Beautiful quaint little cafe/bar with friendly staff, comfortable seating and absolutely delicious food! Thankyou for letting me read for as long as I did after my meal !

Best eggs benedict I've ever had, the eggs were so fresh & perfectly cooked, the smoked salmon was thick & fresh great atmosphere A1 quality meals absolutely would go back to Inverell just to go to The General Merchants again 🌼🌼🌼
Wow! I didn't expect this quality of service in a country town. The food quality and taste is of a very high standard. I would like to congratulate owner Mark McNeil for managing such a great place to dine. I wish there was more establishment like this one on my travels. I'll definitely will be back

I often spend a part of my day at The General Merchant as it has a relaxing atmosphere for conducting on line business over my devices. Usually enjoy two mugs of their exceptional cappuccinos made by talented baristas. Great freshly cooked muffins and scones. Some of the more long-standing employees
Good coffee and tea. Nice staff. Wheelchair accessible. Food was nice but not amazing.
Excellent coffee, breakfast was served quickly and well priced, nice retro atmosphere. Will be back when next in town.
