Review Nourish Real Food Cafe - Ipswich

Troy and Kerri Simpson
Lovely decor in a renovated historical Ipswich building. Staff are friendly, service is good. Coffee is average but well presented. Unfortunately, during our visit there were several patrons who were too familiar with staff/owners. Walking in and out of service/kitchen areas. Staff were engaging in this behaviour in return also. Travelling around the café as if it was their home, speaking rather loudly. Were everywhere but in their seats at their table. Made the whole experience disappointing for us.

Located inside a renovated heritage building, nourish gives you an idea of what could be possible in uptown Ipswich with the right funding. Very nice cafe for a quiet cup. Friendly staff, regular cafe/breakfast meals, excellent coffee. Extra seating out the back on long tables when the weather is nice. Stone pizza oven in the works....

Ordered as we usually do every Sunday for breakfast, how ever this time the young waitress was so rude? She walked up to our table practically throwing our coffees on the table and said enjoy as she walked away. Also our food was extremely poor with no care at all. Did get our money back but the attitude buy the female staff was rude, arrogant and pitaful. Won't be going back after supporting this business for several years.

Nice interiors, modern cafe, staff nice (average), really good coffee, but the food was sad. Two small piece of bread, eggs and a small piece of halloumi on the side of the plate - nothing else, really poor with no care. It’s not as difficult to put there some spinach, sauce and arrange it better.

Tried here for the first time and it was spot on! Couldn't fault food at all and there was plenty of food on the plate. Juice and coffee was amazing as well as the friendly staff. Highly recommend. I think my wife and I have found a new "go to" place.

The food here never disappoints and the staff are so friendly and knowledgable. The owners should be proud that they have fostered such an incredible culture of loving healthy delicious food among their patrons and staff. Thanks guys!

Food was good, prices average. Kids sandwiches turned up without bacon and cheese so had to go back up to the counter to have this added in. Really nice fit-out.

Love their breakfast menu and coffees. Great location in central Ipswich. Friendly staff and great ambience. I'm a regular there.

1 point for location and interior design. Food is average compare to local shops, below average if compared to shops in Brisbane metro area. However menu prices are higher than some 4.5 rated cafes. Took 1hr to come up with 3 popular lunch dishes on a quiet Wednesday. Then ordered 3 cups of normal coffee which took 25 mins without any other customer order, and Maccafe's coffee even taste way better and only cost half of its price.
Do not know how this place got up to 3.2 rating here.
Waste of time and money, not recommended.

Outstanding banana bread here. Now I am commenting on this because I am not a banana bread lover but this I could not refuse. Was loaded with coconut shreds & fruit & we ordered it toasted with butter. Was just delish! Coffee was nicely done, but lacked strength. I should have gone with a double shot. Nice coffee art though & loved the bright yellow stools & matching coffee machine!

Love the atmosphere and setting. However when I got there, the table I went to, was quite dirty and seats too. I had to clean them myself. The waiter did not offer to clean them for me even though he saw me walk in and cleaning the chairs. There were no napkins on the table unlike other tables. I helped myself with napkins.

We had BLT and beef burger. Prices have increased since the photos of the menu in this review. The food portions were larger than I expected. Beef burger was recommended to me. Overall, pretty tasty but the patty was not as nice when eaten on its own. BLT was average, but there was a generous amount of bacon in it.

Great cafe for breakfast.
The service is fantastic - fast and very friendly. The coffee was a good standard and my bacon and scrambled eggs were excellent.
You’ll find Nourish, a ‘real food café’, in a beautifully restored building in the Top of the Town precinct. Gorgeous handmade brick feature walls, exposed RSJ feature beams, polished concrete floors and wooden tables set off this charming new age café, which caters well for food intolerances and niche diets. Using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, it’s a place where you can enjoy an all-day breakfast or açai bowl, burgers for lunch, delicious raw and gluten-free sweet treats with your coffee or herbal tea. In Ipswich style, order and pay at the counter, though at Nourish there’s no sign in the restaurant or on the menu to tell you the protocol. With staff clad in activewear, the café atmosphere is rather casual. Attempting to cover all bases, there’s plenty on the menu to please both gym junkies and indulgent diners: the delicious paleo loaf is loaded with almond meal, coconut, nuts and currants, yet the Schulte’s fillet steak burger is made on a generic white bread bun and served with crunchy chips; protein-packed smoothies feature cacao, almond butter, chia and boost powder, but cronuts are on the menu as well. Nothing like small city diversity, but we’d love to see it dished out with a ‘small town’ welcome as well!

In Ipswich for the weekend and discovered this place. We will definitely be going back tomorrow morning for breakfast! The food and the setting was really good!

Finally, a vegan breakfast menu with decent protein and delicious vegetables. My meal this morning was an absolute treat. The flavours of each element of the meal burst with flavour and freshness.

A beautiful cafe right on the Main Street. It's light and airy, super spacious yet extremely cosy. I ordered a coconutty bowl which was delicious!

A must see cafe, they have a great menu with gluten free options too :)

Food was good. The servings were standard as is the price. I had the Acai bowl which was tasty and the nine spice tea which was yum. The chai latte was so so and so was the cronut. The lay out was good. The service was a little let down though friendly enough just little things like yelling across tables or carrying conversation while clearing tables make for a blah atmosphere. I won't read into our dirty tables and I'm not sure how clean my tea pot was when I was served... But otherwise decent experience in a growing trend in Ipswich. Get on top of your waiting staff and you'll be quite the contender.

Liked but didn't love. The vibe was trendy and hip and I liked the waitresses (is that we call them these days?). Hallelujah, my zymil milk induced coffee was actually the same price as a normal regular milk coffee. I had the vege burger and it was nice, but not as succulent and juicy as tastebuds were yearning to receive. For a trendy joint, I was surprised how large the servings were. I will definately return to try something else....

Great options for people who need to avoid dairy or are vegan/vegetarian. Lots of healthy options & tasty options.
Be sure to always ask for extra muesli with your acai bowl though (they can be a bit light handed).

Came in for brunch, ordered beautiful latte and breakfast was served using fresh ingredients and was not waiting too long. I will be coming back again, friendly staff too.

Came here on a whim, as we were looking for a coffee after lunch at Heisenberg Haus next door. I'm glad we did! I had the caramel cronut and it was amazing! Hubby had a doppiato and said it was a really nice coffee (and he's hard to please!). Can't wait to come back to try the menu items, because they all look delicious.

This new cafe looks great and has a very welcoming atmosphere.

The menu at Nourish is simple but delicious. I got the Primal Breakfast which was very satisfying. Husband got the eggs benny which is a classic and perfectly executed by the Nourish team.

We also had coffees, a soy latte and piccolo, made on Jasper coffee beans which was strong but lovely and smooth.

They also have a great range of treats in the cabinet which I couldn't resist. The salted caramel slice was delicious.

I can't wait to head back to Nourish really soon!
