Review Tomato Brothers - Ipswich

Don't bother if you're allergic to dairy or vegan. You'll pay an extra $2-$3 only for them to put 5 stands of cheese on each slice. I understand it's more expensive, which is why I pay extra on top of the regular price. You should at least put enough on so a slice can be moved from the box to a plate without everything falling off.

Ordered food for the first time from here, and the pasta was absolutely terrible with what looked and tasted like processed chicken. Highly do not recommend. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We hadn't been here in years. Food was great. Just a tip, leave the onion out of the kids carbonara. Was to strong. All other food was delicious

I ordered the Carbonara. Pasta was cooked perfectly, good amount of toppings, good sized portion, nice and saucy. Best pasta I've had in awhile. Tomatoe Brothers keep it up 👌

I have had jar sauce with more flavour than this. None of the flavours of a beautiful white sauce. Tasted like pure bland cream... no salt, pepper, garlic or flavour. Very disappointed knowing this was a dish I use to love from them. Wouldn't recommend and will not be going back.

Great Restaurant - Amazing friendly service Was able to have a share meal allowing us to try 3 different dishes 1. Cheesy Herb and Olive Calzones (My favourite) 2. Chicken Satay Pasta (Amazing) 3. Pizza Special (6 toppings) Enjoyed this able to have what we exactly wanted. Enjoyed that this Restaurant has a bar was able to enjoy a beer with my pizza - Bar Prices great. My wife and I went to this little place a couple of years ago. I had never had a calzone before and it was amazing. Went again last night and again it was amazing. Great food great service. Check it out. NOW

Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff. And the wood fired pizza was awesome. If you have never tried wood fire pizza before you need to go here.

Went to one of our favourite pizza places again last night. We love this place, not only cause our son works here and is a chef, but overall the staff are friendly and helpful. I take my hat off to Donna & Jeff and Atarah, for giving the young people of Ipswich a go at working even if they are not perfect to start with :) When someone starts working in a place any place we are all a bit nervous, especially our young people. I have noticed a lot of our young ones suffer from anxiety, so to start a new job can be a bit nerve racking. We love the food, . I love the young staff who are always friendly and helpful, keep up the great work, from little things BIG things come :) Let us encourage the young people of Ipswich :) So to all the hard workers at Tomato Brothers keep up the great work, you guys ROCK :) We will be back :)

We had a table of 12 tonight.. 6 kids and all I can say is the staff and the food was absolutely beautiful��can’t recommend you guys enough.. every single time we visit we have a really nice and enjoyable time��

Amazing vegan pizza! Had dinner here tonight and ordered the vegetarian rainforest pizza with vegan cheese, hands down the best pizza I've had. So happy to see more places offering vegan options. And they also do a vegan slice and coconut ice cream for dessert. Will definitely be back.

We went there tonight for my special needs daughters 23rd birthday! Krystal was amazing, as was the other young waitress!! The food was divine!! And sooooo much!! I highly recommend this restaurant �����

Easily the best pizza I've had, both my colleague and myself have not stopped raving about to our staff, service was fantastic and the staff so polite and happy. The pizzas were were presented to perfection and the crust was just right. Recommend to anyone who is in Ipswich and hungry. I will return!!! � � �

Front of shop staff were great, The food was Great. However the Owner/s should never mix with customers. He was the rudest man I have ever encountered (in hospitality). In one sentance he managed to piss off 1/3 of the patrons by complaining about smoke comming from candles he supplied. Even threatening us with the $600 fire brigade bill if they came out. Bad form. A bit of advice (for free). It is all about the total customer experience, from the time we walk in, to the time we walk out. We were presented with a printed sheet outlining all the additional costs we were going to be charged on top of the meal, this did not go down well, and we had only just sat down. A better (and more profitable) solution would be to add 50c to each menu item to cover these and this would make for a better overall customer experience. So in summary. Front of shop service and food "EXECELANT". Owner "FAIL" would I go back? No. would any of the 19 others at out table go back? No. Will we tell out friends? Yes.

Best pizza we've had in a long time!! Ordered take aways on a Friday night, ready within 25 minutes. We had the satay chicken, surf n turf, meat lovers and a kids ham and pineapple, AMAZING!! Very generous toppings as well. Will be back :) currently enjoying the leftovers for dinner tonight, yum!!

Thank you so much for looking after our large group so well on Saturday night. Our food was wonderful and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble for our waitress.

This restaurant is more than worth a visit. Delicious food at a more than just a reasonable price and decent serving sizes, all served by very professional and friendly staff. I'd give it 10 stars if it were an option!

We rang ahead and booked a table but didn't need to as it looked as though we beat the evening rush... very prompt friendly service but not rushed into making our meal decision. A large pumpkin feta and olive pizza to share with the caesar salad. The meal was served very quickly and was delightful. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive and we had no problems having what we could not eat packaged as takeaway. Simple and tasty. 5 stars without a doubt.

Went there for a vegan meal and the new notzarella was amazing ! Staff were so nice about it too some of the girls are vegan too apparently so very understanding ! Pizza was lovely �

Awesome cheerful service and quick as well. We had the pumkin and lge Fetta Pizza and mains Caesar salad ...both fed us with exra to take away..same would easily feed 3. 25 percent off as we have tickets to Incinerator theatre . � i highly recommend. Thankyou all the fab staff !!

Beautiful colourful restaurant, staff were friendly � Had a traditional carbonara, massive size bowl and was delicious. Was able to get a takeaway container for left overs.

My husband and I met here for our first date and tonight came in to share a date night for our 5th anniversary we have shared many a meal here and have never been served a bad meal, the staff are always quick and courteous and the food is delish!!

We had a booking for 20. Staff was excellent and extremely helpful. Banquet was amazing and so much food plus boxed up all the leftovers pizza and pastas. Helped with with setting up a gift table and cake. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys

First time and the last time!<br/>The pizza and pasta were horrible! I asked for a spicy vegetarian pizza (veg out) and ended up with a spicy vegetarian pesto. There was no flavour, no added mushrooms or any cheese on the pizzas.<br/>My animals didn't even eat the food.<br/>What a waste of money. Dominos would have been the go or a home cook meal.<br/>Absolutely, appalling.

Just had a family dinner here. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable and there are plenty of different options. We will coming back soon to try something else on the menu.

These guys at tomato brothers make a good pizza. I was very impressed at the addition of vegan meals and they were quite good. I also found the staff and service to be well above average.

It use to be good..... It use to be a good little restaurant for yummy, reasonably priced food. <br/>Now it's just confusing. <br/>- $4 for cold table water<br/>- plastic table clothes<br/>- $0.50 charged per meal to take home left overs, which I wouldn't mind but we weren't advised and it wasn't advertised anywhere we could see, they just went ahead and charged us. They also charged us twice for this by accident, which was a bit annoying considering we weren't even advised about the first charge. <br/>- instead of music, they had the radio playing. Talk back and ads included<br/>- the food was okay, pretty tastey with very generous serves. <br/>- you pay for the generous serve. it was $22 for a bowl of pasta.<br/><br/><br/>All in all, it's not the cosy, cheap, yummy food it use to be. I was thoroughly disappointed.

Cheap tastless ingredients used. The food was tasteless and overpriced - the young staff young were friendly , the ingredients used was cheap and tasted processed - I do not know how you can call a Main meal that has 6 tiny prawns a "prawn dish" the Marinara pasta had 4 tiny prawns along with 4 slithers of calamari and 4 mussels.The prawns were smaller than the type you find in your fried rice. Everything was lacking the full flavour you would expect with Italian food. nothing tasted as if it had been made fresh there, rather it tasted as through it had been opened and added- we will not go back

Terrible for the price - could have had fine dining!. Calzone was dry and hard, prawn carbonara had 4 small prawns that were squishy and clearly not fresh. asked for some parmesan cheese & got a ramekin of dry vomit cheese! For a couple who were starving, we both barely ate our meals. a couple of beers, a wine & $150 later we left, swearing never to bother again.

This use to be the greatest little restaurant in Ipswich. Was Happy and lots if fun. The owners seem to have wrecked it! My kids could not eat their pasta, due to large amounts of ground pepper.

Not worth it!. Didn't have enough time to eat our entrees because mains came out way too early. Food was very bland with no exciting flavours. Majority of the staff were rude and sour. Was put in a corner facing a wall. Would not dine here again!!

Not very good. Drive to Redbank and go to fasta pasta where the food it better and cheaper.

Great. We had dinner here recently and loved it. <br/>Entrees, dips, pasta, pizza, dessert, wine, beer, all were delicious. The service was friendly, without being effusive, and professional. Not once were we addressed as "guys". That was really refreshing. For that alone they have our return business. <br/>My only small gripe is that the courses were served too close together. Certainly shows efficiency in the kitchen though. <br/>Shame this eatery isn't open for lunch. <br/>All in all, highly recommendable.

Went here the other night and loved it! So the decor looking a little tired but we sat down and meals were out within 20 mins - we had pepperoni pizza (very yummy) the New Orleans OMG this was amazing and a great combination of flavors and the bacon tomato pasta which was also full of flavor. I was very surprised at how busy they were on a Tuesday night and very glad I booked and very happy to of had such a positive experience here :)

Always excellent. Been here a couple of times and each time I've had the banquet. So much good food and very filling. This place is always packed out so you need to book in advance. Tomato Brothers are great.

Great Pasta. Tried it a few weeks ago. Pasta is to die for!

We have been to tomato brothers several times, for birthdays and dates nights. We always have had great food and service. Our last visit was a booking for 2 Friday night @ 7pm. We arrived on time and was seated quickly and soon after we ordered an received table water. Our entre (garlic and cheese calzone) arrived at 7:10. Our main (prawn cabonara and New Orleans pizza) arrived at 7:25. Out food was hit, fresh and fantastic! We always have a great meal here! We have been on a busy Saturday night ad noticed that service is a little slow, but hey, they are busy and the wait is well worth it!

Don't go there. The worst tomato brothers restaurant I have ever been to. Food was ok but the service was very VERY slow and the staff were rude, plus wrong meals.

What a great little find! We decided to check Tomato Brothers out after reading the reviews on here and we weren't disappointed. Great, quirky atmosphere, huge dishes (seriously had enough for two lunches the next day) that had crazy amounts of flavour, and exceptional value for money. The dishes did take a little while to come out, but the wait was worth it. We'll be back.

Absolutely love it.. Everything I get from here is above average and their pizzas are always fantastic. Staff service is sometimes a bit slow, but their food is exquisite. Favourite place to dine in Ippy.

Terrible service. We were brought the wrong order twice before being brought out starters over an hour after we arrived. If you ever want to get your food, don't bother coming here.

Delicious pizza and pasta. Always delicious pizza and pasta (and calzones) and large selection of beer. Mostly good service, a bit slow if its really busy but its worth it. Way better than pizza capers (which is overrated)

Absolutely amazing. We love going to Tomato Brothers Ipswich. They take a bit longer during the busy periods but what can be expected when they've got orders coming out of their ears. We recently just tried the berry clazone and it was to die for! Have to have a light dinner to fit it in though. Can't wait to go back again!

Just moved from the Barossa Valley in SA where we were surrounded by gourmet food and fine wine. I Cant find words to describe how perfect the food was at the Tomato Brothers, Ipswich. Amazing!!! Best wood oven pizza I have ever had! And the price??? Fantastic! The staff??? Very competent and friendly!

Best pizza in Ipswich! Price not unreasonable when compared to the quality of food. Takeaway menu is great. Waiters were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Service is always slow but the quality of the food makes it worth the wait! Try the whole menu, it's all fantastic.
