The most awesome dining experience. Perfect setting, perfect service, Devine food. My husband and I were there last night for the first time. Expensive but worth it.
Service was outstanding, food was incredible. Could've eaten the pork ribs with a spoon it was that tender. Definitely worth the asking price.
I really liked the Black Angus burger and would recommend it to anyone who goes there. The service was great too and the mint chocolate mousse was divine.
Simply delicious, an almost perfect dining experience. The Black Angus Beef Burger tried to be different, and it did it so well. The pine nuts, spinach and mustard seed adds so much flavour to the beef instead of the boring fatty beef most restaurants provide. The vanilla bean sundae was supreme, something you wouldn’t usually expect from a steakhouse. The service was very fast at a very busy time. The one downside I experienced was the staff were slow to the counter and only gave us one menu for 3 people. Overall brilliant restaurant, and quite possibly the best in the area.
✅ Once seated, service was quick and efficient, meals came out quickly. Ciabatta with olive oil and balsamic with roasted garlic was delicious. Steak was tasty and cooked to requirements, vegetables were crisp and fresh. Vanilla Bean Sundae Dessert was standout amazing both in presentation and taste!! Lovely sitting on the verandah.
❎ Had to wait several minutes to be seated, despite being seen by waitress - given one menu between three people.
Entree: Salt and Pepper Calamari, Beef Tataki
Main: 200g Eye Filet Hot Stone, with a side of grilled scallops
Location: Amazing views of the water along with parked luxury yachts. Sanctuary Cove is a beautiful and unique suburb.
Service: Waiters were very accomodating and friendly. Offered bug spray or indoor seating for any mosquitoes. Very attentive and replaced fallen cutlery without any prompt or request.
Entree: Salt and Pepper calamari is definitely one to recommend. Fresh, perfectly fried and generous portions. Sauce took a bit of getting used to but was an excellent pairing.
Beef Tataki had a different take to what I was used to but no complaints apart from the suggestion of a larger portion or onions to accompany the beef and ginger. Quality of beef was excellent.
Mains: Stone grill of Eye Fillet steak was abit on the salty end as both the beef and the stone was layered in salt. Would have preferred to have the beef unsalted and just the hot stone salted. Apart from that, meat was also of very high quality and the mash/veggies and chips/salad were great.
Price: Very reasonable price for the quality and service. Would definitely come again often if it were in Melbourne.
Novel idea to cook your own steak on a hot rock. The thing that impressed me the most was the fact that you got to eat your steak very hot. It's was delicious, particularly accompanied with the strange combination of a barbecue and pineapple sauce. The combination was sensational. On paper it doesn't look great but it has your tastebuds dancing. There were other sauces too including a range of mustards which I also tried. The hot English was a fav.
Other things of worthy note were the veggies and salad sides. Zucchini chips were awesome. The fries that came with the steak were so-so although I guess that's not the reason you come here!
Great wines, friendly staff and a great atmosphere in a beautiful part of QLD. I'll be sure to visit again next time I venture out of Victoria.
Very very nice. Generous portion sizes, delish food. Good spot. Great service. A little over priced only thing you could really complain about.
Dined here for lunch yesterday on a wet Gold Coast day... Good day for lunch with the lunch special.
Good value my friend had the black angus sausages and were lovely with the vegetables surprise as he expected potato.
I had the black angus burger. Fresh with good meat product and chips were good with aioli.
Maybe a bit more salad on the burger would have worked better along with a brioche or sour dough bun... Other than that all good
Even though pricey venue, food was excellent. Keep coming back for my favourite gnocchi pasta here. Cannot find anything like it elsewhere. Delicious. Good service also.
The entrées, my main and deserts were very nice, my partners steak was average and that was surprising as it was like $50 or $60. The restaurant was a little cramped dark and crowded. We were glad we had a large good food gift voucher as the bill was HUGE.
The hot rock is great to cook steak or seafood on...I have done both of them well worth the trip to sanctuary cove an I will be back again to try the steak again very tasty an the onion rings r not to bad either.

It was a while since I've been here and the lighting was quite dim during dinner service. Had the 450g black angus, prawns, calamari, and chips & veges as sides. Every aspect was well worth the money and the black angus was packed with flavor, making it one of the top dining choices at sanctuary cove. Desserts was a downfall as it was simple and didn't stand out amongst the crowd. Overall experience was still great. Nice decor and friendly staff, will return again!
I like this restaurant because it provides a lot of different varieties of steaks for choices. I took the advantage of voucher to try the "Hot Rock Wagyu" in this restaurant at the first visit and it was really amazing. Service is friendly and ambient is good (at least it is waterfront). I have been back a few times and would say that the standard of a la cart is also at the above average. I would advise foodies to read its web site. The information about different types of steaks do enrich my knowledge a lot. Thank you.
Polite staff, not so friendly but ok. Food was great and we recommend to everyone. Drinks were expensive but ok and view was very nice.
Amazing!!! Bought the living social $59 two course meal voucher the whole NZ Sole was cooked perfectly the cape grim rump cap chips & salad was awesome the beef jus was unbelievable nearly drank it! The salad was so fresh and chips were perfectly cooked only minor complaint the salt shakers are super difficult to get salt out of and the chips were not seasoned. The creme brûlée for dessert with the honeycomb ice cream was out of this world... The view was gorgeous will definitely be back this place is ten times better than Georges next door give it a try you wont be disappointed!!!
The best steaks on the GC mind you the dessert is to die for

Very poor service, meals quiet nice but thought they were over priced.
Absolutely fantastic. Only just moved to the Gold Coast and heard about Black Angus through a friend, I took my wife to Black Angus for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. Black Angus isn't the cheapest meal but definitely worst spending a little extra. Highly recommend the gnocchi, your steak of choice on the stone grill and the chocolate tasting plate. Great meal!!
Diana. Return visit & have to say it was not as good as the first one. We had a coupon deal (again) & were offered a set menu with three choices for the mains & two for desert. None of the mains had a vegetarian option I have to add. Luckily I eat seafood, but not the type offered which happened to be a whole sole, hate looking into a dead fishes eyes!! The waiter was very accommodating & arranged fish & chips for us, but I have to say it was not the same quality as our first time here. A few leaves in a bowl & french sweet potato fries in a basket with three small pieces of whiting ( i think it was? ) does not warrant even the coupon price. The deserts were great, but they were the same as we had had before. (see pics above) If you are going to regularly bring out coupon deals please offer different deserts at least

Diana. Not a meat eater myself but they do have fish & great deserts. We went along for a relaxing lunch & found the setting to be just so laid back we languished away a lot more time than we expected. It's just one of those places one can while away the whole afternoon watching the water & the laziness of the rolling boats nestling upon it! Oh-the food almost forgot!! I had the salmon which came partly cooked on a hot slab & one finishes off the cooking process oneself, as did the friends steak (which he likes well cooked & was rather perturbed at the raw looking junk of beef before him!) However all was well the waiter instructed him on how to manage it all! All good he was happy, he said the flavour was just supurb. Came served with sauces & veg which were all perfectly cooked. Our desert was the creme brulee which was as smooth as silk with a masterpiece of a topping. Only fault if I could pick one was the calamari entree- a little rubbery in some pieces but other than that thanks Black Angus
Nice place. High price - but you get what you paid for. Great service, great food, and great ambience
I went for lunch with my wife and it was a very relaxed and pleseant experience that we would do again. Although it's not the cheapest place in the world it was worth it.
There are few better views than this, and not that many better steaks… Black Angus Bar and Grill, situated on the marina overlooking luxury yachts at Sanctuary Cove, has an outstanding view and an award-listed reputation for fine meat...The meals here are not cheap, but neither is the steak, nor the view! There are deals, however, which can make a trip to Black Angus far more affordable.
