Rustic Plate - Hornsby - Photo album

Ok there's a bit of a wait for the food as there's only one guy toiling away in the kitchen, but once the food is at the table, it's super fresh and tasty. Generous proportions and very tasty chips. Friendly service too but it's not a place to grab a quick bite.
It's a relatively new place to have opened in Hornsby. We walked in for a Saturday breakfast without really knowing what to expect, and have had pleasant surprise on how well they did their coffee and food. I've had Italian saucy eggs with added chorizo, which was full of flavour, warm and hearty.
Award for best (paper) napkins goes to.... Drum roll... Rustic Plate. Also, their food was excellent and service was happy and efficient. Potato Beef Bravos was my favourite pick, but all was tasty. Coffee also quite good.
Very disappointed with quality of the meals Ordered 2 medium rare steaks. We were served 2 thin pieces of meat like Snitchels! and French Fries chips probably from McDonald's as the waitress told us before they're having to buy more chips!! And no care about food quality whatsoever. Another place to
Underwhelming - I won't go back. Service was friendly and good, but, garlic pizza was very doughy. And, calamari was inedible, because it was too tough.
Not only delicious food but absolutely all of the staff are friendly and happy. They really seem to go the extra mile with their food and menu choices! This will be my new restaurant of choice in Hornsby!
Awful service - sat there for about 10 minutes, no one even bothered to take our order. Finally decided to go next door to the Shores restaurant, where we had an amazing lunch.
Casual Italian-style dining. Great tapas served generously. Try their eggplant dish. It's delicious!
