Review Thai Silver Key - Ipswich

I ordered the chicken pad thai, blandest, boring pad thai I have ever had and the pork belly and basil. Pork belly is hit and miss but when I saw it was the chefs special i thought they would nail it. Wrong... Pork belly bits were small and chewy, the fat wasn't rendered either, and the rest of the dish was just boring. very disappointing

We have been to several Thai restaurants and Silver Key is hands down the best we have had , their curry puffs and steamed dim Sims are sensational.

I ordered 2 takeaway meals Cripsy Pork Belly Delight and honestly the pork belly was not fresh tough and old . I ordered Seafood Comination which had more stir fry veges and very little seafood. I will be going elswhere

I ordered online the Pad Sew Yu noodles, well it was not worth the effort the chicken was tough, the noodles were almost transparent and the flavour, well there was none. I had this same meal at the Thai restaurant in Springfield 2 weeks ago and it was full of flavour, chicken was tender and obviously not 3 days old.Too far unfortunately to order delivery. I would rather drive than eat what I threw out.

We have been going here for many years and there's a reason for it. Food has always been delicious with very good portion sizes. They have always been very accommodating with dietary needs and helpful with our 2 little kids, providing high chair/good table placement etc. It really is a hidden gem of Ipswich and as long as it's in business we will keep coming 😁 Personal favourites from the menu: chicken satay skewers, dim sims, tempura veggies, seafood curry, and pad Thai (with extra veggies added) ❤

The food here is terrible. The green curry was full of liquid and was so watery and the chicken was dry still it was the only dish with a nice flavour. Sweet chilli fish was full of undercooked chunky vegetables, fish was extremely dry and had a very fishy taste. Couldn't even taste any chilli. Worst dish was the pork belly, it was full of gristle and was so dry its inedible. No taste and again full of undercooked vegetables. Nicest dish was the rice... is an expensive meal for the dogs! Very disappointing but typical food standards for Ipswich. Will never go back would not recommend.

Best Thai food in Ipswich! Customer service is on point! The main waitress on monday and tuesday night is very lovely :) Love every dish, especially the honey pork ribs and deep fried ice cream!

I absolutely love getting my takeaway curry for dinner. It’s even better that I can get an extra container of sauce for my pregnancy craving since I drink it like a soup. Tastes absolutely amazing every time with great customer service �

Have been eating here for years and it's been my go-to for Thai. Not any more... last night ordered 3 different dishes and one being the Crispy Pork Belly with Basil. All 3 dishes the meat was extremely overcooked and dry. The pork belly was in fact a spare rib (bones throughout) which I'm almost certain had been cooked 2-3 days prior and reheated in the microwave and sliced into pieces. I would expect this from a fast food chain like McDonalds not somewhere that is $65 and up for dinner. I have noticed the decline in quality over the last few months. This made me sad :-(

Best Thai in Ipswich and one of our favorite places to eat. When we get takeaway the wait times are always short, and when we dine in we have never had any trouble getting a table. The staff are lovely and professional and always greet us with a smile the moment the come through the door. Even after trying so many different things on the menu I keep coming back to the Pad Thai, simply because no one else makes it like they do. Silver Key is perfect for a lazy night at home or casual dining and we'll be coming back for years to come.

Had such a positive experience. We were able to get a last minute booking despite them being busy and having a full restaurant. My mum has serious nut and shellfish allergies, and the staff went out of their way to ensure her meal was made fresh and separate to avoid any chance of contact. Food was fresh and delicious with very generous serving sizes. Everyone left satisfied after the great food and fantastic service. Definitely recommend this place!

Best Thai in Ipswich. It might be a small restaurant buts it's huge on flavour. Staff remember past clients and ordering is fast an efficient. The food is hot, fresh and lingering on my tastebuds. Thanks Guys 😀

Fantastic jasmine tea! Apart from that, the third world beef was so chewy (as usual) that this is the last time. The commute to Brisbane is well worth your time.

We just moved to Ipswich and had some take out and it was delicious. Yellow Curry was beautiful and flavoursome and the Pad Thai was the best I have had in ages! Defiantly going back and trying more!

I've ordered from here serval times and have never been disappointed. The meals are delicious, vegetables fresh and meat always top notch. Highly recommend.

EEEEKKKK!!!. I'd heard it was great, but bad service is worse than bad food in my books. Went in and ordered take away, we were the only ones there....they said 15 mins, 45 mins later and about 20 people thru the door and they'd forgotten to put our order in, I'm afraid I have no patience for that kind of service. Food was basic, wouldn't go again.

Delicious green curry. Introduced to this place by my girlfriend and it is now the only place we go to for Thai. Have eaten in but won't again as it is very cramped but I have never been disappointed with any of the meals.

Meh. Decent tasting but too oily and they're stingy with their servings, especially the seafood. Ordered a fried rice with prawns, less than 5 prawns. Made worse by the fact we were paying $20+ for that dish.

Lovely restaurant. Dined in several times and get takeaway. Serving sizes are good (my husband and I can share one takeaway meal) and the food is tasty. They serve a great Cashew Chicken and my husband loves their Green Chicken Curry. Delicious!

Waited for 3 minutes for the woman behind the counter to look up from her phone screen to serve me. She only looked up after ringing a bell that was 20cm in front of her face. I can't comment on the food, I won't eat at a place with such terrible service.

We had dinner last Saturday we waited 1 hour and ten minutes for our meals when they did come we were short a meal which they had clearly forgotten and waited another 10 minutes for that meal .The food was very nice when it did eventually come however the service was very very poor the staff were rude and very unhelpful and very disorganized . Other people that came in after us got their orders before us and left before us . Not sure if I will go again .

Nice Original Thai Cuisine. Very nice Thai dishes, same as tasted in Bangkok. Especially their Gai-Yang, Thai style BBQ Chicken, so nice it is a must order dish at Thai Silver Key. Restaurant staff are also Thai ethnic background and very friendly.

My favourite Thai place in Ipswich. My partner and I absolutely LOVE the sweet and sour chicken. Followed by a tasty treat of deep fried ice cream. YUM!
