I stopped in to Brew to grab, well a brew. I really like their corner location as it's easy to spot; and the ambience is warm and comfortable. The decor is attractive and it's a pleasure to pop in here.
I grabbed a takeaway and it was nice and hot and well made. The barista was lovely and I will be sure to pop back in for a nice brunch next time.
The new look Brew Bar is a great place for both breakfast and a night time meal (on Fridays and Saturdays). Coffee is reasonably priced and good as is the food.
I have the fondest memories of eating brunch here❤️ I love their pancakes and I always kept coming back for more 💕 Thanks Brew Cafe for being one of the longest running cafes in Hughesdale 🙈

Cute little cafe around the corner, great coffee. Tasty lunch - had the chicken sandwich and a lamb salad. Will definitely return, good sized portions!
If you want a decent coffee, Brew is worth the extra mile to get too. Located a stones throw I’m from Chadstone in Hughesdale. Hosts Peter and Evan serve up some amazing cafe cuisine and sensational coffee experience. Definitely a great place to recharge the batteries!

Blessed are those that taste the Persian feta here. Aside from the very pleasant coffee and staff, the food here really brought it home. Please try the mushroom and feta toast. Also, my boyfriend said his savoury crêpe was the best he’s had so definitely do give them a go. Will be back.
Simply delicious food and wounderfully smooth and aromatic coffee. Always a favourite place to have a cute breaky in the sun.

Great local cafe - best in area by far
Brew Bar is a great, local café, instantly welcoming to everybody. Warm, friendly with delicious, quality food and drink. Carole and I have been to Brew Bar many times over many years, We’ve used for celebrations for the family, for lunches, for business discussions and just to have a rest, relax and a splendid cuppa coffee - which they do very well indeed.
Carole and I were out and about recently - it was approaching lunchtime, it made excellent sense to drop in for lunch and a drink.
Carole enjoyed her Chicken Mayo Foccacia, while I did enjoy my Zucchini Fritter with avocado, mushroom and an egg. Both marvelous, excellent quality lunches - quite delicious.
We both washed our meal down with one of their great Cappuccinos.
Brew Bar has not lost any of its quality or charm. It still provides quality and freshness in their meals. Meals are all cooked on the premises, thus ensuring meals are always fresh - which makes them so enjoyable.
Service is fast, prompt and efficient, with staff always happy to chat.
Pricing is very reasonable considering the quality meal you receive. It will not be hard for us to return in the not-too-distant future for more.
The coffee is consistently good but on this occasion breakfast was also required and it was a big thumbs up on that front too. A big greasy, baconey, sandwich - the ultimate hangover cure breakfast. This was the first time Your Dear Luncher parked his rear end inside and took a good look around inside Brew. This is a really nice cafe.
Came here for brunch and sat outside. Definitely recommend the breakfast salad if you're after a healthier option that ticks all the boxes. Menu seems to have a good balance of classic breakfast meals and trendier more exotic choices.
Courtyard had a huge back table which would have been useful had we had more people but still peaceful for a couple people looking to getaway from the bustle of front of house. Only thing I could have wished for was warmer weather!

Brew cafe - Hughesdale (near the station), cuisine - cafe style. This place is on the walk to the station every morning so I have passed through so many times but have actually gone in only a couple of times. Not sure why? It is a very decent cafe with great breakfast & lunch options. Most choices are standard for vegetarians- mushrooms, Avo smash, fritters. They do add a twist to most of the dishes to make it more interesting. Food tastes good but doesn't reach that wow factor! However it still is one of the best in the south eastern suburbs. Mushrooms were the best and delicious. Pancakes were yumm and very pretty presentation. Avo smash was very average. Bruschetta was decent! So definitely worth a try if you are in the neighborhood. I like Brew - it's clean and neat with good customer service and decent food at a price that is actually pretty bang on for what you get. The menu specials are always good and pretty interesting and different from standard cafes.
The coffee is nice and even though it's got the family element to it - with a blackboard for the kids to draw on - it's perfect for those who have no kids to eat at too as the sections aren't too close that it's circus. Recommend for all occasions.
Went here with a friend for breakfast and ordered the smashed avocado each and coffees. It was brilliant! The avocado was just a little big lumpy, but the flavours were all there and made it such a good pairing to our scrambled eggs and toast. Coffee was also really really nice! Walked out happy
Have been a regular here since we arrived over a year ago. Coffee is unstintingly excellent and the scrambled eggs are superb. Everything on the menu is well crafted. Should rate a four average!
In addition, I would rate the zucchini fritters with haloumi, the best value brekkie in the area!
Delicious food, great coffee, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly people! We have dined here a few times now and it's starting to become our regular place for brekkie!!!
It took 30 minutes to get our brunch, in the mean time really bad coffee this time. Coffee here can be inconsistent, but usually it's okay. Once getting our meals, it is average and not worth the wait. Nice staff though.
Stopped in for brunch while visiting friends. The Lebanese scrambled eggs with feta were fantastic, and the coffee was strong enough to help me shake off my jet lag!
A favourite with the locals, a true reflection of gentrification of the area this place really shines a light on a bright future for the quiet streets of Hughesdale. The decor of this place inside is modern and fresh, the coffee is fantastic! They have a few nice spots outside which have umbrellas to keep you and your pup in the shade on those sunny days.

All in All Amazing. I went with my friend, and had my big breakfast it was such a big meal, delicious and fresh..my friend recognized their friendly service which gave two thumbs for the team..I love their coffee but it's a bit cold when I had it..

Local Gem. Moved into the Murrumbeena area a few months ago from Sydney and have been frustrated with the coffee shops within the area. Friend of mine recommended Brew Bar and happy to say found my local coffee watering hole.
Same faces behind the counter that know how you want your coffee. Nice breaky menu in warm & fresh surrondings.
Great Service! The renovation has definitely made it the new local place to be, and with friendly local staff. We had the chicken stack and chicken pot pie and both were delicious and generous serves. We always frequent around here for our coffee hit!

The renovations are on point, the whole place has a modern warm feel to it with beautiful natural timbers and really cool pendant lights. New menu looks great - I had the Brew Burger and it was so tasty. Loving that it's now table service as well.
Brew at opens after great reno. Had a great brekky. Smash avocado with poached eggs and pancakes mascarpone cream wit mixed berries. Place has a great atmosphere and friendly staff ...will be back soon 4 sure !!! Oh. Coffee was great too.....

Consistently great quality coffee and food. Very reasonably priced considering its location in the fairly well to do area if Murrumbeena. Friendly staff and cute decor.
Super friendly service and good honest food and nice coffee.
The only disappointment was the hollandaise sauce. It was a 'cheat' version. You cannot cheat with hollandaise sauce.
Overpriced...ordinary. Really dont like the food here...... we live literally 50m from this place but won't be returning.
If you want to charge gourmet prices, then bring your food up to scratch!
they use tinned baked beans, packet bread and bought sausages. Ordinary eggs. nothing is made in house and no flair on the menu. Basic is fine, but bring your prices in line to reflect that!
Our breakfast bill came to $50 for two meals and 2 coffees....we could go to Coin Laundry or 3 Bags Full or Auction Rooms and get artisan sourdough, house made sausages, beans and relishes for that price ! and we will...
Not being a snob at all - happy to eat basic food, but not for that price :)

Nice place. I come here quite often. Its always busy and they are always serve food in a timely manner which is a perk when you're grabbing a bite on your lunch break. I'm a fan of the chicken club sandwhich and their breakfasts. Coffee is usually ok (not fabulous but not terrible by any means)

This morning I tried the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon Breakfast special. This was great, but I wasn't a huge fan of the Corn fritter underneath. Would prefer the sourdough toast.
My partner had the B.L.T Breakfast Special. He gave it 5 stars 🌟
The coffee here is fantastic and keeps us coming back.
You can also do lunch here. You can still select from the breakfast menu .. or go for a more lunchtime type of meal from the menu. See my picture. The linguine is one of the best options on the menu 🍝
My favourite part of Brew though is the Cocktails and Tapas in the evening.
Cocktails are amazing and the share tapas plates top them off beautifully.

There are tables outside - with outdoor heating near the roadside. These are actually quieter than the tables inside. That is the biggest drawback of Brew. It is very noisy inside. This is mainly due to the concrete floors, exposed ceilings and brick walls - but the addition of music playing behind the counter makes it a bit uncomfortable. If they turned off the music it would be much better inside.
Ordered the brew chicken sandwich. Sandwich itself was fantastic, chicken and bacon cooked perfectly and the pesto was a really nice touch. The chips were nice and cripsy. Staff were very pleasant and friendly.
Friendly staff, nice environment, pancakes were perfect, smashed Avocado was really good! My only disappotment was the chai latte was extremely watery and tasteless. Everything else really nice.
Great coffee . I just had takeaway today.
Scope of 5 stars is still there once I actually sit and experience dine in and eat some nice food.
Will update after my next experience.
I take my Client there every week the staff are fantastic the food is great and it's all ways clean as and tidy I recommend to go grab a coffee and a bite to eat you won't be disappointed
