Review The Coffee Club - Hornsby

Terrible food, small portions and pretty expensive. Ordered the traditional smashed avo on toast + feta. Couldn't believe my eyes when i saw how small and poorly made it was. Looked like a 5yo cooked it. Not great taste either. Also asked if they had 'fresh juice' and ordered the strawberry lemonade frappe, it was pure sugar and artificial flavor. No good! Can't see how this people manage to stay in business.

Stopped here for coffee and cake in between shopping and was bitterly disappointed. My dining companion ordered a long black and was happy with the result but that was as far as our satisfaction went. I ordered the chai latte and received what more closely resembled sugared, watery milk and neither of us took more than a bite or two of our desserts. Considering the only thing that was finished was the coffee and soft drink it was rather a waste of money. At least the service was friendly enough.

Don't seem to be able to handle high volume of customers efficiently. Plaza packed due to wet weather, latte was more milk then coffee which took 10mins, another 10 for smoothie and 25min for muesli, had to ask for a spoon which took another few minutes and pancakes without the maple syrup. Couldn't be bothered asking for syrup as we were hungry. Usually better service then this on previous occasions, maybe untrained staff today.

Ordered the avacado on toast and the avocado had poor taste and was not a very generous serving, the feta was also very very plain. Should take more pride in providing quality ingredients. Also had a 'belgian' hot chocolate with none of the richness and creaminess that marks selling a hot chocolate under this name. Don't charge premium prices for a plain hot chocolate, it's false advertisement. Fast service though and my wife enjoyed her frappe.

Usually i find it has good service ,competitive pricing and reasonably tasty food. 2 weeks ago, i ordered avacoda extra with a toasted breakfast meal and tea. It tasted funny, was very watery and i had an upset tummy after 4-5 hours. Quite disappointed in an icon i have believed in for years!

Coffee was fine but food was stale I spat it out on the plate. I mistakenly asked for something else and the same issue. Banana bread was dry. Cheesecake had oudours from the fridge through it. Next time I'll avoid franchises and go to one of the other places that take pride in preparation of their own food. Avoid not cheap either.

We went for toasties and coffee at 4:30 on a wednesday afternoon. We were unsure whether they were open because all the people sitting were in one side of the area. We went to order and the staff member behind the counter did not greet us and as we started our order she picked up her phone then walked into the kitchen area then came back and pretended like she didn't just ignore us. Our coffees took way too long and we could see that as the staff member was making our coffee she was having a casual conversation between other members of staff and a random young woman. The coffees were alright, mine (mocha with almond milk) was really good but my mums flat white was very average. The staff member who brought our food was obviously sick and although we did not see her cough on or near our food, the staff member was coughing all over the tables, and wasn't covering her mouth. The price paid was not worth what we had

Have been to this coffee club before and had a good time. This time though ruined it for us and won't be back again! We ordered eggs on toast and a breakfast burger with smashed avo on the side.. the burger came with avo on it and I said I wanted it on the side for my son, so they came back with it on the side but the burger was missing the salad and sauce! So I complained again and the man just sighed and said give me a minute and it came back out they had just thrown a whole handful on and squirted heaps of sauce! Was not nice at all.. my friends eggs came 40 minuted after she ordered and were half raw so she asked for them to cook it longer and they took it and forgot to come back so we asked for her money back and left. The staff were rude, and they weren't apologetic they had no customer service skills at all. Wish I could give no stars.

Christmas shopping builds an appetite, doesn’t it? Well we were doing the former and it lead to the latter. We decided to drop in for a quick bite at The Coffee Club in Westfield Hornsby. The Coffee Club has outlets all over the place so we basically knew what we’d be able to get, simplifying the whole process even more. We ordered at the counter and grabbed a spot to eat and watch the shoppers rush by!

The food portions were reasonably small and quite expensive. Staff are nice and warm however aren't quick enough with clearing tables and wiping them down. Chai lattes are good however

This particular Coffe Club is located as part of the sprawling Westfield shopping center at Hornsby. I was just looking to curb my sweet instincts when a fancy triangular pastry caught my attention. It was a raspberry marble baked cream cheese cake.<br/><br/>It looked really appetizing with a marble design of red and white over a crumbed chocolate bread with a decoration of white chocolate peaks on top. Had no second thoughts in ordering despite it's rather steep price of close to 7$.<br/><br/>The cheese cake lived upto it's looks by being decadent. It was luscious and sinful with an abundance of cream cheese and the combination of raspberry and vanilla worked really well. Having a chocolate base at the bottom was a rather nice twist and the white chocolate peacons bunked in the cake was an added bonus.<br/><br/>Overall, a pretty nice affair. They seem to have loads of good looking pastries apart from their flagship beverages. A good place to munch and drink something amidst shopping in the mall.

I had a very different experience to the reviews below! <br/>Went to The Coffee Club this morning for a morning coffee with the family - overall we we left happy and satisfied.<br/><br/>- Service was friendly and took my entertainment voucher (2 coffees for 1 deal) with no hassle at all<br/>- Tables were all cleaned and ready to go (it was pretty early in the morning though, not sure how it would be later)<br/>- Coffees came out very quickly and were good<br/>- The long black had a lovely creme and nice aroma <br/>- The skim cappuccinos had great flavour with a generous sprinkle of chocolate on top!

Bad service. Tables not cleared from 10 mins after customers leave. Our table still not cleared after being served food!!<br/>Poor quality food and expensive.<br/>Was ok two years ago but not now. Sorry won't be back.<br/>This below was $15!

Wtf. Wow... the WORST service ever. Served at the counter by the owner (who did not evwn smile once.. wake up!!) and then my coffee was made my a 16 year oldwho was reading instructions off a piece of paper... i ordered vegemite toast which took 5 minutes. Only to be seved with two slices of dry bread and sachets of butter and vegemite... also the cafe was dead quiet.. it used to be so busy but new owners. I WILL NOT be going back. So annoyed

Re: Sleepy and inefficient. The place was not busy and there were 3 staff members behind the counter.<br/>It took 20 minutes for them to serve three coffees.These were not brought on a tray but by two young students.<br/>The cafe art that the barista had tried to do was all over the place by the time it arrived.<br/>It would have been quicker for me to import the coffee and make it myself.
