Review Casual Coffee - Ipswich

Had the daily special. Chicken and avo crepe. Chips were chunky and hot. The crepe while nice was far from perfect. 7/10 would have been better if the chicken cheese and a roux of some sort were in the crepe with and then melted under a salamanda. With thw avo sliced over the top with maybe a aoli or bernaise sauce on top. Hint hint lol. But good portion of chicken and avo maybe the roux could have been cooked out a little more still floury But enjoyed our sneaky lunch on the go

Just had lunch at Casual Coffee. Eat here reasonably regularly. Food always good and great customer service. Highlight is the coffee. Up there with the best in town.

Staff were OK had a crape didn't find it as nice as it used to be bit dry, still edible however, 3rd member of our group had a club sandwich which she said was very good, drinks were also good.

Reasonable portions, food was really enjoyable! The pumpkin & chickpea pattie on the veggie burger is great. Also their garlic aioli is really tasty 👍

Well priced food in large portion. The best thickshake I have had in 50 years (yes true Henny Penny Coffs Harbour about 1974). Food a bit slow coming out, 20 minutes for two budgets and chips.

Lovely staff, very affordable lunch with the $10 burger and chips deal. Yummy burger, Lots of gravy with the chips and service was prompt and friendly.

Customer service is poor ..... staff have no clue what each other are doing and no communication skills. One staff member says one thing and mid order another staff member shuts the order down.

My wife and I have been here a number of times and will continue to do so . The best chicken parma in Ipswich , the mexicana being a favorite, priced extremely well and plentiful. The coffee is reasonably good , I feel the main let down is the generic deserts, a little more effort in sourcing a better range would attract more sweet tooths.

Brekky date and unfortunately, very underwhelmed this week.

We had stopped in here for a coffee a while ago and returned to try out their brekky menu. I'm going to be a little different and start with the not-so-positive element. The food.

Menu - generic, common, basic - you name it. I don't mind a simple menu but if it is going to be simple, make it EPIC. It was pretty much 3-4 ingredients made in about 8-9 different ways but seeing the food come out - it was basic. I ordered the ham, cheese and tomato omelette and a hash brown as a side. Nothing exciting or flavourful there. My hash brown was exactly what Maccas sell. I was so disappointed - no personal touch anywhere.

Coffee - ordered my usual mocha. My coffee was was really good - well balanced, strong coffee flavour with the perfect amount of chocolate.

Staff - I totally commend the staff. This place is constantly busy. Perfect location - it is the only cafe in the small block of shops here so there is constant traffic which is great for them. They had a great system going - two people making coffee, one serving customers at the counter and taking the dishes from the kitchen to the front counter for the table server to collect and take to their patrons. It works! We barely waited 20 mins for our food and coffee to arrive and despite not being all that pleased with my food, I cannot fault their service. Friendly, warm and courteous.

Not sure if I will be back for brekky but I would stop in again for a coffee.

Was very indecisive about this place but decided to go anyway, first of all price wise is brilliant but thats it. This cafe is to generic and trying to just be a big chain which means they fail to think outside the square and shows in the food. Watching the staff was wonderful, they worked there butts off to do their best for the customers, clearing tables, delivering food to tables and smashing out the coffee's, wonderful work team!

The menu was extremely basic and because of this I thought serving size would be limted but quiet the opposite, serving size was great however it is very evident that the baked beans are from a can hence the cheap prices, taste was as expected, it was "can like". The rest of the brekky was cooked surprisingly well and not burnt or overcooked in any way. only saving grace to this experience was the coffee and they nailed it, great coffee but basic food.

Amazing food... thats it. You guys probably do the best food and cold drinks in Ipswich, huge servings!!!! However you staff are horrible and unfriendly. You counter service is horendous, why hire staff that clearly dont want to be there. Your staff need a lesson in smiling and customer service. Learn to clear a table even if the customer is still sitting there.. no one wants to sit around there dirty plates and glasses! This cafe has potential, but can't move forward when your staff are unwilling. I can honestly not say anything positive about your staff when they are so sour. Either train them properly in customer service or get rid of them!!!
