I was looking for the heart of Ipswich and when I came across this Fine Dine Restaurant it was un explainable to rate this so I new I had to give a 5-Star to The Cottage Restaurant. It had marvelous Staff with nice greetings and exhalent chefs with so much talent. I highly recommend going here...

On recommendation from a friend for dinner for our wedding anniversary we were not disappointed by any measure. Beautiful ambience with wonderful staff and the food....absolutely amazing. Looking forward to our next visit.

These people absolutely saved the day. Valentine's day and a certain at-home chefs service (where a chef cooks food and serves it "at your table"), bailed on us with only a few hours to spare. Cottage restaurant went above and beyond, letting me speak to the chef who was so accommodating and cooked food for me to serve at home. The pork belly and blueberry tart were simply delicious and made Valentine's day for my wife so special. I can only imagine that the food and service in the restaurant is even better. Thank you so much for saving the day.

A hidden gem in the heart of Ipswich. The food is first class and the flavors are wonderful. It does not have an extensive menu but what it does offer is innovative and creative. A very reasonably priced restaurant for the standard of food which would easily rival some of the Brisbane city establishments.

Have been going to The Cottage for years and have many beautiful family memories there but unfortunately over the last 12 months there has been a noticeable downfall in the service which really isn’t acceptable for a restaurant that deems itself fine dining. The service plays a big part of a fine dining experience; knowledge of wines, knowledge of flavour combinations and pairing. This unfortunately is not present in the service and staff definitely need to be up skilled as to how to wait tables in a fine dining restaurant. Just isn’t quite what it used to be.

Need better training on staff with wines. Asked for a cab sav came back with a Chardonnay twice before the red. Quaill was nice. Rabbit was nice. Partners duck was over cooked not tender and was chewy. Was nice atmosphere. But when your paying $42 for a main you expect duck to be tender juicy and medium rare along with crispy skin for the extra flavour.

My family had a Birthday dinner just recently, we all thoroughly enjoyed pur meals and dessert. The waitress staff were very attentive. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food and lovely staff. Truffle cappuccino was surprisingly delicious. Steak was cooked at a marvellous state where the meat had enough juice to bring out the flavour and texture of premium quality steak. Barramundi was fresh and tender. Would definitely recommend diners to try when they are around. (Rating for each dish)

If you are looking for a delicious vegetarian substitute meal I dont recommend putting your faith in the chef. Really disappointed in my main meal which was well presented and relatively tasty, but was basically a plate if vegetables that I was charged $38 for. Not at all value for money. However I did enjoy my entree and dessert.

I did contact the restaurant about my disappointment and the response was a polite one of sorry thats just how it is. Certainly won't be revisiting The Cottage Restaurant again.

We happened upon this place after thinking it wasn't open for several months due to the 'opening soon' sign. Turns out they have been open for months.

Food was spectacular!!! Nothing else like it in Ipswich. Atmosphere and ambiance, and flawless service.

I had the Peking Inspired Duck...OMG!!!

Support this one for god sake so they stay open. Ipswich needs at least one fine dining for dinner.
