Nice and fresh. Some dishes are really small but it works out okay considering the prices. I often get takeaway because it’s busy at night. During the day is usually quiet.
This place is really great for sushi! Everything is made fresh. Udon noodles and agadashi tofu are yum also! It can get busy but staff are attentive and organised so waiting is ok. Always try to stop in here when I'm in Indooroopilly : )
The sushi here is the best I've tasted so far. The aburi salmon just melts in your mouth and has a very pleasant taste. However, I would only eat here on Tuesdays because they have specials that day because it is quite pricey on other days.
My first sushi train experience with my friend as I was visiting Brisbane. Really enjoyed it. Loved the concept of see it go by and pick it up or if you don't see it, order and they make it for you in a flash. I enjoyed a few plates of the Edamame beans which were nice, pork gyoza and also agedashi tofu which was tasty also. We stopped here just for a quick bite to eat and it was fast and tasty. All the food that came around on the train looked fresh and yum. Grabbed a bag of the dark choc coated roasted edamame beans also on the way out, that is one tasty concoction. Hope to return again when I'm next in Qld.
The best sushi train!!! Wednesday night are exceptionally busy for some reason and you'll have to wait in a pretty long line but at least you know the food will always be fresh! And it is.. It's very popular and I just love it
My girlfriend and I practically go to sushi train at least once a week. I think it's really convenient and not that expensive. The staffs are really friendly, chefs are fast at making sushi. However, I wouldn't really recommend the salmon sashimi, I don't think it's that fresh. I also wouldn't recommend going on a Friday night, it's always packed with customers.
I've been to quite a few sushi trains in the Brisbane area, and this shop in Indooroopilly is by far the best. An excellent variety of plates are available at a decent price. The freshness of the food here is obvious... I can never have enough of their salmon! Often there are new experimental dishes by the chefs as well, and in turn a diner is encouraged to experiment in a place such as this. What is life without trying new delights!
Be aware that this place does get quite busy during peak times around dinner, and a queue does form for patrons waiting to be seated. Longest line I have counted there so far is 27, but we all wait, because we know full well that the wait is worth it :)
This is my favourite place to go for sushi! It is a little bit on the pricey side but I always have a good feed when I go here. The only down side is you can't make a booking so on a busy night you have to wait in line for about 5-10 minutes before they can seat you.
Staff are very friendly and treat their customers with high respect.
I go here with friends on a fairly regular basis and have never been disappointed.
Amazing sushi! Always fresh. Very popular so that's always a good sign. Most staff are very friendly, except for the older man wearing glasses who usually charges you at the counter. He could smile once in a while!
Easily one of the best Sushi Train restaurants in the area. Fresh ingredients, lots of variety, and a constant turnover of customers are all good signs. I love all the special, additional dishes they offer, such as Mini Donbuki and Edamame. Ordered the tuna and squid nigiri fresh tonight and they were excellent. Green tea is only $1 with free refills as well! If not anything else, this establishment is consistent in quality and service. As with all of the franchises, it was affordable as well.
This is by far one of my favourite sushi places to go within the "sushi train" franchise or any cheap sushi place. I know this may not be a high end sushi experience but every time I've been (over 20 visits) I've been greeted by friendly staff, eaten great tasting sushi, never waited an unreasonable amount of time, paid a balanced price and enjoyed my visit. What more can I ask for.
By far the best sushi place I've ever been to. I travel from ipswich because I love it that much.
Great value and authentic Japanese hospitality. The place is always busy with a long line everytime I visited during weekends - lunch or dinner. To me it is the best sushi joint around UQ. The food portion is generous, and the sushi chefs work like a well-oiled machine. Most if not all staff are Japanese - the Japanese hospitality is fantastic! Quick changeover of plates on the train is a big plus - since it's always so busy! The chicken avocado rolls are very popular, but I really love the unagi (eel) and the torched salmon. The torched charsiu pork is amazing as well. The consistency in terms of food portioning and service remains desirable across all Sushi Train franchises. Compared to other Sushi Trains that I have been around Brisbane, this Sushi Train is one of the best - if not the best.
Deluxe sashimi is very fresh and definitely worth the price. Staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Cool place. Always back for aburi wagyu and hotatae. lobster salad ship is great as well.love their own sushi cola too.
The best Sushi Train by far
Best Sushi!. This has to be one of, if not the best sushi train I've been to in Brisbane. It is always jam packed, especially around lunch time, but you get a seat fairly quickly.
The sushi is always chilled and fresh and the service is polite and fast.
Best sushi is the hot and spicy beef (it has this mayonaisse type stuff on top that is to die for). YUM!
Definitely recommend.
Always so fresh and delicious ! Fave sushi!
Love this place. Have been a regular visitor for the last 2 ye.ars. Staff are friendly and efficient, food is superb and reasonably priced. H.ighly recommend
Very busy/great sushi. Always great sushi and always very busy. Usually a bit of wait for a table but its no wonder why with the delicious sushi they make.
This is the best sushi train I've been to in Brisbane. The sushi is always great, fresh and plentiful. Lots of variety and some unusual items to try. We go here regularly and always have a great meal.
Extremely busy with extended wait times during peak periods. Sushi is very tasty and staff are attentive.
Best Sushi Train Around. We have been going here for years, and it's consistently excellent and reasonably priced. The same quality as some of the more expensive fine-dining sushi options in Brisbane. Unfortunately lots of people know this so usually you have to queue before being seated at peak times, but that also means that the sushi is always fresh! The staff are always friendly even though they are very busy. One of our favourite places.
Best sushi train. They have a large turn over, so the food is always fresh. Love the seared options. And you can't have their soup udon anywhere else.
This place never disappoints! Delicious sushi and pretty good service :) overall it's always a nice dining experience coming here!
Consistant and Friendly, but... It's a Sushi Train, so consistant every time and yes very predictable in choices. However prices went up last year and portions sizes went down. Chicken Katsu slices have got thinner and thinner over the last couple of years....so they are doing the same as packaged food manufacturers and making the portions smaller and not changing the prices. Value for money is falling. Two people - 5 plates, 2 green teas = $26-27! Not a cheap lunch.
Really good place to eat japanese food. Salmon always fresh, place is very clean.
Def my fav sushi in Brisbane. Agree with the majority, this is my favourite sushi in Brisbane. So fresh & amazing it's making my mouth water writing about it!!
Sushi - yummm. After reading and hearing good reviews about the Indro Sushi Train, my teenage son and I decided to give it a go on Friday night. We knew it would be busy and went early (6pm) only to find there was already quite a queue, but we weren't in a hurry and the wait ended up being about 15 minutes - most acceptable. It was great to see the place buzzing with so many people - always good to have that sort of atmosphere.
The sushi was great - plenty to chose from on the train itself and it was replenished very quickly with a good variety of things to chose from. You could also order from the menu, but with so much choice on the train we didn't bother. I was very happy to see edmame on the train - I notice more sushi trains are starting to add this to the standard fare - and as I am addicted to edmame, that makes me very happy. I also considered ordering the sashimi, but after a few plates of sushi decided I didn't have room.
Very impressed and we will return soon.
Great sushi train in Indooroopilly!. This is a great sushi train around the Indooroopilly area if you are not in the mood for traveling too far.
We came on a Friday night and was seated within 20 minutes . This place has a really good waiting system but from what I saw it works out in favor for couples. Big groups will be waiting for a while until a seats become available (or if you are lucky to get the dining booths). The line builds up very quickly here so you might wanna try to get in a bit early.
Sushi was freshly made and delicious! Lobster rolls were average. Tuna rolls were very tasty. There was just enough rice on each sushi so that you weren't just eating a block of rice. All dishes were very cheap and well priced for what they are. Walked out feeling very full and satisfied!
Out of all Sushi Trains we have been to (and we are always out sushi-ing) this is by far the favorite! We moved house but still drive all the way to Indooroopilly to eat there! Recommended!
Freshest sushi!. Absolutely wonderful sushi, I haven't had any quite so delicious before, and the staff were friendly and ready to help us whenever we needed it. Fantastic!
Addicted much?. Yeah, pretty much addicted to this place. The food is fresh, staff are very friendly and there is lots of different items to choose from on the menu.
Best sushi!. Best sushi in QLD. always fresh, great service and reasonably priced.
Indooroopilly Sushi Train has a real buzz going. It is kid friendly, and kids love watching the action as the sushi is prepared. While the sushi dishes aren't always ultra traditional, the mix suits the mix of clientele. We eat here often.
Brisbane Best Sushi. Being new to sushi, I have tried quite a few and stumbled into this one by fluke. We took the wrong turn and decided to go to this one instead. I was very reluctant but I am very glad my hubby insisted. It is absolutely great! We go quite often (up to twice a week) and although the queue for seating is long, the line moves quick and the food is worth the wait. The selection is vast and has plates to suit all palates. My hubby's favorites - the grilled wagyu, salmon & scallop and tuna sushimi. Our son's favorite the inari. Mine is the avocado chicken (and I used to hate avocado) and the agedashi tofu. And we all love the spicy chicken karaage. Will never tire of this place.
They are all correct - this is a great place!. The best sushi we have found in Brisbane. A happy place - always busy, but the wait is never long.
Great value, fresh food, excellent staff. Love it!
Best sushi in Brisbane. I really love this place. I come here frequently and it seems half of the western suburbs does too because this place is always really packed. There is usually a line but it is worth the wait. The staff are all Japanese and greet you cheerfully saying "Welcome" in Japanese. The food is superb and generously priced and they have specials regularly.
Best sushi in Brissy by FAR!. The first time I tried Sushi Train, I wasn't expecting such lovely service, helpful and kind staff!
The food was also impeccable. It made me say to myself "I will never be able to go back to normal sushi bars."
Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. What was meant to be cold, was. What was meant to be piping hot, was!
A lovely atmosphere, gorgeous food that I felt deliriously happy paying for.
Get there early, before it opens to get a good seat!
Fantastic sushi. I love this place! it is ridiculously busy but that is because it is so good!
Fantastic! My favourite sushi place :) great food, great service, great price! Can't recommend enough.
I'm addicted. Consistently fantastic service, fresh food and one dish I couldn't recommend enough - Aburi Salmon. It will melt in your mouth.
We really enjoy dining here. The food is delicious and fresh. The beers are ice cold and go well with the meals. The staff are friendly. The wait time from ordering via the app to receiving your dish is only around 5 to minutes.
This place is quite popular and there is usually a long line up at times from 5pm to 7pm. We don't mind the wait as we've always had a great time here. Wish we had taken better pictures but it looked too delicious and we were hungry.
Great sushi. Always fresh. A family favourite for dinner. It does tend to get very busy so it's a good idea to come early. Otherwise there can be a wait but definitely worth it. Kewpie, ginger and wasabi are all complimentary. Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend
Arrived 20 minutes before they closed and staff was still so friendly and helpful as it was our first time dining in. Delicious food and clean restaurant!
Really good visit. Fresh tasting sushi, orders were pretty quick, service was good and store was clean and tidy.
Fantastic sushi with affordable price. Attentive and lovely staffs!
