Best of the best 50/5 will recommend and will come every time. Best service and exceptional experience
Great food, great milk teas with awesome flavours and lots of pearls !

I had lunch there, which offered a wide selection of foods, from the sweet to the savoury. The sesame ball with salted egg yolk was my favourite. The rest we ordered were all great as well. Servings were just right, and overall just a nice little restaurant with heaps to choose from.
Small little shop with an extensive menu. Really enjoy the food here. Order and drink on the side and if you have the room, get dessert too. Great taiwanese shop.
Absolutely Taiwanese local food and almost same taste unlike some Australian influenced cuisine. You will find something you miss from here. No more homesick lol
Traditional taste of Taiwan. Highly recommended by Taiwanese friends. Delicious food and super friendly and helpful staff. Love it. Give it a try and you won’t regret it.
Favourite Taiwanese shop forever! Everything from the menu is recommended. Been here few hundred times already, and never got bored of the menu as there were lots of different selections!
Great selection of authentic Taiwanese food. Great deals as well. However keep in mind that this place is cash only. I had the meat dumpling, pork spare ribs in herbal soup, assorted appetisers platter and also the huanluan pork knuckle
Diamond Cafe is an alright Taiwanese restaurant. The noodles were very large and the chicken ordered beside that was very scrumptious. This place is alright with inviting desserts and cute aesthetic of the drinks although the place needs a little tidying up. The first time I had been here I was disgusted by a large bug on the wall behind me. To make it worse, the tables were greasy. Large amounts of noisy chatter can be heard and the food is costly compared to other noodle restaurants. Overall you should come here to taste traditional Taiwanese food only if you do not mind the dirty aspects the restaurant.
Not a bad spot, really popular with locals and this is evident in the long queue outside. The menu is large and we weren't sure what their signature dishes were so ended up ordering what looked good on the adjacent table - noodles with fried chicken on the side. It happened to be a hot day too and we couldn't resist a shaved ice treat afterwards. The service can be a little slow and lukewarm, but I'd be keen to come back to try their other dishes.

Diamond Cafe in Hurstville is a buzzy little hole-in-the-wall joint with an extensive menu of Taiwanese street classics and homely staples. We had a hoot trying some of our favourite dishes that we found on our trip to Taiwan. With such a large menu Diamond Cafe doesn't quite nail everything, but we don't expect them to. In Taiwan it's rare to find all these dishes on one menu, you would have to visit dozens of specialist stalls and restos to try all this stuff. How can one tiny kitchen in Hurstville compete with dozens of aunties and uncles who make a single dish all day every day?
Satisfactory but Cramped. Firstly, as a note to any prospective diners, the kitchen closes about 30 minutes before the indicative closing time. We noticed that many customers arriving slightly after 9 pm were turned away as the kitchen had closed.
Other than that, there is not that much to say about Diamond Cafe. The quaint Taiwanese-owned and -run hole-in-the-wall café in Hurstville, a suburb in the southern Sydney, is adjacent to the Diamond Bakery and near a CBA. The service is reasonably good, with the owner competent in English to hold make recommendations, take your order, and hold conversation. However, it seems that service is a little here and there and the staff are constantly on the move. Occasionally, the owner hands out (otherwise unsold) bread from the next-door Bakery to diners and waiting prospective customers, which is, we suppose, is a nice touch.
The food at Diamond Café is acceptable and reflects a number of influences, such as Japanese cuisine. We enjoyed the takoyaki, curries, and other Japanese favourites, which were good enough for a non-Japanese restaurant. The variety at the café is noticeable, particularly with their substantial shaved ices. Generally, most things represent decent value for money.
Perhaps the only remarkable shortcoming of Diamond Café is the dearth of seating and space. The place is very narrow and not many tables are available. If diners hang around, you may end up waiting for 10 to 20 minutes. This is only slightly redeemed by the fact that orders can be taken as you wait and things are freshly prepared, or at least seem to be freshly prepared, and served soon after you are seated.
On balance, Diamond Café is good enough and we may return (and come earlier next time). On the basis of its variety of shaved ices alone, we would recommend considering this eatery when choosing for places to eat or to have supper.
I love me some authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup especially on a cold and rainy day! My friend brought me here for the first time, and the spices in the beef noodle soup were spot on and it hit the spot for me for sure! My friend ordered a hot and sour noodle soup and had a lot of black fungus mushrooms which were yummy 🤤! They were very generous with their portions!
It is a small restaurant, definitely worth the little wait if they don’t have tables available.
* Diamond Cafe is a great place for Taiwanese food. The menu has a great variety of items and food comes in generous portions as well. There’s a discount on drinks (Taiwanese milk tea, lemon tea) if you add them to your meal. Very good value.
* Diamond Bakery is located next to Diamond Cafe in Hurstville. It provides an extensive range of Taiwanese pastries and cakes. One of my favourite cakes is the durian one. It is flavourful, fluffy, and delicious.
Service is quick. Pricing is affordable.
The service’s slow today as I’d see only one person working to serve customers. I had ham and cheese omelette for brunch and it’s delicious. Would definitely come back again to try more variety of food.
So much variety on their menu, We love their store made grass/ Aiyu jelly desserts infusions which we could not find another store in Sydney capable of producing the same quality of Taiwanese flavors. In most aspects they offer more alternatives then meet fresh and Gongcha with bubble tea and custom desserts. A must for sweet lovers, dont forget to pop in their bakery just next door for the restaurant.
Great spot for some Taiwanese fare. Servings were generous and food tasty.
