Great experience, Considering Hurstville is mostly Chinese people. It has has decent Korean food here. If I can't be bothered going to Strathfield for good fried chicken, i'd suggest coming here. The chicken is made properly here with a deep fryer pressure cooker. So you get the juiciness of the chicken and the great bite from the batter. Service here isn't too bad considering it is usually a one or two man show. Only downside is, fried chicken is really the only good thing they make here. Everything else is average, In reference to average, i'm saying you could probably cook that at home with a few recipes from Maangchi
Chicken Maru is a lovely korean restaurant known mostly for their chicken (as the name would suggest) located in an obscure placement, upon the upper level of a bar. It is a spacious area with good vibes and great food and staff.
Of course upon our visits we are always sure to order the chicken in which we most recently tried the popular chicken with cheese powder ($18 for half), soy chicken ($17 for half) and beef rib soup ($17).
Service was quick and each dish was cooked very well! The soy chicken is definitely sweeter and has a sticky consistency whilst the chicken with cheese powder contrasted well with its more subtle yet still incredibly tasting cheese powder. Both the chicken had great coating and were fried very well as could be told from both crunch and colour and so in all we were very satisfied with the chicken. The beef rib soup as well proved to be a lovely addition, with a nice peppery taste and non overpowering flavours.
In all our experience here was very well received and all though it is a bit pricey, portions are quite good and you can always come with multiple people with definite results that all will be full!
Got recommended by a friend to come here to try their fried chicken. It's located above the Golden Tiger Bar, prime location as it's right across from the train station!
We ordered the fried chicken with dusted cheese powder (AMAZING!) and the bibimbap (#15). Managed to demolish everything and that says something. Pretty decent Korean food in Hurstville I must say.
I have been to better Korean restaurants, the Korean food they serve is average. The fried chicken is very tasty, I do wish they used bigger chickens as they only use small chickens and they don't have much meat on it and for the price it's expensive. I do recommend the cheese and soboro powder chicken.
The snow flake crispy chicken is hands down better than Arisun. Better batter and that cheese powder. I know it sounds odd having cheese powder on top of your chicken but trust it will be love at first bite. The sides that they served are way better than most of the Korea restaurants I've tried in the city and Strathfield too. The seafood pancake was a bit soggy at the bottom but ok apart from that. The only negative thing was that they didn't bring us the drinks we ordered and the. proceeded to charge us for it but just make sure you chase them up.
Quite good. Ambience is good, relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere. Decor is good, they have cute lights. A bit cold though. The soy chilli chicken is quite chilli be careful, very tasty!

I've been here two (2) times the first time with my friends and the second time with other friends and the fried chicken is amazing we normally get cheese and wasabi and soy and garlic flavours and they're all great I don't have the other Korean dishes though because I don't like Korean food that much but yeah the Korean fried chicken is actually highly rated
I find this place very comfortable and spacious, modeled like a typical korean cafe. It's not very exposed so it might be very hard to find. The fried chicken, is very decent to what I've experienced. I recommend the Chicken with cheese, it's very on point :)
Hip hip hooray! There is finally a Korean Fried Chicken restaurant in Hurstville! I'm fighting back tears of joy! This restaurant only opened up a month or so ago, but it is already quite busy. It is hidden away on top of the back end of a pub. It is right next to the bus exchange, upstairs from the Golden Tiger Bar - there are plenty of signs to guide you upstairs.
I went with my boyfriend to this place, not knowing what to expect. This place is very out-of-the-way, and without having followed Drool Worthy World on Instagram, we would have never known it existed. The place is best being described as being next to the Hurstville Bus Interchange, upstairs from VIP Lounge.Safe to say that it had the most traditional-looking and decent bibimbap I've had in a while (the pictures say it all). The kimchi banchae was a little too much for my chilli tolerance, but all the sides were still delicious.
We also ordered kimchi dumplings, which were barely spicy at all compared to the kimchi banchae, but were texturally sound, well-stuffed and still delicious. The downside to the dumplings were that the skin would harden after cooling down for a while, so it's better to eat them quickly! We have yet to try the fried chicken, but I'm looking forward to trying them tonight! It's the best Korean joint in Hurstville in my books, and I'd recommend everyone to give it a try!
I am surprised to find places like this in Hurstville, it is very spacious, tables are spaced out very comfortably, it feels simple and modern. It's above a VIP lounge, literally next to the bus interchange, do not go to the Hurstville RSL club. Fried chicken's batter was light and crispy, the chicken was surprisingly juicy, it was cooked to perfection. The only component that let me down a little was the shredded shallot on top of the chicken, was wet and cold.
Korean Fried Chicken, or rather, KFC, has become a huge trend in Sydney lately with new KFC joints popping up everywhere and now, Hurstville has joined the KFC gang. Soy Chilli Fried Chicken: The batter was cooked to perfection and the chicken was flavoursome and tender. LeeLoo thought it was bit too spicy for her liking, should have gone with the soy chicken without chilli.
On the first floor of the newly opened rsl, we were surprised to be faced with a large open modern space with already a few tables occupied. Hurstville is not known for its korean food and we welcomed this place with open arms. Specializing in fried chicken, w alcohol we were eager to see if this place was worth coming back to. Service is pleasant, the wasabi fried chicken was fried to perfection $17 gives you a half serve of chicken, we had the bimibap and also the beef korean stew $38 which was plenty to share for two on a separate occasion. It might not be the best fried chicken I've had but for a local haunt if def give it a thumbs up.
Superb Korean style fried chicken, probably the best in Sydney. The way these guys fried their chicken is culinary achievement. Each pieces are very crispy but do not feel oily. Sauces are delicious - both spicy one and soy sauce one.
The place is on the upper level above the pub.
Great fried chicken here with lots of variety in flavors /sauces. The chicken is moist, tasty and crunchy. The side dishes are also great.
Great food. Better than naru one imo. Not enough waitress on busy times, only one kitchen and one outside.
We come here for some delicious Korean Fried Chicken and other tasty korean dishes,
