Quite expensive for what you get. The gyozas are nice but not incredible. I do like the dessert gyozas though. I went here with an entertainment book voucher. Probably wouldn’t eat here unless using a discount voucher.
Consistency is key at Harajuku Gyoza. This is another outlet killing it in terms of decor, food, quality & service. When it comes to value, if you use EatClub or the Entertainment Book it works out to be about right.
Poached duck & poached chicken are our go-to gyoza but tonight we added a new fav sharing dish to the fold: slow cooked pork belly kakuni be thy name. Rich, soft, fatty & holding together juuuuust long enough to get in my mouth. So oinkingly lushe.
Super frosty draught beer seductively tempted us to stay but there’s only time for a quick pash-n-dash before our movie. Will return for the more languid version soon.
We have visited most of the Harajuka franchises so decided to try out this Indooroopilly branch. Service was a bit slow, but apart from that the food was tasty & in generous serves. We ordered some vegetarian gyoza which were melt in the mouth delicious, some miso soup, eggplant & foot long fries. The fries were literally a foot long & had a succulent crunch
We visit our local Harajuku Gyoza with a 30% discount voucher from Eat Club. Service here is always friendly and helpful. We place our order before the lunchtime rush. Phuong Tran enjoys her complimentary Lychee Martini while we wait.
Our lunch order arrives after 20 minutes.
* Pork & Prawn Gyoza
* Chicken & Lemongrass Gyoza
* Duck Gyoza
* Miso Soup
Our Pan-Fried Gyoza are freshly prepared and this is a delicious dumpling lunch!
We had such a great lunch. The decor was authentic Japanese, and the prices were very reasonable. The service was awesome, with an actual Japanese waitress.
Grilled pork gyoza, grilled duck gyoza, and a pork belly open gyoza shared between me and my daughter. A glass of Coke and a Sapporo beer to wash it all down.
Mid-week lunchtime, one staff on the floor and one in the kitchen. We came in around 1pm and out the door around 1:45pm. Coming in, I was expecting a long wait for service. Surprisingly, that was not the case.
We always go with the ‘grilled’ gyozas (pan fried technically, but with good food, I’d overlook technicalities). The little bit of char on the gyoza wrapper just gives it more depth of flavour and texture. Happily finished the pork and duck parcels of yumminess.
The pork belly with apple and pickled ginger on crispy gyoza is a favourite of mine. No charring but the crispy skin is so different. Think crispy shell tacos with Asian filling. Only complaint, there was too much ginger which overwhelmed the pork+apple classic combo. Easily solved though, some ginger off the gyoza and left on the plate. Perfect!
Writing this makes me want to visit again!
Sometimes I like getting yelled at, so I come here and order some sake. Their gyoza is pretty tasty, still can't tell if I prefer the grilled or poached versions. I'm not totally satisfied with their limited options overall though.
Great service, great atmosphere, good food and bad prices. Great for a group outing because the price evens out but to eat solo or as a couple can get fairly pricey given the small portions.

Take note that this is of course all based on my unqualified opinion!
My considerations: 1. Food 2. Value 3. Service 4. Atmosphere

Got to love this restaurant chain! If you ever get a hankering for Gyoza this is a reliable and easy option! Sometimes I get ahead of myself and forget to take that sneaky food photo, and today was one of those! The food is all made to order, piping hot when it comes out and there is a decent variety. If you have ever wondered what the open gyoza is, it's not really what I was expecting (see photo with pink pickled onion). It was on a crunch prawn cracker and served chilled. Anyway, I don't mind this place, or the other chains located in most shopping districts. I recommend the chicken, ginger and choice gyoza! Nom!!!
Most west side foodies would know, the Station Road dining precinct offers a number of delectable restaurant options for shoppers, conveniently situated right outside of Indooroopilly shopping centre. Having spent a long hard day shopping (after a healthy dose of retail therapy :P), we decided to grab some lunch at Harajuku Gyoza.
What's with the shrill girly over the top waitresses! The room is noisy and small. Outside is better if the weather is good. However the service and food is good and fast. Beware the up-selling on drinks and food. Overall a quick and pleasant experience but not a place to linger.
Yummy dumplings and friendly staff is what you should expect in any of the Harajuku Gyozas. This one was no different however I found it very noisy inside the small room. The food was delicious and prepared quickly even though it was busy so all up a very positive experience.
Outstanding service from our waitress with equally good service from the kitchen. Food was well prepared and arrived quickly. Waitress was very fluent in the menu and showed initiative with specials, vegetarian options and validating the car parking from the nearby shopping center.
I love it here!
Yum dumplings that are always reliably delicious...
Friends had ramen... Stick to the dumplings - it's what they do best.
My 5yr (4 at the time) learned to love dumplings by eating them here.
Friendly, fun and funky.
And ice cold Kirin on tap! What more could you want?
Loooooove Harijuku Gyoza.. Always so yummy! The tempura eggplant is to die for... And the tebasaki wings.. And the tofu... Yummmmm. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
After doing some shopping we decided to grab some lunch. We had walked past Harajuku Gyoza plenty of times, but this day we decided on going in. I am usually cautious of visiting chain restaurants. However, I am very glad that we did! The staff are absolutely the most friendly people you could find and the service was quick and prompt. We tried the chicken gyoza first. A nice change from pork and tasted great. We then had Pork Katsudon and the Beef Gyudon. My Katsudon was one of the nicest I have had in a long time. A great mix of sauce and meat and egg. Just the perfect amount of each on top of the rice. The Gyudon was just as delicious! The beer and cider went down lovely with the meals on the hot day. It is well worth a try.
Great place for a date or a group, love the energy of the staff and decor. Food is delicious and they have a good selection of Japanese alcohol at the bar, only complaint is the cost of the meal. For two people expect to pay minimum $40-50. Highly recommend the tempura eggplant, chicken katsu curry and duck gyoza.
Just to be clear - staff are not Japanese! I'm usually weary of this, however whilst the food isn't anything groundbreaking by Japanese standards, I've been a few times now and the same decent standard of food is presented each time. Everything is quite salty so ask for water (or beer!) but aburi tofu and tempura batter is done well, pork belly is well marinated and gyoza is cooked well (crisp on one side only 👌). Happy hour before 6pm gets you free chicken wings, a definite bonus!
Lots of fun and good food to be had here. More than just beer and dumplings - lots of interesting sides too. Great service so we treat it like Japanese tapas and just keep ordering until are our hunger and thirst are sated. The dumplings of course are great but try the tebasaki wings and pork belly too. Delicious!
Really great night with friends. Recommend you go as a group so you can share and taste a bit of everything. Good variety of drinks, staff very helpful.
Pork Belly is really good!!! Salted caramel dessert is toooo tasty to be true. and NICE service. Good place for family and friends gathering. LOVE the music so much which brings me to Harajuku.
Very quick service, duck dumpling is the best.Interesting and cozy ambiance.
We tried the grilled eggplant, it is delicious but too oily. Not a healthy choice.
We have tried the dessert dumpling too, it is a bit strange to me, but surprisingly tasty. Don(Rice dish) isnt too good, that is like something they would serve in 7-11 in Japan, however II will come back for the duck dumpling.
Why it has taken me so long to get to Harajuku Gyoza is beyond me - I love japanese food, particularly gyoza. Perhaps because hubby isn't the biggest fan of all things japanese and dumpling. Anyway he was out of town, so I told the "uni students" I would shout them dinner and this place was my choice.
We didn't book, but managed to snag a table inside early on Saturday evening. The menu is small, but well rounded. We started out with some edamame - I love edamame big time and these were really good - washed down with a couple of Japanese ciders. Then we shared duck gyoza, veggie gyoza and pork gyoza. All were delicious - but ohhhhh the duck - I adore duck, so these were just fantastic. All of the gyoza were generous in filling (and we had ours grilled) and just delicious, but the duck ones alone will have me back there.
We also shared the agadeshi tofu and chicken kaarage (is that how you spell it - let alone pronounce it?). Again just delicious - I had not previously had agadeshi tofu but our veggie insisted I try some and it was damn good. The chicken - mmmmmm - who can go past fried chicken.
There was also no way I was going past desert - although I'm not usually a desert person - but who could say no to salted caramel and peanut butter and white chocolate gyoza? Not us ... the salted caramel was nice, but the PB was ridiculously good, I could have had another serve of those all to myself.
Anyway loved the place, loved the food, loved the atmosphere (so friendly) and I will be back for sure - quite a bit actually I imagine.
I've visited a few times now and each time has always been great.
The gyoza are delicious. I love the duck and the pork. I visited late last month with a friend who had the nutella and banana dessert gyoza and she loved them.
Service is good, the place is nice and cosy with lots of little cute touches.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
It was a cold dreary day and well who really needs an excuse to enjoy gyoza and beer! So we headed up to Harajuku Gyoza which is located in the Station Road precinct. The menu is divided into three parts, it is simple and easy to read which is a nice change from places catering for absolutely everything! We decided to keep it simple and skipped the mains and shared a few small dishes....
Great food and service. Went for lunch and was super surprised by the value lunch meal. Loved everything we ordered and the Japanese plates on the wall. If it wasn't for the gyoza I wouldn't tolerate the noise. This venue is crazy loud and I can only imagine what the dinner crowd is like
SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!. Another hit can't wait for the next one!
Service very friendly. Food good but not great when it comes to value for money. Will come back but not as a regular.
Fantastic food not to mention super friendly staff
Had great experience
Definitely recommend
Great place for a fun dinner with friends. Went here the other night with a group of friends. We had to wait for 10mins for a table of 6 to open up which wasn't too bad at all. The restaurant has good lighting and an interesting wall of plates for decor (as shown in photos). Once in we ordered a variety of dishes off the menu, pork,prawn,chicken, duck gyoza, a curry, tempura egg plant and some tofu. I'm not a fan of tofu so that didn't really appeal to me but everything else food wise was wonderful and cheap. Had to order another order of the tempura eggplant as it was that delicious. We ordered Sake which was delivered with shouting and fun faire by the wait staff however the Umeshu I ordered (plum wine) tasted watered down which was a pity. Definitely will come here again, but for dinner its not really a place for a a romantic date as its noisy and a bit crazy - but as a group its a lot of fun.
Delicious Gyoza. Good price ~$8 for 6. Lots of screaming and excitement when the sake arrives. Fun atmosphere.
Usually have to wait for a seat.
Busy. Loud. Fun. Fast. Satisfying. Remiscent of Japan. See you next time.
They've done it again - Amazing atmosphere, great food and super friendly staff. Brisbane is getting trendier by the day with places like Harajuku Gyoza popping up. The eggplant and duck gyoza were the highlights for me!
Yum yum yum yum and more yum. Finally a restaurant that is fun. My little girl loved it and can't stop talking about it.
Great friendly staff who love kids.
Now my little girl wants dumplings every night for dinner.
Harajuku was so much fun! Food was amazing, the staff were great.
Now that Indooroopilly shopping center has been fully refurbished, there are now a number of new Restaurants to choose from on the Station Road side. Modern Italian and Spanish are there to choose from, but we chose Harajuku Gyoza, a Japanese restaurant. Gyoza are little dumplings filled most commonly with pork, but in this restaurant it also takes the form of chicken, duck, pork and vegetables.
Marc and I had a great time at Harajuku Gyoza. The pork gyoza was my favourite and I loved the eggplant tempura. It was so much fun having our large tankards of beer and bite-sized pieces of delicious food. I liked the dining atmosphere and the staff were friendly and efficient.
