Review Sally's Asian Cuisine - Hobart

The price increased $3 than last semester but the amount is still so small. I added $2 extra noodle but still hungry even drunk up all the soup. They even didn't apply bean sprout for the pho. Will never come back

Excellent Vietnamese food! We ordered the wonton soup and combination rice. So hearty!

New owner and the food is exceptional! I've tried a lot of laksas and this is the best. The duck noodle soup had an amazing rich flavour as well. Will definitely be coming back.

Such a disappointing meal. Perhaps Saturday night wasn't the best time to go, but dear oh dear. Special rice was nothing special. Chicken was dry, duck even drier...... Dim sims were the only highlight, hence the 1 star. Not the best experience after all the reviews on Google.

Food is off the hook delicious. Price tag is more than fair, and the owner / staff are a bunch of sweet hearts. Good service still exists and it's at Sally's

Delicious food with generous portions that are reasonably priced. The service is warm and genuine. Can't fault Sally's :)

Great food, good value and fast service. Definitely one of those places you've walked past thinking, hmm I'm not too sure about this joint. But trust me, stop by and try it out.

Excellent service - friendly and helpful staff. Food was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. The whole family was impressed. 5/5 for us. Highly recommend Duc's.

Love the hokkien noodles and Mongolian beef at this place. They serve it in a cute little noodle box for takeaway and its fast, easy and delish. Definitely recommend it for takeaway. Wouldn't necessarily eat in as it's kind of dull inside the restaurant.

Poor Chinese derived food. The 'Asian' cafe does bad 'versions' of Chinese food. We had three different dishes and besides being totally inauthentic were simply bad cooking irrespective of cuisine type. What concerns me most is the rating this cafe receives on Urbanspoon. One can only speculate that either the cafe has many friends and supporters or people in Hobart are completely undecerning or ignorant when it comes to decent 'Asian' food. It is indeed a warning when any restaurant or cafe use the term 'Asian' to describe its cuisine. This little cafe has no relation to any of the wonderful and complex foods coming from the many different cultures and ethnic groups of Asia.

Mongolian Beef and Sweet n Sour Pork. Best well-priced meal we've had on our holiday. As tourists we've seen some ridiculous prices for very average meals. The service (we dined in), was excellent, polite and fast and both meals were beautiful. Highly recommended this business.

Yum yum yum! We had takeaway: Mongolian beef, clay-pot pork belly and fried rice. So good! Service friendly and waiting time was reasonable. Definitely recommend. Bon app ya teet :)

Tasty tummy warning asian nosh. The stir fried chilli beans, mapo tofu chicken and claypot pork belly we had were excellent. Service was prompt and they're open on sundays for lunch and dinner unlike many other places! So it's perfect for a family weekend meal together.

Went there after the recent renovations. It was a lot more inviting and we actually wanted to stay and eat instead of getting take away like usual. What was as usual were the delicious meals. I had the pho and while I can't remember the name of his it was the spicy soup. Both fantastic.

Went there on the 90% recommendation of urbanspoon with $$
So was shocked to find it was a hole in the wall with seating for about 16 and just a soft drink fridge. Found a bottelo a few blocks away (my fault as didn't check properly)
Good for a fast cheap meal but a bad choice on my part for a nice night out

Taste buds tingling ... Popped in here for quick lunch, hankering for some authentic Asian flavours. Was not at all disappointed with combo ... Tasty, freshly cooked, heaps of veggies and flavorsome sauce! All for $10.50 ... Thanks!

Awful!. Went there couple nights ago, what can I say? Worse experience I ever had from a vietnamese restaurant, slow service and non-english speaking waiters. How am I suppose to order if they do not even understand me? I am allergic to peanuts and yet they still put peanuts in my dish, which ended up with me going to hospital.

Would not recommend this place at all, especially when there is a more clean and friendly Vietnamese restaurant just down the road.

Great food, good price and friendly service. My wife and I have had the pleasure of making weekly trips for dinner/ takeaway- to always be greeted with a friendly smile. Duc is a wonderful chef and person and makes it a point to engage with his customers.
The variety of food is excellent - a good blend of counter meals + " cooked when ordered" meals. Very reasonable price, and a generous serve. Between my wife and I, we have tried the Laksa, Horfun, Nasi Goreng, sweet & sour chicken ( counter) and we love them all.
Having recently moved to Adelaide, we still miss Duc's Take Away and gladly recommend it to those who would like Asian/ Vietnamese/ Malaysian cuisine in Hobart.

One of my fave food joints!. LOOOOVE the food here! Service is great, too. I always order either the hot box noodles, fried rice, or Vietnamese beef noodles (pho). The laksa isn't as spicy as I would've preferred, but the beef noodles is absolutely mindblowing. Generous servings = value for money. :)

Great Authentic Asian Food.. Just when I thought the rice dishes were absolutely excellent, I went and had one of the vietnamese noodle soups.. WOW!!!
