After my older Avanti MTB frame developed a crack (the design has since changed), the guys at MyRide really looked after me with a sweet deal on a new Scott Genius. Very understanding, helpful, patient and prompt. Great intro to the new bike with plenty of advice. I could not recommend them more highly. (The Avanti was a great bike, don't be put off by my experience, I would have got another but it wasn't in my size).

Avoid. I dropped my bike off for a simple gear tune. When I picked it up I was informed that my near new rear tyre had a cut that was so large the tube was hanging out. I thought this was very odd as I hadn't noticed (I'm big on maintainance and ride quite often). However rather than phone me with word of this discovery and ask if I wanted the tyre replaced they just went ahead and did so which was rather presumptuous and unnecessary as I have a spare at home. The bike mechanic was defensive and seemed ready for an argument from the get go and the sales assistant seemed sheepish. The whole experience left me rather suspicious and $80 lighter.

Great shop. Spent 10 minutes in the shop waiting to be served despite the 3 people behind the counter. Walked out. Must have had the invisible paint on…can’t reply to the shop’s response so I’ll just edit this. It was around 14.45, 3 people behind the counter having a laugh and joke with a friend in front of the counter. I think he left, 2 staff went out the back and the third didn’t bother looking up as I walked out.There we’re no other customers in the shop. I went to another shop, McBains, was instantly greeted with a smile and query as to what I wanted. Shoes ordered. You just lost a $250 sale…

I just had a bad experience with this guys. I bought $150 worth of tyres to install myself. When I was paying the guy said I can fit them for you and I said how much would it be and he said just a little bit for labour. When I got back they hit me with a $72 bill and I told him it wasn’t acceptable when I asked before hand but of course that’s how they sting you. It’s a shame because I love this shop and I’d like to know that I can trust them but for that money we would have chosen to fit the wheels ourselves. And I feel court because I asked and was reassured that it was just a small fee.

I was so impressed with the advice and patience of the staff member helping me sort out cycling shoes and pedals today. I had an excellent coffee while I waited and had a really good experience. A great My Ride chain store to service southern Tasmania! I have had my bike's disc brakes bred there and was impressed with the standard of service as well as the price! They have the widest selection of Tasmanian-made Henty business attire commuting bags I have seen in any bicycle shop and they have knowledgeable as well as friendly staff that care about their customers. They have a great selection of Topeak bicycle luggage/racks too. Pop in and give them a chance if you haven't already or for a long time!

Lovely first shopping experience at the store. I moved from Melbourne to Hobart and Tim at the store helped with the bike assembly and went out of the way to spruce up the bike. Looking forward to shop again
