would be such a beautiful place to be in summer. The food is delicious and of course everyone's fav the fishbowl margaritas are mixed with perfectly with a flavor for everyone. So happy to have Tacos back on Hobart!!!!

We had a birthday dinner tonight for 16 guests. The service in the lead up, before we even stepped foot in the door, was brilliant. Increasing numbers, request to sit inside, increase again in numbers, request to bring a cake (no extra charge) .. food was amazing and service was excellent. We will be back and highly recommend it!!

Truly delicious!!!! Re-live the old days of fishbowl Friday after work or start a new tradition if you’re too young to remember! The food was great, the old Mill building is such a great location. Definitely a must.

Group of 25+ people for a birthday. Nothing was a problem and drinks and food arrived without fuss or delay. Food was fantastic as it was with our first visit a week before! This place is a must if you like Mexican.

Went to Tacos celebrate a 15th birthday and they were very accommodating. We provided and cake and some sparklers and asked if they could bring it out after our dinner. As they brought the cake out the serving staff stood around our table and sang happy birthday with us. 15-year-old was thoroughly embarrassed - mission accomplished!
