Friendly and helpful service, good coffee brewed with attention and care. Tasty version of avo on toast with smoked feta and pumpkin sourdough.

The best food and coffee in Ipswich, backed up by wonderful staff and a fantastic, passionate owner. Always served with a smile and have enjoyed every meal I’ve had there. Even when flat out, the staff do their absolute best to provide great service to their customers. As an added bonus, they also have the BEST Brownies if you can possibly fit anything else in after breakfast/brunch/lunch.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic coffee and almond croissant recently, so delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and very professional. I highly recommend enjoying a coffee or meal here. Thank you so much Ellen and Rod Cafe, and team.

Welcoming staff, nice setting and great food. We had the eggs Benny and an avocado, halloumi toast. It was fantastic and the homemade hollindaise was also great! Well done team :)

Ordered a Banana smoothie and it tasted pretty much like straight Greek yoghurt, so then ordered a caramel milkshake to wash it down and it was room temp at best. Maybe I got these guys on a bad day (Easter Friday - it was very busy) because they have decent reviews but it was pretty bad. The staff were lovely though. Also only breakfast burger I’ve ever had that has lettuce and beetroot on it with no sauce, bit strange.

Ellen and Rod is our go to local for anything coffee/breakfast/lunch related. We have always found Pete and the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The coffee is the best we can find in Ipswich and the food is amazing! Great service and would not hesitate in recommending Ellen and Rod to anyone.

It was well worth the hour and forty five minute drive down from our place to “Ellen And Rod” at Ipswich. The coffee was outstanding. Two of our guests are true Coffee Connoisseurs one ordering a three shot expresso the other a five shot! These guys are super fussy and usually disappointed with their coffee purchases BUT today they were super impressed at just how good the coffee was. Our Mushroom, Haloumi and Scrambled Eggs on the most gorgeous thick Pumpkin Toast was simply divine, so tasty and flavoursome and cooked to absolute perfection. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and it was awesome to catch up with Chef PK in between his cooking food for and serving his customers. What a fabulous place thanks to PK and Jolie and staff. You guys rock! Next time you want a decent coffee and marvellous food, do yourselves a favour and head on down to “Ellen And Rod”..........

The atmosphere is very good, the staff are friendly and helpful, the coffee is very good, however I would only place the food in the good box.

I've had a couple of Almond milk coffees from Ellen and Rod and they have been really great! That's saying something since I am the world fussiest non-dairy coffee drinker . Today we had lunch and it was absolutely delightful! Very happy to recommend! I will be returning as often as I can to this little gem.

Our favourite breakfast spot in Ipswich. Great coffee and the best Eggs Benny with house made hollandaise sauce.

I had a late brunch at Ellen and Rod. The pumpkin sourdough bread was a nice addition to Pete's perfectly poached eggs. Jolie makes a great coffee and roasts her own beans. Well worth the trip from Brisbane for a relaxing visit with a couple of lovely people passionate about great food and coffee in Ipswich.
