Review Panorama Cafe - Indooroopilly

Stephen Shepherd
An aptly named cafe with panoramic views across Indooroopilly, and all deserving of one of my rare 5 stars. It's located in a quieter area of the shipping centre, very near the children's play area (don't worry, you can't hear the little darlings!). Plenty of seating, a contemporary and tastefully designed decor and good service means we'll be back; this is now out go-to cafe for this centre.

Delicious food and good coffee. Always a good experience here at Panorama. My partner and I used to come here for at least once a week when they were still located in Indooroopilly Mall. May I know where your new location is? I am craving the Carbonara and Club Sandwich.

Quiet and spacious. Apple pie is wonderful.

Coffee was quick, the milkshake was perfect and the service team were friendly. Basically they are the best cafe I've been to in a long time because they serviced us with a smile. Thank you. See you soon.

View is nice. But a little warm by the window. Had Eggs Benedict with bacon. I enjoyed it but would have to say the sauce needed a little more flavor. Worth stopping by if you are at Indooripilly shopping. Update : second visit and everything was great. My daughter had the pancakes and said they were one of the best she has had.

Really like this place. The staff are super-friendly, food is really yummy and well priced. The john dory dish is to die for and it doesn't hurt that they make great coffee. Nice quiet spot - I like that it's out of the way from the noisy side of Indro.

Last spoonful of the soup I ordered, this waitstaff took my empty bowl straightaway; after 2 minutes she asked me to leave due to 2 people lining up to get in; when there are many empty social distance chairs & tables available. Rude lady!

My daughter and I went to Panorama Cafe Indooroopilly for lunch today. Very disappointed with the grumpy man who took our order. Our turkey and cranberry sandwiches looked like processed turkey with a small piece of breast. Cranberry was just a small dab in the middle of the bread. At $10.50 each sandwich I would expect a decent amount of filling.

It has been 6 months since our last visit so it is time for an updated review! Phuong Tran’s bright 👀 spots a $10 Cake & Coffee Special. Wonderful! I make a bee-line for the counter and ask for a slice of Orange & Almond cake and a Cappuccino.

Our afternoon tea arrives in several minutes. The Cake is fresh and the coffee is hot and strong, just the ways we like it.

my friend ordered an avo on toast and it looked revolting. It was literally 1 full piece of toast with half an avocado on top that was brown and had the top piece of skin/stork thing attached and also the plate contained two half pieces of toast that served no purpose (had no avocado on top or anything). AND to make matters worse the butter looked like a packet you find in a hotel and was basically melted. IT COST $8.50; I SAY GIVE HER MONEY BACK. We both order coffee that was iced latte with almond milk (cause we are both lactose-free) and when it came out it wasn't stirred together and had the milk on the bottom as a layer and the coffee on top. My coffee personally didn't stir together well and the coffee was bitter anyway. I say do not go there it's overpriced for crap food and drinks but I do believe people already know this cause it was almost empty and those who were there played it safe with a hot drink and in the smallest size cup possible to be served. There was only one feature I liked about the cafe and that the aesthetic. I would have added the service and employees but personally, they scared me and put out a vibe of not wanting to be there serving you so we felt too scared to complain in store. I will never give my business to the cafe again which is unfortunate as the aesthetic would have made an amazing photo.

We’ve been to this cafe several times. I’m surprised we haven’t reviewed it yet. We had coffee here this morning. It’s a relatively nice cafe with a view of outside streets.
I liked my coffee, right texture and tasted good. But the soy cappuccino was somehow sour. Not sure what kind of soy milk they use, it’s very sour and dominates the taste of coffee.

Read Joe K's review on Panorama Cafe in Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and made a point to go try it before meeting with friends to see a movie. Was drawn in by the bright setup with large open spaces that gives off quite a relaxing vibe. As with most cafe style places, food was ordered through counter service. I ordered at the counter and was given a number, before finding seating to await my order.

Update, Nov 18,

Quick bite before returning the kids to the local playground. Very nice interior when you go in and sit down especially at the view. Considering it was 35 outside and it was just a little on the warm side.

Order at counter and receive a table number. It was just a little before midday and was not too busy. But after ordering it started to pick up, was a good sign.

I ordered the club breakfast, wife eggs benny's with salmon and nuggets and chips for the little ones. 3 coffees added.

The meals arrived pretty quickly, with in 10mins of ordering and they looked appealing. Decent food, without all the fancy flowers, micro herbs.

It was just a nice meal which we really enjoyed, coffee was good too. Drinkable and not too hot.

Just a quick stop by after dropping the toddler to the playground, just wanting coffee for that quick pick up.

Nice little place, and they do deliveries to the playground if you need it delivered. Just ordered a normal latte, for a medium size $5 a little steep but needed coffee.

Staff were friendly, coffee was average, not much of a coffee taste, more milky. Temperature was decent, drinkable from the word go.

Might have to try some food next time.

Friendly service, delicious coffee and great value meals! A nice retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre. We will be back!

Excellent service, good food and great coffee!! Definitely better than the other cafes at the shopping centre. The risotto is a must! I will be returning!

Excellent coffee and quick friendly efficient service. It has a pleasant view over the park and very good muffins. Probably the best of all the coffee shops at Indro.

We visited Panorama earlier this week for brunch. We ordered Eggs Benedict and Avocado on Toast, with two cappuccinos. The food was okay, except the hash browns were of the frozen variety. Coffee was better than average. Service was quick, but no ground pepper offered. The cafe was clean and quiet.

During our xmas shopping, we had a 'late lunch' here, you could say. First time here, and certainly not our last. Seating layout is relaxing, with those lovely views, tastefully done. The menu is traditional cafe sandwich/burger fare. The food tasted wonderful, and the portion was comfortably man-sized. The staff that served us were patient and friendly.

Had breakfast here last weekend. Very clean and inviting with nice big windows. Service is friendly and quick. The breakfast we ordered was small for the price but tasty. The coffee was actually hot (a first for us!) Overall a pleasant experience.

I wanted to visit Panorama Cafe as I have been a loyal customer to the owner since he ran Village Aroma in Toowong. I have to disagree with the previous ratings, the girls are friendly and patient. Menus are not difficult to locate, they are displayed at the counter, at the front of the cafe as you walk in (on an A3 poster) and also on every table.
The coffees are always delicious, the meals are consistently excellent quality and fresh, the service is quick and the cafe itself is gorgeous, open and relaxing. Will be returning for my weekend brunch.

Tuesday morning, having a day off at the indooroopilly westfeld with a friend.. Desperately needing a Breakky , then saw this great looking place , a bit like an airport type outlet but still it was inviting, when asked the girls if they had full breakfast , they said yes but never gave us the menu, we looked around and found it by ourselves. They really were not friendly AT ALL, i got a feeling we were an annoyance as we were taking time to decide but was not one in a queue behind us... And still one of the girls had an annoyed face waiting for us to order at the cash register ... Unhappy people should not be in customer service, we did order but felt we should have gone somewhere else , food was ok but we already had a bad taste.. not sure about a second chance..

Food is 7/10. Service 5/10. View 9/10. I came here for around 5 times for breakfast and lunch. I really like the view here although I think they should turn up the air con. Food is good. Food portion is big as well. But I feel like each time I came to this restaurant, I was served by some tired, grumpy staff... I will come back for the view to relax tho. I had Mediterranean grilled vegetable feast on the day.

Eggs Benedict. Absolutely amazing!

Great value. Went here with my sister today, not overly hungry so decided to share a gourmet sandwich. Both had a coffee which was divine, then our sandwich arrived served on separate plates each with chips on the side, so impressed, will definitely be going back!

Friendly staff good coffee but their homemade brownie was dry and bland and not actually a brownie.

Not that great. I had the chicken foccasia for lunch. The chips it came with weren't very nice. They had that old oil taste! The focassia itself needed to be more gourmet for the price you are paying. It was quite basic.
