Review Long Leaf Cafe And Wine Bar - Hope Island

Last time I visited here I was not impressed with service or food. Today was a much better experience. Got a pot of tea and got three decent cups. Is leaf tea and it was delicious English Breakfast tea. Decided on the bacon and eggs poached, they were poached very well, not sloppy and not hard. The cook got them spot on. The bacon tasted like bacon as opposed to bland offerings. So for $10 for this plate I thought was indeed very well priced. There are other items I thought over priced still on their menu. But if its bacon eggs and a pot of tea you are after, its VFM. No table service to order but this time round the cutlery tray was delivered to the table.

My milk shakes is hot as the waitress says maybe the glass is hot and when I drink its actually hot and ask why the other table have chocolate in bottom and she says oh cause its only a presentations but if we are busy we cant make it like that and its actually not busy at all. So I defenitely not happy and not going back here. But the view or area is nice ,just the serving waitress is lazy .

It was bad. Really bad. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but this place is just too disappointing. We went to this cafe this morning and ordered two lattes and both were terribly bitter and watery. I asked to have mine redone. When the barista brought the redone latte to my table she threw it and didn’t even stop to ask whether I liked it better. It was worse than the first one. I didn’t drink it and no one bothered offering to make another one. Food was just bland and disappointing.

With the exception of the lady who served our food every other staff was really rude, especially the barista. The cappuccino was bitter, the tea’s were cold. Really disappointed.

Nice Location, close to the Marina. Yummy breakfast and juices. Nice and friendly staff. Prices reasonable. Thanks again

7 Nov 2020. Overall enjoyed coffee. Waitress was great and accommodated our request. Ordered variety of sides and was quite generous portion. Beautiful by the marina. Also appreciated flexibility to have separate bill 😊👍

Paid $17 basically for a grilled banana, peanut butter with ice cream. Meant to be a nice waffle breakfast but the waffles were very stale and not edible. Both waffles left with only one little piece out of each and waitress asked if l enjoyed. I very politely said the waffles were very stale but the banana was nice, she asked if l tried the peanut butter as it's very nice, l replied yes it was nice, she took the plate and that was the end of it. No sorry, no nothing. Not sure what's happened to good old fashioned customer service as clearly the meal wasn't good. I'm a local trying to support local businesses but l will never dine there again.

Best pineapple cake I have ever tasted! All cakes made on site, if fresh that day or the next they are second to none. Large portions on cakes as well as normal menu, somethings are well priced, other a tad expensive. Coffee is good if having it there, tastes totally different in their takeaway cups...

Lunch today was fresh and absolutely delicious, will be our local lunch stop. Great value for money!
