Review Dhaba - Innaloo

Just delicious! I read a review of this place which was good so we had to try it based on that recommendation, and we were not disappointed! Took our 2 boys (ages 7 & 10) and they thoroughly enjoyed it too. Being a chef I can be quite fussy with eating out, but this meal was really good. Exactly what we hoped for - delicious, authentic and the service was excellent too. We will definitely be back!

Good food but bad customer service spoiled my evening, wont be going again Hi my baby is 2 year old . And she whole time setting on table our table . Not going others table to disturb them .yes I agree she enjoy her food giggle and make some noise on her table (she play with her uncle and sister on our chair not disturb Any one ) . Is It wrong?what restaurant expect from 2 year old baby shut her mouth and just eat food ? and after that some staff give us advice to your baby is noisy .so we are told her to not talk and don’t play with her sister so she sit with my husband and they not make noise at all (but staff think normal talking with parents also noise ?). And that time only 4 tables are reserved . We went to dinner in many restaurants (included Indian and western cuisine)I never face this type behaviour. This is not baby friendly restaurant (0-3)year .

Highly recommend Dhaba . The food is always fresh and consistent . We have been to Dhaba various times and not once have we been disappointed. Preet is the face of Dhaba . She is amazing . Great customer service ! Keep up the great work Preet - we love the food but the emotional connection she has with her customers is what keeps us coming back .

Our first time trying Dhaba and we'll be back for sure! The food was delicious, very reasonably priced and the service fantastic. We had the butter chicken, Dhaba paneer, rice and garlic naan.

This restaurant has become a new favourite of mine - also you know its good when the majority of the patrons are of South Asian descent. You hit the money. Their Dhaba Chicken is the money. Its legit, tender, delicious goodness. Their Mango lassi also legit. Money. Everything is great here. You won't be disappointed.

We had takeaway on Christmas day from Dhaba. I'd say it's one of the best Indian restaurants in Perth. The food was so tasty, I ended up overeating a bit. They followed instructions and despite being super busy, they gave us fresh food that was full of flavour, well-cooked and definitely didn't feel like vegetables just tossed into a pre-made curry.

This the best Indian restaurant I've eaten at in Perth. The staff remembers who you are, they are always courteous, and the food is not only fantastic but good size portions.

Lovely service and staff. The menu was great and the food even better. Great place and a must visit thank you Dhaba 💚💚

This place has actually closed in the Scarborough location and moved to Innaloo.
The foods great and still my favourite curry in Perth - the onion Bhajis are amazing as is the Korma, madras and Roga Josh.
Only complaint would be the wine list - its terrible!!!
Pig Chunks
Pretty f-ing good. Very traditional style. Food was good service was also. Only reason its not getting a 5 is coz i have had better. But still worth a try

Friendly and prompt service 👌
The lamb fireballs starter is a favourite, it wasn't bad but I dont like the texture as it almost taste like processed meat also a little hefty in $$.The Palak Paneer was great and didnt skimp with the cheese and the chicken curry was equally good. Will I be back ?... probably cant see why not.

We went to this restaurant in Innaloo with very high hopes to find good food, excellent service and reasonable cost. The service fair not excellent and the food was fairly good. The worst part was that we were charged $2.50 for a single chopped green chili and the staff did not adjust the amount even after requesting the manager. To our knowledge in Perth no other restaurant charges this much money for giving a single small chopped green chili. It was not palatable for us . We were also told before hand that we will be charged . However, it was listed on the menu. So next time please ask for a chili with this prize in mind. The portions were not generous and tape water was only served once. Although , we did not ask for a second jug of water but the staff should have looked in to it without asking.

Decent enough meal that was well priced, their curry just isn't quite to my taste and nor is their naan. The naan tastes a little like a pancake and I prefer a more savoury flavour. Nothing serious to complain about.

Wrost resturant experience. Wrost experience of my life in any resturant of world. Went there with my wife to taste some aalu parathas in dinner. Waitress took the order of about $20 and after waiting of about 10 mins, she came back and told us that we cannot dine in on this order. We will have to pay $40 extra on the order to dine in.. WTF was that??????????????? Could'nt understand their logic and came back without having anything.
I normally don't write reviews but their strange logic and behaviour forced me to do so... I am giving 1 star because there is no lesser than that... Strongly NOT recomended

Great food, especially for those with allergies!. I've always found it difficult to eat out at restaurants. With coeliacs disease, lactose intolerance, and other dietary requirements, it was refreshing to eat at a place who not only asked questions to make sure nothing was contaminated, but made me an entirely separate dish off of the menu to avoid using a pan that had been used to cook something I was allergic to! I would 100% recommend the Dhaba to anyone with allergies who enjoys fantastic Indian food, as I ensure you can eat worry-free of contamination!

-----18 Feb, 2015-----

Great food, especially for those with allergies!. What local find!. Our friends joined us for dinner here last week and it was fantastic.
I enjoyed the cottage cheese entree but the Dhaba chicken and Korma curry were a total standout. Is great to find such a good local restaurant and I'm looking forward to going back very soon. Highly recommend.

Deliciousness!!. Just enjoyed a delicious evening here and highly recommend the Dhaba Chicken and Nan bread. Lovely service too.

Great!. I don't treat myself to Dhaba that often but over the last three years when I have its been exceptional, I have only ever had takeaway.

Highly recommend, try the Dhaba Chicken great balance of spices and flavors.

Best in Perth. Went here for a meal with family, every dish we ordered was superb highly recommended

Frozen vegies. Had takeaway the other night and while the curry was nice it was very obvious that the vegetables used in the Korma were from a frozen packet. This was really quite disappointing.

Entertainment book visit - Worth it.. Very friendly, polite staff.
Interior o.k, nothing special.
Tables set up and cleared professionally.
Service good.
Food better!
Enjoyed the onion bhaji's, and their Dhaba chicken curry was awesome.
Friend had rogan josh and loved it.
Naan bread was a little to crisp but still nice.
Wayne_mcfc
Awful. One of the worst curries I've had since arriving in Perth a couple of years ago. I kept quiet hoping it was just the curry I had chose and that my wife and daughters were ok but it was soon obvious none of us liked it and we had all ordered different dishes. Maybe this is authentic Indian food and our palate is used to the Uk style Indian but for the first time I can remember we all left our meals and called into Nandos on the way home!
Marion
We tried this one as the reviews were really good and price range seemed ok for mains. The food was very tasty and good however prices are higher than expected. Yes the range for mains is correctly listed here but add $5 for the plain rice or even $10 for the special one as nobody is eating a main without a side. The food was excellent but still overpriced for a main veggie curry meal where you can see the veggies were the simple frozen range.

Best Indian takeaway in a long time. Since the Indian takeaway in Calais Road closed down we have not been able to find good Indian food but last night we bought from Dhaba in Scarborough and it was really, really good. The Goan Fish Curry was the stand-out and all very well priced. We will be regulars.

Excellent Food but the Restaurant Establishment Completely Lacks Ambience and a fun Dining Experience. I have eaten here a few times and each time i have eaten the food has been fantastic and this is coming from a fussy Indian bloke who has tried many Indian restaurants in Perth.

The curries are rich in flavour and one of the key things that i admire is that you can tell all the meats have been pre-cooked in a tandoor oven or cooked over a charcoal flame prior to adding them into the respective curries, As a result this results in meat (or paneer) that is very tender, juicy and has a smokey flavour. A lot of restaurants take shortcuts and fail to tandoor their meats prior and as a result you get tough chewy flavourless meat, particularly lamb cuts.

I have often found that many Indian restaurants cut costs and use cheap cuts of meat which i often find chewy but Dhaba appear to be using decent cuts of meat.

My only disappointment with the place is the restaurant building itself, i find it very dull, lacks ambience, atmosphere, does not look like an Indian restaurant and the toilets are in need of a renovation. There have been a number of family birthdays/functions that i would have opted to have at Dhaba due to the great food, however have gone elsewhere simply due to the lack of atmosphere, because a nice ambient and cosy restaurant most certainly adds to the dining experience. Went to Bollywood Bar instead where it felt like a special place to have a party. If the owners invest some money in renovations, this could be the talk of the town and it’s not far from wealthy suburbs like city beach, this place could be a local for many! Mind you the surrounding accommodation village also makes it look dull....may wish to grab the chefs and relocate as your food is certainly worthy of a finer establishment, may i suggest pillars, statues , chandeliers , a really nice cocktail bar area (i think i might have to open one)

-----14 May, 2014-----

Excellent Food but Lacks Ambience. Worst food ever eat in Perth. Veggies in curry was raw and did mention to manager. no apology no regret from managmant !!!!!!!

I've been going to dhaba at least once a week for years! I cannot eat Indian food anywhere else! The food is amazing especially the paneer tika masala. The service is even better. I cannot fault a thing!

Absolutely amazing! I went.... Absolutely amazing!
I went there for dinner last night with my partner. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. The highlight was their palak paneer - the best I've ever tasted.
Even my Indian partner remarked that the food was very authentic and spicy.

Absolutely superb. Possibly one of the nicest Vindaloo's I have had. Lovely atmosphere and staff were very polite. Destined to become my new favourite curry haunt in Perth.

Best Indian in Perth. My husband and I have dined at Dhaba on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed with the amazing food and first class service. The meals are so rich in flavour and are a generous size. The waitress who waited on our table last night was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The seating is so comfortable and the only very minor negative would be that the old Hippo Creek Hut should probably go to make the surroundings more in tune with the food. I would give the restaurant a 100% rating and always look forward to returning.
Caroleabartlett
Disappointing. We were expecting this meal to be "something special" from other reviews but it was at best average. Entrees had no accompanying raita and we had to ask twice for the popadoms which came overcooked and then we had to ask for mint dressing, of which there was very little. We asked for the jalfezi to be mild - medium and it was still way too hot. The other curries and naan were ok. Will be trying somewhere else next time.

Simply Awesome!. Fantastic food, authentic taste, courteous staff, good ambience. Till today we were the fans of only Bollywood restaurant in Perth, today we add another one in our favorites . Highly recommended.

Never disappoints, curry is always tasty and service friendly. If you like it spicy the prawn jalfrezie is divine! Favourite restaurant in Perth!

Best Indian food in Perth. We just had dinner here. We had the Malai mushrooms and prawn tandoor for entree, and then Kadai chicken and lamb Rara for main. the food was absolutely delicious - the best Indian I have had in Perth. The garlic naan was the best I have eaten. The service was very friendly and efficient, and they had a good wine list. I would certainly eat here again and recommend the restaurant to others.

Great food... Had take away food twice now (from Scarborough restaurant) and both times it was great. Fresh, flavoursome and spicy!! A real find for us locals.......we will be regulars!!

Super food! Really good service. Highly recommend 'Dhaba Chicken'.. It was the yummiest. Have come here often and never disappointed. Best in Perth!

Recommended... Three of us (one out-of -owner and two-out -of-area) took a chance on Dhaba last week, relying on Urbanspoon recommendations. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. One of my friends was distracted by the television and asked that be turned off or the volume turned down - unfortunately and inexplicably that wasn't possible. We changed seats and managed the issue ourselves. What made up for this, though, was the generosity and willingness of a staff member to wait by the side of the road after the restaurant had closed to return a gift to us that had been inadvertently left behind by one of our party. Thank you for going above and beyond the requirement of your job description.
Lia
Worst Indian food. what happened urbanspoon? I wanted to like this local. instead of crispy onion rings, a doughy mess. canned mushrooms, really? tough lamb and 4 dry potatoes that seemed to come from a dish a couple of days ago tossed in a tomato sauce for $18. not coming back, not recommending, ruined my babysat evening.

Amazing!! The best I've had... EVER!!

Great Food and Service. Went tonight after thinking about going here for quite a while. Should have gone much sooner. Menu was quite extensive with some more unusual offerings. The food was delicious, the service was efficient and friendly. If you like Indian food - go! Décor is a little bit quirky (this used to be an African restaurant) but comfortable and pleasant. It's the food that was a standout.
Zedbee
Lucky us. Spotted this restaurant on West Coast Highway so we though to give it a go as a mid week cant be bothered cooking place to go. So last night we went expecting your typical Indian food and were blown away.

YUM! We had Tandoori Squid for an entrée (good start), then the mains came out and wow! Palak Paneer was so creamy and delicious, the lamb biryani was very tasty with the meat tender (not like some places where the meat is cheap) and the portion enough to feed 4 people easily, and the Tawa Prawns had 6 king prawns in a spicy sauce which was nice to dip the yummy garlic nan bread in. Well we could not finish the meal, there was too much (easily feed 4) so without hesitation they willingly bagged our leftovers.

The service was fine and we noted the head waiter was very insistent on detail with the other waiters. They were courteous and willing and the food came out promptly, but all of this good service was on a Wednesday night, so I don't know what its like when busy. Also the drinks list was reasonably priced and the Mango Lassi was superb. I suspect the rest of the large menu of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods would be as good, we will have to try them. They have a takeaway menu which I think maybe cheaper than eating in (Friday night take-away on the way home from work, oh yeah) because the same dishes seem to be $14 less than what we paid (maybe I got ripped off?).

Oh and one more thing we noticed, every group of people that came in were Indian and were not the same groups but separate families. That says it all!

The negatives; parking is a problem directly outside and people did park there but there are signs that say not too. But there is parking neat the shopping centre which was a 2 min walk (was very cold last night). Also the décor may not be to everyone's liking, but it was clean and fine (ever had Indian in Singapore or Malaysia, they do not concentrate on Décor and we love that).

Sorry I'm going on and on, but it was really good food and we feel very Lucky to have another great restaurant near us (Karrinyup).

One note to the restaurant owners, any chance of doing a fish head curry?
Little Birdie
Quirky but good. I wasn't quite sure what to make of Dhaba at first...It's set in the foyer of a 'resort' in Scarborough and it's extensive glass walls overlook a lagoon, with Bollywood films playing on the screen at the back of the room.
Think India meets Scarborough and you kinda get the picture.
Three of us shared various vegetarian dishes which were all super tasty.
The garlic naan was superb and the wine list is decent and really reasonably priced... wine for $6 and $7 a glass - pretty amazing.
The service could be improved but on the whole, well worth a visit.
For the record, taking our leftovers home wasn't a problem.
Cyclone X
Not the best service but food are okay.. The food were okay, not bad at all but I would give it a thumb down for the price and the service they provided.

Ordered a banquet and had some leftovers that we would loved to takeaway and not wasting it. However the manager refused to let us take our food away because it is the 'policy' of the restaurant not to allow takeaway for banquet leftovers. They would rather throw the food away than to let us bring home.
The Foodie
One of the best. I am a fan of north Indian food and found Dhaba Scarborough to be one of the best. It serves quality basmati rice unlike some others. The service is excellent and the setting quiet and pleasant. Excellent presentation of dishes. This is a must try if you want good food and a pleasant night out in Scarborough.
Sherry
Lovely meal. Another lovely meal. Service above average (for Perth) - food really yummy. 3rd visit will go again.

What can I say, but Dhaba is without doubt the best Indian in Perth. Eaten in restaurant twice and last night first time got takeaway. Outstanding. The flavours are a party in ur mouth and generous serves with plenty of meat and sauce, the perfect balance, unlike a lot of places where ur lucky to find a couple of pieces of meat in amongst all that sauce. Friendly staff and owners, can't wait for next meal there.
Amit Sethi
I have had food here before and ituse to be really good but today it almost made me throw up the chicken was oily enough to make may be 3 more dishes out of it
Quokkas
One of the good Indian restraunts in Perth. Have been to Dhaba before (both dine in and take away) and have really enjoyed the food. Today was no exception. Chose to dine in today. Staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. There are quite a few Indian restraunts in Scarborough and Innaloo area, but Dhaba is one that provides very tasty food and at a reasonable price compared to other establishments.

Great. Delicious Indian food, and very generous servings. We will be back for sure.
Believeinyourself
Top notch Indian food. The service was excellent, waiters attentive and the chef came out to speak to me about food allergies and what they can offer. I thoroughly enjoyed the place, the onion Bhaja was awesome, all the food is prepared quickly and tastes delicious!

Great Night. Really enjoyed every mouthfull of food and the nicest Indian meal I have had for a while, also nice to see a licenced restaraunt selling a bottle of wine for only $15 will be back and soon I hope!
RustySpoon
Probably the most authentic Indian in Perth. Went there on the recommendation of an Indian friend. My wife and I are both vegetarian. This is a review of the East Perth restaurant.

We arrived late for our reservation on a Wednesday evening, the place was two thirds full, they had held the reservation and seated up at a nice window table.

The restaurant is relatively new and it appears that it was a cafe beforehand and Dhaba haven't done a fit-out of the space before opening for business. Hence it has a large flat screen TV on the wall (which I found distracting), you can see straight into the kitchen - some people see this as a negative - and it is far too bright in there. They could easily turn the flouro lights off and use lamps to increase the ambiance of the place dramatically. Oh and switch the tellie off too and play some music instead.

Now for the food. It is brilliant. Yes it is a little more pricey than some, but the serves are generous and the head chef also comes out and will give you finer details on menu items as well as bringing dishes to the table himself if the waitress is busy.

If, like me, you find the vast majority of Perth Indian restaurants boring and lacking flavour then this place will amaze you.

We brought our own wine with us which we were charged $5 corkage for. They supplied an ice bucket with ice and water in it so it kept our bottle of SSB lovely and cool. They also used cloth napkins - which never fails to impress me. On the subject of alcohol, they had an excellent selection of wines and a great selection of beers too - including Tusker which is a Kenyan beer and Cobra from the UK.

Now for the food....

We started with the onion bhajia, it was beautifully presented, with a tamarind sauce on top of each piece and a mint chutney on the side. They have pureed the onion and potatoes so that it is lovely and fluffy and well worth the $11 price tag as this was easily superior to the roughly chopped onions coated in a watery batter that normally passes for onion bhajia at most Indian restaurants.

We also shared the Chilly Paneer too. I would say that my wife and I both like spicy food but we did order the Raita on the side - it's a very generous serve by the way - and I would recommend that you do the same and have your wine glass full. If you can handle a spicy dish then this walks the line between spicy and flavour very well. If is delicious and yet still has plenty of kick from the spice - high recommend you try this entree.

For a main we shared the Aloo Dum Kasmiri. This was well presented in a copper bowl and is an amazing dish. The dumplings are lovely and light and fluffy and not heavy at all. The sauce was thick, creamy and tangy. We ordered the Vegetable Pulao on the side as well as a Garlic Naan and a Tandoori Roti - the breads and rice was all fantastic.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. If it can address the ambiance issues then I think it could become a true hidden gem in East Perth.

Strange from outside. Decor a little odd but we enjoyed the good food and very friendly service. Also family friendly. We will be back

Closest to authentic Indian in Perth. Run by the folks that previously owned Anghiti. Ordered naan, mixed platter, Dhaba chicken, prawn jalfreezi & rice. Yum yum! Great parking too.

Service might be backpacker but the food is definitely India. Amazing, surpassed all expectations. Live, eat and breathe Scarbs and love the eclectic urbanite suburbia it brings but have no end of trouble finding good, non-touristy food. This place looks nothing from the outside in fact had seen it so many times but was put off until we really really needed Indian and wow did we giet it. Food was authentic and so so good. Great prices, substantially cheaper than similiar places in towards the city. Drinks very reasonable (beer and wine starting at $6) Service was efficient, pleasant and multi-cultural.
Trevis
Hmm, been a couple of times and the food is good. But - this time we waited an hour for our food. The waiter then came and told us our order was too big for our group and we should make it smaller... Why they brought this up one hour after we had ordered is somewhat suspicious, one would have thought it was already cooked by then. Unimpressed.

Am I missing something?. Went there before we go to Burswood for the show. The staff were busy chatting amongst themselves and was difficult to get their attention. We were early and we were the only customers. Then we heard some subtle noise. We looked around. The shop has a leaking ceiling and big pot plants were strategically placed where water drops fall there. As they drop and lands on leaves it made that noise. Once we knew about that it didn't bother us. Then my supposedly spicy vegetarian curry came. My companion's curry were pretty normal they said but mine was not spicy and was so dry. In fact, it hardly had any curry sauce in it. Kulfi dessert we like so much was not what we often have in other shops.

So all in all, we did not enjoy it but many others say that they did. Maybe I am missing something?!?!

Great find. I do find dining out in Scarborough a bit of a challenge! Dhaba doesn't look like much from the outside but once you step inside it's like entering another world! Comfy chairs, lots of space and it smells terrific! Service was good without being annoying. My friend and I ordered Dhaba Chicken (spicy and flavoursome), Vegetable Makhni (awesome), Dal Tadka (best dahl I've had in ages), garlic naan (yummo) and plain rice. Serving sizes were terrific - we were full up plus had some left to take home. All up I'd encourage you to give Dhaba a go. I thought it was absolutely terrific - met and surpassed all my expectations!

Great Indian. Home made poppadoms, delicious smokey butter chicken and a fantastic chicken korma. Definitely coming back very soon!

Great restaurant. Friendly international staff. Nice setting and comfortable - not squeezed in. Good food-we shared a few dishes between the six of us. Best of all, they were happy to split the very reasonable bill. Will definitely revisit and recommend.

Fairly average. Typical indian, lacking in a bit of atmosphere. main course food was quite good, wouldnt order entrees.

Top notch service. I thought the service here was great - helpful but not too in your face. Food was excellent. Its a bit hard to see this restaurant from the street, but once you're inside it looks a lot more upmarket.

Delicious Indian! Have visited several times and can't wait to go back again. They do a great butter chicken and the garlic nan is fantastic! Friendly service and standard Perth Indian prices.

Expectation not met... Nice but not stand out. Small dishes for sharing, price ok. Setting dated, staff quiet but helpful. Not what we would call authentic too toned down for westerners. Good menu and BYO

Delicious. Best Indian meal i've ever had. Amazing. The service and decor was wonderful too, definitely going back!

Great Food!. As an Indian, I can say the food is mind blowing. Each dish has a uniquely distinct taste. This place is a regular for me.
Cam N Mel
Great food complimented by equally good service. Give Dhaba a go; traditional Indian cuisine, reasonable prices and convenient location. We'll be back to eat the butter chicken and lamb madras.
Reece
Expected a bit more. I had takeaway butter chicken. Tasted good but wasn't much chicken there. For $20 something dollars with nann bread and no rice I thought it was quite expensive. Just from the reviews alone I'd like to have a sit down meal and try something else off the menu.
Ben Cunningham
What more could ben want!. It gave me a stiffy! So delicious!
Jeff
The Butter Chicken ought to be against the law. It's so good it makes you want to rip your clothes off. The Lamb Vindaloo is amazing as well but may be the spiciest dish I've ever had. I thought I was on Man vs Food, eyes watering and nose running will occur with that dish so be prepared.
Puddleduck
Fantastic curry, shocking service. We booked a table of 8 for dinner, and despite being one of the first tables seated in the restaurant at around 6.30pm, we didn't get any food for over an hour. I could see the takeaway was very busy, perhaps they forgot about the starving restaurant patrons. When the food did arrive, the side dishes didn't arrive until we had nearly finished eating. The wait staff looked bored as they stood around, and not once were we asked if we'd like drinks (which we did).

What a shame because the dishes were absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients, nice tender meats, fragrant sauces. I would highly recommend it for the food, and hopefully the service picks up.
Ann Woodward
Good Find. I'm from the UK and find Perth Indian food isn't what it is in the UK, but this is pretty close. We all had different dishes and they tasted great, in fact the vindaloo was too hot. Good value too wine by the bottle approx $25 for Amberley.
Will be back.

Two Thumbs Up. Had the raan (lamb) and crab which were really delicious. Seriously finger licking good. Service could have been a little more on the ball (refilling drinks/finger bowl for the crab?) Otherwise an awesome Indian meal. Very happy to have a restaurant of this quality in Scarborough. Looking forward to trying other stuff on the extensive menu.

Great takeout !!. Had 4 curries, butter chicken, lamb Korma and two vegatarian dishes ( tomato veggies and green chillie mushrooms ). Both carnivores and strict vegetarians where very pleased with portions, quality of ingredients and full flavour. Great service. Slightly above average prices for the general area but well worth it. The staff at front if desk very very polite and did not have a long wait. You can even email you order. They are 3 months new, and web site is pending. Highly recommended. Al

Unique menu, amazing food!. At last a breath of fresh air on the Perth Indian restaurant scene! Went to the Dhaba last Sunday and,as a foodie, with a lot of reservation. What a revelation this place turned out to be. Cosy atmosphere and friendly yet unobtrusive service. The menu was full of exotic and different choices not offered anywhere else in Perth. Fresh was the word that came to mind most often. Everything we had was beautifully presented and the aromas and tastes were something to go back for again and again! The Lamb fireballs were just that, succulent, melt in the mouth lamb meatballs marinated and finished off in a spicy sauce - lip smacking good! The black pepper chicken was tender, mildly spiced aromatic- lovely. The Daba chicken was unusual but very very good. We ordered a goan prawn curry which is not on the menu but the chef obligingly made this for us. The dal makhani was also amazing. If this restaurant can maintain this level of service and cuisine, then it will soon be the yardstick by which all Indian restaurants in Perth should gauge themselves by, which can only be good for all of us!
Li
A very good Indian restaurant. We had a fantastic meal at Dhaba. I had the vindaloo. Amazing. Very hot if you like hot but also very good flavor. My husband had a fish curry and was so impressed we ordered take always a few days later. The same quality and when ordering I was offered a rogan josh with a bit more of a bite as I do like my curry hot but did not feel like vindaloo again. The curry was very good and II would recommend this restuarant as a dine-in or take away. I will definitely be back!

The best Indian in Perth. Let me start with how amazed we were at the freshness and flavours of the dishes we ordered. We would thoroughly recommend Dhaba to any of our friends and family. I am an Indian and I was totally blown away with the food we received. ( I generally refuse to go to an indian restaurant as family makes the best indian dishes anyway...) But am totally glad I did this as I have found a gem of a place for us to get take aways now... especially on the hot days we get in Perth where neither my husband nor I want to cook. The staff are always friendly. Our favourites are the potato cakes, fiery meatballs, butter prawn and the lamb biryani is just amazing with the generous amount of soft succulent meat it comes with. I have to say the food is definitely cooked traditionally and it is not overly oily. Well done chefs!!! :)

Take Me To Foodie Heaven
After attending mass for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we battled heavy rains and fierce winds to have dinner at Dhaba. It was indeed a stormy night, great for something spicy like a curry. I was also craving for Indian food too. When we arrived, the restaurant was really quiet as it was stormy and I am guessing not many people are willing to go out for dinner on a cold, stormy night. The service was quick and efficient. Not long after we were seated, we placed our orders as we were also very hungry. We decided to share our dishes too. Our waitperson also brought some complimentary Papadum to our table. We ordered the Tandoori Mix Platter ($33.95), Butter Chicken ($21.95), Lamb Vindaloo ($21.95) and Vegetable Makhni ($17.95). The tandoori mix platter came with a generous portion of tandoori from chicken, sausages to fish and it was delicious! My favourite all-time Indian dish is Butter Chicken and in Dhaba, the Butter Chicken was cooked perfectly and the tomato and butter
