Still feeling hungry after a bowl of ramen, I walk across the Food Court for some sushi. J-Shinsen is popular because of its great position. I was here 30 minutes earlier and could not get a vacant table.

I order a Miso Soup and help myself to some sushi. My meal is average, not quite the standard of the Sushi Edo franchise. The plates of sushi are priced from $4.50-$6.50 which I consider quite expensive. This sushi train restaurant is clean and waitresses are friendly and helpful.

As a Coeliac, this place is heaven.  Everything that I can eat is clearly marked and the staff are super friendly.  It's a great place considering it's in a shopping centre, not to mention the price being pretty good with the high Indro shopping centre rent prices.  Overall, pretty fresh with a good range and variety.

Pretty sure it's almost at the point that I live here, because I'm there that much. Always have fresh sushi, and a major selection to choose from.

Overall fresh sushi, highly recommend their sear salmon and sear scallop sushi.
Very fresh scallop and reasonable price. Nothing to complain with the price.
Tuesday night is cheapest to go, perfect quick dinner before movie.

How was my Special $3.5 Tuesday?. Got to say, was good & fine, fair enough. Neither excellent nor awful, but really good compared to the $3.5 price.

I quickly grabbed seared scallop & salmon on the train when I was there (my fav), then I tried salmon & avocado rolls (a slice of avocado on a slice of salmon sashimi on rice, almost forgot, drizzle of mayo) but didn't really like because of mayo, too much, too creamy to me that I could barely taste the naturally fresh creaminess of avocado & salmon. The last dish I got was grilled salmon rainbow rolls (grilled salmon although looked like seared salmon, wrapped 3/4 outer side of a roll with egg & crab stick & cucumber, if I'm correct), was a bit amazing, why a bit? It needed to be rolled a bit tighter, the end of sushi wasn't stick tightly so fillings were almost fallen out when I picked up with chopsticks and as I know, sushi supposed to be fit in a-bite, and that was absolutely more than a bite, so hard to enjoy full taste of it. For dessert, I ordered green tea mochi ice cream, to be honest, it was awesome to be, I had been dreaming of eating mochi ice cream for a time. They didn't disappoint me, mochi skin was fairly chewy enough while green tea ice cream, got to tell you, flavorful, you can taste and feel a bit of green tea powder still in there with amazing aroma, differently from Western ice cream, Japanese green tea ice cream isn't as creamy nor sweet, just a hint of sweet enough to make it ice cream with green tea taste & flavor & smell, not like Gelatino in CBD where green tea ice cream is sweeter and creamier and you may barely be able to taste the green tea powder, neither the taste, flavor nor smell. Oh, one more thing, there was raspberry sauce beside, about a teaspoon, I didn't think they are well corporate but anyway, sauce was quite ok, not really sweet so kinda like it.

** I paid around $14 for 4 plates, $3.5 each except black dishes (paid attention, people, small word line beneath the promotion poster or ask them the condition so you won't feel like you are tricked) and $3 for a green tea mochi ice cream. In total, $17.5, fast payment.

It was lunchtime, lots of people came, there were 2 waitress and an owner (I guess), they tried their best to serve customers as quickly as possible. Though sushi train, they did pay attention to each dish, variety dishes were on train and you can order any sushi from the menu if you don't see it on the train, still $3.5 except those are black dish $6.5 which are sashimi.

Gonna come back soon, 4 plates made me full, still want more but it was enough for a lunch, tasty & delicious

A nice alternative to other sushi train style restaurants. The food is good taste and delivered timely by the robot. The staff are friendly and very helpful as well. The whole process is very smooth. Only one thing though that if all the dishes arrive with a clear lid/cover on then then it would be perfect. It's just that the bullet train and the robot tray travel & deliver to each tables before get to your table. The food could be exposed and touched by others along the way, you just don't know how long it's been traveling before get to you. Overall it was a lovely fun experience, we definitely will be back and try something else. Hopefully the food cover is sorted by then :-)

The food at this restaurant is always freshly prepared and very delicious. No matter how busy they get, the food is always excellent and the staff very professional. It's the best Japanese food I have had here in Brisbane, that's why I visited them on a regular basis, despite so many Japanese outlets to choose from in the city. Plus, I love the fact they have a loyalty card system 👏

Loved it! Super yummy, super cute, fun and busy, plenty of options, easy to choose and order, restaurant team were crazy busy but very helpful to keep us updated at the door and get us seated in a booth. Would recommend for the young at heart wanting a fun, tasty meal. Robots and trains and sushi. Recommend.

Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever eaten! The seafood is so fresh - I also had the lychee drink and it was incredible. The robot that delivers the food is adorable and the literal train is a very theatrical touch! 10/10 will be eating here again!
