I am glad to know a good Indian restaurant close to my home. I loved the butter chicken, beef korma and naan.
Bias warning - I’m a Zomato Gold member, and get 1 free main on every visit. Having said that, that’s not the only or even main reason we keep coming back. The food here is tasty (of spice), as you would expect of authentic Indian cuisine. The few times we’ve been here - we’ve had to stop ourselves from over-ordering. Nice ambiance, friendly service and not too busy.
I have been to Jai Ho many times and also stayed for a banquet one of the times I went. Yes I will admit the food is pricey compared to many of the Indian restaurants around but their food is so delicious and has the right amount of spices that I think you pay for what you get. I been to many places that their foods are too oily or too sweet. This place has more authenticity than many. I will always go back again like I have been but not quickly as the $$$ will make me purse go broke.
Amazing food and amazing service. My family and I usually just order take-away to have in the convenience of our own home, but recently I decided to eat in and I was not disappointed. The food was to die for... everything was rich in flavour and cooked beautifully and we walked away exploding but content. On top of that, the wait staff were very friendly and would check up on how we were enjoying our meal or if we wanted anything else, which made it easy to order extra Naan bread! I would highly recommend.
Jai Ho’s got a new stunning look! Had three course and everything was smooth. Service is great. Friendly and attentive staff. Naan was cooked as how I like it— fluffy, buttery and crispy. Overall, it
was a good night I enjoyed.
Food was delicious, we will definitely be back for more!! We ordered over the phone for pickup, food was ready as on time. We had the family value pack which had an insane amount of really yummy food, so great value for money. The four of us ate and there was lots of left overs. We will definitely be back soon, thank you to all at the Jai Ho team :)
Good service, Really Good Food.
We have also booked Jai Ho for an event and there service and food quality was top in the town highly recommended.. Thanks jai Ho
Alert..best Indian restaurant in Melbourne. I am an Indian and I know good Indian food from bad Indian food. Having tried a number of Indian restaurants in Melbourne I ventured to Jai Ho in Hoppers Crossing en route to visiting a local temple. I had no expectations and boy was I in for a cool shock!
How good is the food? To quote Russell Peters, 'too good'. The lassi was a pleasant introduction for what awaited us. The chicken and vegetarian kebabs made us salivate for the main dishes. The naan I had was the best naan I have had in my life, and also in the entire world! New York..No...London...No...India...No. Jai Ho has the best naan, garlic to be specific. The side dishes were all cooked without too much cream but with just enough spice to settle the stomach. We finished off the evening with gulab jamun. What can I say that I haven't already said? It was yummy!
I would highly recommend Jai Ho if you are looking for some spicy, stunning, super, sickly cool, simmering, simple, succulent, sensational Indian food.
Good Indian restaurant.. nice food that doesnt have much cream added to make it rich. Its serves nice homebased curries. Service is good and quantity is good. Naam could be better-thin and crispy!!
used a coupon for a family dinner, but found probably this family business not was in high concern on food taste & customer service. I liked the environment but not the food which was too oily & small amount than the other Indian restaurants. Anyway, never tried with them after that though they are in my local area.
Having been opened since 2011, Jai Ho Indian Restaurant continues to win the hearts of Richmond locals and passer-by's. . The restaurant serves classical Indian dishes with a fresh twist, focusing on using local produce, freshly ground spices and fresh ingredients. Flavour is the name of the game and it is easy to understand why the restaurant is almost always bustling and full to the brim.
Jai Ho is a lovely Indian restaurant serving up some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever tried. Located in the warehouse strip of Hoppers Crossing, Jai Ho is a spacious dining space for dine in or takeaway. Unlike a lot of other Indian Restaurants, Jai Ho also serves up some awesome dishes based around street food. A great place to try out and a place I would recommend!
Right from the start, the ‘Indian street food’ style canapés were an instant hit, with our host Gautam Thapar explaining to us that the bhel puri and pani puri we sampled would not commonly be found in formal Indian restaurants. The bhel puri was fantasically flavourful and texturally rich with crunch and just enough spice to balance the coriander, while the pani puri was an entirely new experience, consisting of a hollow fried crisp filled with various vegetables and legumes washed down with a shot of spiced water.
While I can’t vouch for the authenticity of the food when compared to that found in India, Jai Ho definitely offered a very enjoyable experience and excellent food, and very prompt, attentive service.
Very nice dining experience. Recently moved to point cook and found this restaurant from our entertainment book. Did some research and the review is pretty good so here we are. Quite a few take away when we came in and our food has been served very quickly. Ordered one fish curry dish and one spicy prawn dish, with two serve of naan bread (one was not enough cos the garlic naan bread was really good to go with curries). Overall a really good dining experience!
Lovely place to eat. Extremely accommodating to all dietary requirements. A lovely atmosphere and quality food. I would definitely recommend this place to eat especially if you have a large group.
Wanted a good Indian restaurant to take my mother while she was in Melbourne so I wanted a highly rated place. I was pleased that Jai Ho was exactly what we were after with great dishes and everything you'd expect from a good Indian restaurant. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Good experience, highly recommend.
Fine dining and Indian food don't often go together but they do here! Excellent food and outstanding service. We let them choose a menu for us, which worked well.
This probably one of the best Indian Restaurants in Melbourne and would rate it within the top 5 in Melbourne. It is a Hoppers Crossing location and usually busy for lunch and dinner but well worth the wait.
What an amazing restaurant. Food was delicious, atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful with recommending dishes on the menu. I already have recommended this restaurant to all of my friends
This is our go to restaurant for a nice Quiet romantic meal for all our special occasions.
The food is delicious, fresh and hot and they have a great selection of wines , the layout is great and very clean and cosy.
unfortunately the location doesn't do this restaurant any justice hence why it's quiet , I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.
I feel this place doesn't get the attention it deserves, maybe because of its location. The food here is very delicious, and the seating is pretty decent. The staff is very friendly and the service isn't bad. The food, thumbs up!
Lamb biryani is my favourite. I've tried a few Indian restaurants whilst visiting Melbourne. The lamb biryani at this place has got to be my favourite. Just be careful about asking for extra spicy :)
Much better than expected. The food is great. Tablet setting was nice and clean. Butter chicken was the best I have ever had in Melbourne. I recommend you to have a try if you are willing to have exotic Indian food.
Best west side Indian yet!!!. I've just had the best Indian meal in the west. We have driven past Jai Ho alot and always say "one day we'll try that place". It's in an unusual location on Old Geelong rd that you won't expect to find lovely food, BUT it is worth exploring. We had the entree - Samosa Chat - delicious and a large serving too. This will fill the belly so beware if you have ordered a large main dish. Main was Chicken Biryani (tenderest chicken)and Butter Chicken, hands down best butter chicken we've tried :). The servings are generous as we struggled to finish our meal. This is traditional Indian food, no jar sauce here. I would love to have had dessert but couldn't fit it in, maybe I'll start with dessert next time.
The Curry guru in Werribee can do a cheap $10 butter chicken, but it doesn't taste anywhere as good as this one.
This is a quality place to dine in the Point Cook / Hoppers area. Mains are about $13 to $17. As well as being licensed, they have BYO wine. There is also a cocktail & mocktail menu. The decor has been done nicely too.
There were plenty of Indians dining here, always a good indication that the food rocks.
The service was attentive, efficient and friendly. We will be coming back again for sure. Highly recommend Jai Ho. For the area, this place stands out in quality for sure. The food here won't disappoint.
Have visited twice recently and impressed both times.
Friendly staff who were very attentive.
Set price banquets very good value and good chance to try a number of items.
Good selection of alcohol also which is a nice change.
Best Indian in Point Cook area.
Although it's in a bad location, this is a very nice Indian restaurant. Food is all made fresh on site (sourced from the Indian grocer next door) and the manager was very helpful in accommodating our dietary requirements. We had Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma & Coconut Rice, all of which tasted very fresh and not at all oily. The only let down was the Lassis - they used a syrup to sweeten the drink, which made it really too sweet. Otherwise, a thumbs up for the Hoppers area!
1st Birthday party!. We finalised on Jai Ho as the venue for our daughter's 1st birthday party...n it was by far the best decision we made! The food , the service and the ambience was excellent. The owners had kept to their word when they had mentioned to us that it would be the best service we would have ever received ...the staff was so polite and alert...they made sure the food was fresh and hot when served...all the entres n mains were absolutely delectable!
Everything was well taken care of and upto a standard that they maintain. By far the best experience we've had and we would recommend it to everyone...keep it up ...u guys are doing a great job!
Gotta try it!. Opened a year ago today. Excellent Rogan Josh and Malai Kofta. Flavour full of depth and well presented. Extensive menu and great for vegetarians. Lovely friendly service too. Just off freeway, loads of free parking. If you like Indian flood, you will love Jai Ho!
A random visit, I was worried that i should have made a booking as I do for so many restaurants every weekend.
But as I entered I realized Jai Ho has worked a lot on interiors to make it fully traditional. The lanterns, utensils and small idols displaying indian tradition etc. Talking about food,it was freshly cooked, delicious and a treat for my taste buds. Starters were like starters not a meal :) Every curry dish had different taste unlike other restaurants... Naans breads were so soft as well ..Staff was friendly and owners were really concerned.. Keep it up !!
The dinner ended with a well presented mango ice cream.. Yummmmm.. Thanks jai ho!! C u sooon !!! My birthday is next month hope to book with you guys for sure !!
Good Food, No customers?. We have made a couple of mid-week visits to this place now but yet to see more than a couple of other diners there yet the drive through Kebab shack in the car park seems to be doing a roaring trade.
They have a nice set-up and the staff seem very professional and attentive although they probably don't have that much else to do. The food is very good, at least the same standard as the Curry Guru in Werribee and a whole lot better than the Indian Roast further up the road.
Price wise, no complaints and given the quality of what was on offer we were happy with what we paid.
A good local Indian in perhaps not the best spot, hopefully they can build up a local following as more people discover they are there.
Very quiet restaurant. For some of the time we were the only ones there. They are a new restaurant and it will take time for them to build a customer base. Food is beautiful fresh and tasty. Customer service was beyond excellent. Impressed. Nice selection of unexpected cocktails too! GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, DISREGARD COMMENTS THAT SAY OTHERWISE :)
Best Indian food ever!!. The service, hospitality, quality of the food is amazing recommend to everyone!
If your not keen on Indian food but curious give this restaurant in hoppers crossing jai ho a go!!!!
Amazing best service in hoppers crossing or even in the west!
Fantastic Food and Service at Jai Ho Restaurant (Hoppers Crossing). A big shout of “Thanks” to the team at Jai Ho Restaurant – We had our daughter’s 7th month rice eating Indian ceremony there last Saturday 9th Mar and were so happy with everything! Absolutely amazing food, service & decoration – the owners both Gautam and Shraddha Thappar were very accommodating with all our requests and we could also have a small “havan” in the premises – they were patient listeners to understand our requirements and came up with recommendations which would suit our taste and budget. Shraddha made sure the decoration and all the little things that go with it were immaculate and Gautam presented the most amazing and delicious food. Each and every guest at the party commented on the quality of food, great customer service and decoration with the finesse – all their staff were also very polite and friendly. The restaurant looked great on the day of our special function! We had a very good experience and would be recommending it to our friends. Definately one of the best restaurants in the west for Indian food as the food tastes very authentic and not like most Indian restaurants around which is full of food color and preservatives. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Money well spent!
Definitely one of the best Indian Restaurants that Melbourne has to offer!! Good Food, great service & value for money!! Will be coming back here again for sure. Service is outstanding!!! Keep up the good work!
The decor & staff were 10/10 & even though we used an our deal voucher we were treated exceptionally. We had a choice of entree, mains, desert & naan & rice. We chose a variety of dishes & it was all lovely. The only negative feedback I can give is without the voucher it would have been a little overpriced.
Excellent!. The food at Jai Ho was amazing! I loved everything I tried and can definitely say it is some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. There was one piece of chicken that wasn't cooked properly and when I pointed it out to the waiter, management came over to the table and apologised profusely and got me another dish. They handled themselves in an extremely professional manner at all times and were very apologetic! I was very happy with the service here. Will definitely be back!
A positive review. Went here recently on a Saturday night. Was not overly packed out, but had a little flow of customers coming in after 7pm.
Was greeted at the door by staff who were friendly and polite. Chose were we wanted to sit.
Drink menu brought out right away, but knowing what I wanted to drink, I had to ask for food menu.
Had some chicken dishes, I think everyone of us had chicken dishes and they were all ok. Mine was rather sweet, but overall cooked and tasty.
Male waiter came by often to check how things were, he was polite, friendly and appeared he wanted to help and be helpful.
I actually never seen someone move so fast when another table called him over. I call that dedication.
Although bit more pricier then the other Indian places around (based on us ordering pretty much the same thing) the overall food quality was good.
Good background music playing in the background.
Decor pretty good - certainly done a bit more then the original shop.
