Review Bamboo House - Ingle Farm

Went there for the first time, bought squid balls & sweet chilli chicken. Both were kebab style so I could eat & shop. The squid balls were underdone & very chewy. The chicken was also underdone, both were thrown away.

expensive, price doggy not on the menu, sticky table, food served warm not hot, considering I had ordered over 25dollars and only accept CASH only without notifying at the first place, need to walk all the way back to atm and get some. To owners, if you just want one-time customers. There you have it, I'm not coming back here again without hesitation by the only chance you get this "big profit" from a single lunch.

Beware. The Filipino man was friendly then gave me food that made me sick. The chicken tasted off. I don't think they store their food properly. The suman was on an uncovered plate on the counter where anyone can touch it and there were flies. This type of food is supposed to be kept in the fridge. The hot food is out all day behind glass that has yellow lights to give the appearance of a warm area but the food isn't warm. Letters are falling off the signs. There are so many local Filipinos who love traditional food and they deserve better. Filipinos talk and they don't stand for this.

You must try the sisig and pancit!! The staff was extremely nice, polite and welcoming. Plenty of Filipino food and desserts to choose from. I'd definitely go back in a heartbeat!

Not really worth the money at all, as there is food on plates that sit there all day and it's very rare to see when they replace the food As the honey chicken isn't like your normal Chinese honey chicken at all, the sweet and sour pork is gross as there is only 2 things I would eat but everything else no thank you

A bit far from my location I come here once in a while. Selection of cooked Filipino food. Love the Dinuguan and Bopis. I would buy lots like cake kakanin and cooked meal and stock up at home.

I can't believe I'm only just reviewing this place. I have been going here for years. This place makes the best Authentic Fillo food I have come across since living with my Fillo family or even since I was in the Philippines. I never feel home sick for my second home as long as this place remains in business. They are a lovely couple who run the place and the treasures you find there can be hard to find anywhere else. If you're new to Fillo food give them a try, if you know Fillo food you will feel right at home. You won't be disappointed here as long as you remember they are a preferred cash only establishment. Please show your love and visit here for a taste of the world you won't find as good anywhere else

A great selection of Filipina dishes as well as the wonder food, Mulungguy, rich in vitamin D, antioxidants and nutrients for bone and cartilage repair. For people like me with osteo-arthritis Mulungguy a must in your diet.

Worst experience. DO NOT GO THERE! The lady that runs the place is rude, lies and will steal from you.

Tried to rip me off by giving me wrong change. Told them they but they denied it and wanted to check cameras. I told them to check. Waited 40min!!! My food went cold and my 7 month baby was getting upset. They didnt check the cameras in the end and gave me the right change. The lady next we me said she was waiting 90min just to pick up her order.

The lady in the counter is very friendly and nice. She look on each customer and making sure they are happy. Food was great. Atmosphere is ok just like in the Philippines.

Let me start with the positive:
- The girl at the counter was very nice and hospitable
- Sisig is sooooo delicious. Highly recommended

Neutral:
- Fried milkfish doesnt taste good (atleast for me) I find it more on thr sour side. For my 2 companion, they like the taste.
- I like the pinakbet. But one of my friend find it too oily. Yes, it was too oily but I didnt really mind lol.

Now for the negative:

- I bought ginataang mais for take away. I went straight home after (it wasnt a long travel) only to realize that the food was spoiled. It ended up in the bin.

- Quite shoddy business. Our friend bought earlier that day and asked if Bamboo House does not accept card. The lady manager/owner* said they do have EFTPOS so my friend paid with his card. Now me and my 2 companion dined the same day and when I gave my card to pay, the girl from the counter said she'll aske the manager first. And then the manager told us they only accept cash. We were a bit confused but I shrugged it off and paid cash. Later on I asked my friend if he actually paid card earlier. He said yes. Very shoddy in my opinion.

- We ordered 3 hot meals, 2 rice, 1 pork skewer and 2 bottled water. Surprises of all surprises we were charged 78 dollars! I remember the pricing and I expected like 50+ dollars. I was quite shocked to even think of questioning them so I just paid. But everytime I do the maths, I still could not believe that what we ordered will cost that much. I pretty much believe that we were overcharged. And based from the other reviews here, I think that's prolly the truth.

Wonderful and very traditional and authentic Filipino food.

If you just buy from the front of counter food, your missing out on the real good Filipino foods. These can be found on the menu board above their counter and needs to be cooked up but just takes about 10 minutes. The flavors are true to the authentic dishes found in Philippines. They have many different dishes available to suit an array of different tastebuds. Ask for a recommendation and I’m sure there will be something that you will like.

Lovely and bubbly staff greet and accommodate you. Try one of their beverages as well, Gulaman sago or Buko Pandan are a few favourites and then dessert to follow!

Pictured here are Brazo be Mercedes, Buko Pandan and ‘Pritong Bangus’ (fried milkfish)

The first time I came here I ordered a regular dinuguan, halo halo and plain white rice and the price somehow ended up $22. The dinuguan wasn't bad but the halo halo wasn't good, and very small for its price. I wasn't sure how the price ended up so high? But I just went with it because the lady seemed so nice.

The second time, I was about to buy a container of beef with black bean sauce for $5 (which wasn't even half full by the way, but I was hungry so I was just going to deal with it), but then the manager (at least I think she's the manager?) offered to sell me another container (the same size as the beef with black bean) of just plain rice for another $5... I didn't really want to buy from someone selling such a small, cheap amount of food for such a large amount so I just said "ah nevermind, I don't think I'll get anything" and the smile just dropped off her face and she lost eye contact with me and didn't say anything else as she put back the container of food I was going to get lol. She must've been mad that I hadn't fallen for her scam.

Overall, the dinuguan and probably the other dishes taste good, but the halo halo doesn't taste good, and the manager lady there will probably try to overcharge you.

Alright let me start with how awful the customer service of this place. The manager was quite rude and so unprofessional!!! The food , oh my lord we've got sick at least 3 times after eating their food!! They may be one of the places that served Filipino dishes but their food were pretty yucky! I've had their chicken Yakitori which was overpriced and average, pork skewers which was overpriced too and so tough that it was almost impossible to devour them. Fried rice was effortless, just steamed rice with few peas and carrots. BBQ pork which was like a week old. Their counter foods were all yucky!!! The vegetables they used were old and cheap!!! And their meat had this bad odour!!. Ugh I have so much to complain about this place. AND WHAT'S WORST OF ALL , THE OLD LADY THERE ALWAYS OVERPRICED YOU AND THEY NEVER GIVE YOUR RECEIPTS!!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Save yourself from stomachaches and stress!!
