Review Harvest Restaurant & Bar - Ipswich

We were a group of 3 who turned up unexpectedly as we are new to the area and was literally in the car looking for somewhere to eat. During our travels we stumbled upon Char’d Steakhouse and thought let’s give it a go if possible. Shortly after arriving we were approached by the friendly restaurant manager who asked if we had a booking which we didn’t. We could see how busy the restaurant was however the manager made every effort to accommodate us as newbies. After finding a placement at a booth, the manager explained how it all worked and advised wait staff will be over shortly to ensure our orders. We felt welcomed and comfortable. Food took a little while to reach our table from time of order though we could see they were busy and understaffed due to Covid etc. We commend the manager and his staff on their service overall. Great place, lively food, comfortable seating & a nice atmosphere. Thanks for having us. Highly recommend.

A casual monday lunch, pub style food with a very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff and short wait time which was great, as for the food I had the lunch special of lamb, vegetables and mashed potatoes which was about $19 a decent portion, lamb was soft, vegetables were also very soft but did not have a lot of flavour and the mashed potato was rather bland also overall it was ok though my husband had the ribs and wings again, good size portion flavours were good and price point was pretty reasonable, other meals thats came out to other tables looked really good so I wouldn't completely dismiss this venue on the one experience we had. This venue has: - great atmosphere - great customer service - reasonable wait time for meals

Good food, reasonable price. Very spacious place with comfortable seatings. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great service. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back again.

Beautiful place!! Lovely style & deco. I enjoyed my delicious "reef&beef" meal everything was cooked to perfection. Not your 'average pub' but more of a classy type pub. Considering the amount of people that were there we were served promptly, service was great & staff were very friendly. Thank you! We will be back again.

It was my 1st time here, and the atmosphere was nice, the staff welcoming, and the food good. The fav was the seafood chowder according to my sister and brother-in-law. They go there regularly, and were thrilled to see the new seafood menu.

My family and I came in unexpectedly tonight after wanting to come here for the longest time!! We are so glad we did, what an experience. The food was perfection, the drinks were great and the staff were courteous. The venue inside was absolutely gorgeous. We will be back again. 5/5 stars, love it!

Such a great place! Loved it. I think the food is so delicious, hot, fresh and all round brilliant place to eat. Love taking my family there. Sunday specials are good too. Cheers

Arrived and seated, no menus available and we weren't ready for the qr codes menus ordering, been a long time between dining out. Delicious meals, partners brisket and veg didn't look amazing but was very tasty, my barra was divine, found a small bone. My partner asked for a doggie bag and the waiter went to get it but forgot, after a few minutes I had to go and get waiters attention. When I finished my dish I placed to the side of the table but staff kept walking past and left them there. Beautiful surroundings and lovely atmosphere.

WHAT A TURNAROUND !!!... I had to tell those interested that the Harvest Restaurant has turned a corner ... after being less than thrilled when we were there few months back with friends as it was a bit "been there bored with that" the menu was tired ... <br/><br/>Tonight I was convinced to give it another go and it has made some changes a new chef from the foodie district in Brisbane has been put on and there are some great changes... Now the local producers and suppliers are being pushed which is great for the district... fresh locally grown and sourced food ...<br/><br/>TRY the Brisket ... that's all I'm saying you gotta try the brisket...YUM

Overpriced travelling salesman's eatery - average food, average service, atmosphere like a motorway cafe. Eat elsewhere in Ipswich if you can.

Went out for anniversary dinner so chose somewhere we thought would be a bit special. My fish was guppy sized, and tasteless. Partners chicken had been flattened and overlooked until it looked and tasted like boot leather. The only real positive was that they polite and fair in their receipt of feedback. They are expensive and marketing as fine dining, but food is $10 services club standard. Give them a miss.

We were very disappointed with Platform 9 restaurant. The food was very good- semi fine dining. However, the service was very poor. There were 8 diners with to waitresses. They took 20 minutes to take our order and we were told that they did not carry either of the wines that we ordered from the drinks menu. 30 minutes later two meals were brought to the table- both incorrect. A little while after that we had to ask for our glasses of wine. Nothing but water for the first 40 minutes. Our meal arrived 1hour after ordering. Apparently they were very busy that night. We will never go back.

My dinning experience at Platform 9 was very disappointing - we booked for a 6.30pm seating(pretty early) only to find they had 1 piece of Rib fillet left and out of the 5 choices of dessert you only had a choice of 3. Potato Bake was dry and had no flavour, not what you would expect from this class of restaurant.<br/>Obviously not planning on have a total of 10 guest that night. Service was good, but the waitress should have been better trained to what was on offer on the menu.

A hidden gem. A relaxed atmosphere. Impeccable service and the food was AMAZING. very good prices. A must for the local with refined taste and desirre for excellence without having to go into brisbane.
