We have been here twice, and enjoyed fantastic and authentic Italian fare, at very reasonable prices. The pizzas are deliciously mouthwatering, and very filling for $15, and we were able to take our leftovers home to enjoy the next day. We didn't wait long for our orders, and staff are friendly and helpful, with food served, hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The setting, under the beams at the old flourmill, with an oldworlde atmosphere exuding lots of charm and rustic character, was quite unique for our dining experience. We highly recomend Padrinos Italian, and we will definitely be back there again in future.

The best thing I can say about the meal was that it was on time. We ordered through Menulog and they didn't have one of our entrees, which we were able to substitute. Unfortunately the mushroom caps were extremely disappointing. The pizza bread was the best thing out of the meal. The pizzas themselves were lukewarm, and had an ingredient we specified to avoid. Additionally the mushroom pizza had mostly undercooked mushrooms. We definitely could have made better at home. A real disappointment.

We had a function for our family in the private function room to celebrate my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. The staff could not do enough for us and everything we wanted we received with a gracious smile. The food was wonderful and service was exceptional and prices were very reasonable. We chose from the cheaper tier of the set menu but found this was more than wonderful. My parents' had the most wonderful memorable night. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Yvonne Veivers

Having eaten here some time ago, I was a bit dissapointed with my meal here. Although the food tasted pretty good, the portion sizes were small, and the service, although friendly, was very slow. I felt there weren't enough servers for size of the restaurant and the meals are on the pricey side.

Okay so I'm new to Ipswich and expecting the same old pasta ordered from Viva Italia, before we even left with our takeaway tonight we'd decided we were coming back because the service from the lady who greeted us was just amazing. Then we got home........ To my horror I discovered this was the first time I've had actual pasta in my life, this pasta is what travellers talk about, this is I'm in Italy pasta, this is what Julia Roberts is describing in eat pray love, this pasta inspired me to write my first ever Google review! And it's a positive one!!! On point Viva Italia. I'm assembling the masses and we'll be back!!!!

Our family pops by here maybe once a year when we're in the area. The menu is varied and you're likely to find something interesting you'd enjoy. The food can be somewhat plain at times and overpriced, and quite often I've found the pasta to be a little overcooked. Regardless, it's a nice family restaurant in a lovely setting in the heart of Ipswich.

Utterly terrible service. Myself and my girlfriend waited 80 minutes for a meal we had to still pay for in full bar drinks and received passive aggressive comments from the second waitress and cold looks from the chef. Disgusting. Utterly disgusted. But hey i got my food right? one star.
