Authentic, affordable and tasty! Hidden gem near Murrumbeena train station. One of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne, fresh ingredients all the way and VERY good value for money. Highly recommend
This unassuming Thai restaurant in the heart of the Huntingdale shopping strip screams value, authenticity and deliciousness!
The dishes are tasty, filling and overall are great value for a take away or even a dine in. The staff are lovely and they are committed to their customers. The interior isn’t the most flash, but I don’t mind as I love their Ribbon Noodle and their Massamun curry. I’m sure the other dishes would also be great. Their sides are so worth it too (look at the photos). If you don’t want a pricey Thai eatery, Best Thai has you covered. What a great place.

I love Thai foods, and this is my best thai restaurant in Melbourne. Ive tried a lot of thai restaurants before, but I'm sure that this is the best one. Recently I moved in Huntingdale, and tried this restaurant. Then, I just fell in love with the Spicy fried rice and tom yum soup! I love the taste!
Best Thai is a worthy name. My husband and I have been coming here for years, the only problem we've ever had is that all other Thai places pale in comparison- except in Thailand. The placemat ambiance is simple, which is okay for us. usually we will be the only people in the place (since most orders are takeaway).
The service is very quick, with amazingly fresh food every time.
The best part? The price! My hubby and I get our usual order for 19.90 and there is normally enough food that we take a doggy bag home!
Best Thai pretty much sums it up. This place is our go to for local thai takeaway. Always consistently tasty food. Particularly we like their chicken cashew stir fry, tom yum soup and red curry. The larb gai is good too. Oh and the thai samosas are really yummy. The prices are reasonable too
Nothing to fault. The food was full of lots of veggies and meat and the sauce was amazing, Had the drunker chicken. Absolutely would recommend to all!

Reasonable and fairly tasty Pad Thai and Ribbon noodles. You could ask for more spice if you wish. They're always accommodating to my request for more vegetables and the use of less oil in cooking.
Very friendly place. Only tried the massamum chicken curry. Had it like 5 times now. Great.

Tasty food, fast service and cheap. This place is pretty good, the Pad Thai is very tasty.
Fairly decent takeaway. I ordered a delivery from this restaurant last night. You do have to make an order over $25 to get the free delivery, but seeing that we were making a delivery for two it wasn't difficult.
I ordered the Beef Pud Thai and a small coconut rice. The Pud Thai was very tasty and filling, and the rice was much larger than I expected it to be. Great for the price. I was happy to have the leftovers for lunch today.
Delivery was quick, however the delivery man was a little flustered and nearly left without giving me my change. However he was apologetic.
I might consider ordering from these people again.
It was better than I thought it was going to be! Flavors were nearly there, lacked a little in the intricacies that Thai food has .
We had the food delivered containers weren't full. But for $10.50 per dish I can't complain too much.
Thumbs up!. I've tried a lot of the Thai places around this part of town and Best Thai Takeaway was a pleasant surprise. The food was very flavoursome and provided a different take on some usual dishes.
A good example of this is their red curry. It's usually prepared the same at most Thai places (even down to the way they cut the meat) which doesn't give much of a "personal" touch to the food (one you might find when eating a home cooked meal and one family's recipe differs to another's). Best Thai had different ingredients and the beef was in cubes not slices (very very tender cubes as well!).
The BBQ chicken was cooked well too as it was tender and not dry. It is significantly cheaper than most other Thai places, but this doesn't mean it's of less quality. For a different take on some signature Thai dishes it's definitely work checking out.

The only thing I would comment on is I guess My chicken fried rice probly only got very few chicken even tho its really tasty. But i guess I could not expect much for a decent price take away dish. I will definately try other dishes.
I do rather enjoy this place. Curries are fab. Who doesn't love having left overs for lunch the next day too?!

Very nice Thai food. Green curry tasted really nice and authentic, Pad Grapow was nice, and Tom Yum friend rice was also very tasty.

Quality takeaway thai food with good value for money. I order the stir fries and fried rice dishes regularly which are delicious, though the fried tofu isn't too flavourful.

Ordered tofu green curry, coconut rice, tofu pineapple rice, tofu chili noodles and a veg serving of spring rolls.
It was ready in under 20 min for me to pick up and the people are absolutely lovely.
It's so nice to interact with nice people. It's a rarer occurrence these days than it used to be.
I was able to have a chat with the lovely lady who served me.
The rice was perfectly cooked. The pineapple rice was my favourite. Never had that before and will definitely be back for more!
The Green Curry was awesome, spicy and hot while soothing as green curry often is and should be. Teamed with the coconut rice it was a real delight. Plenty of vegetables and content which was also a nice surprise. Often restaurants skimp on such things and it ruins the experience when places rip you off, especially vegetables which are so cheap.
The spring rolls were great. I think there may have been some lemongrass in them. They were cooked in fresh oil and were lovely and crisp.
All up it cost $41.00 for the lot and I was able to get 5 meals out of it. That's great value and I will be back again very soon.
I highly recommend these ladies and gentlemen. Really, really nice people who provide excellent food at a reasonable cost.
What more could you ask for?
Oh, almost forgot- there is a certificate in the window showing they gained an award in 2016 for cleanliness of their premises. Also excellent news!
They are closed on Mondays and while taste buds may not like this, everyone deserves a break!
