Review Cosi Duci - Ivanhoe

Undoubtedly the best gelato place in Melbourne. It’s a stone throw away from the CBD and by far my favorite. It’s family own and they make the ice cream on site with ORGANIC milk. Must try flavors are the Mango and Panda Cotta but all are just as good. They do come up with new flavors every once in a while. Definitely would recommend!

The Ferrero ice cream will take your socks off!!! All the other one rae fantastic too but the Ferrero one is divine

Delicious!! Adorable little shop, friendly owners. We had the vanilla caramelised fig - soo yummy. And such a generous serving too, even with just the single serve. A little on the pricey side, but worth it. They also had gluten free waffle cones for an extra $1 which is amazing - I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before! And they were good GF waffle cones. Will definitely be coming back 😋

Probably the best gelato I’ve had in Melbourne. Locally owned and the service is impeccable! The mango gelato tasted like fresh mangoes and was super refreshing, the scoops were very generous. Can’t wait to go back and taste more flavours!

Received a beautiful tub of gelato from here for my birthday and it took my right back to my school days when I would beg my mum to take me to Cosi Duci! So happy to have rediscovered this local spot - the best gelato spot in Melbourne. Cannot wait to visit more now that it's warming up!

The gelato was amazing, had a two scoop waffle cone with the panna cotta and cookies flavour. This place has been around for 19 years and still very generous with their portions.

After coming here the last 12 years...It’s still the best in Melbourne. Traditional high quality Italian ice cream and yoghurts... sometimes even using home grown ingredients!

Cosi Duci has been keeping the population of Ivanhoe happy for over a decade. Melbourne has a few quiet neighbourhood achievers like Cosi Duci that have been producing small-scale gelati for many years. They may not be big on social media, but that sort of longevity indicates that they know their market well.<br/><br/>It’s not flashy but is very popular with the locals. Generous serves, friendly service, traditional-style gelati.

Have been here a few times over the years. It is a bit of hit and miss with the flavours. On our most recent visit we tried the Tiramisu and Mint. Unfortunately we felt these lacked flavour. The Tiramisu just tasted like vanilla ice cream and the mint had a slight mint flavour but not very strong at all. I prefer my gelato to have strong flavours however perhaps that might just be me. There are a variety of flavours and no doubt I will try others as I have had some yummy experiences here.

As someone who no longer eats sugar... I drool every time I walk past here. An every changing taste sensation awaits all those who enter. If I was to destroy my diet this would be one of the places I would do it.

Being of Italian origin myself, and a lover of gelato, this place is easily the closest you will ever get to hand made southern italian style gelato in Melbourne. They even used to have gelato with heated brioche bun that no other gelateria in Melbourne offers (other places give you unheated brioche). Go there and enjoy!

Best gelato in Melbourne! There is always a nice variety of quality flavors to choose from. The shop is always super clean and the staff are lovely.

Are they ever bloody open? Every time we go it is shut. And for those rare occasions it has been open, the owners were rude and arrogant!!!<br/>

Have been here regularly for after dinner treats. Never disappoint. Friendly staff and nice dessert. Can never go passed the sorbet! Delicious. Will keep on returning .

Go elsewhere. I got a medium cup, which instead should be called a tiny. Service was unfriendly and the gelato serving size incredibly disappointing for the price. The lady serving couldn't seem to scrap enough off the spoon back into the tub before 'filling' my tiny cup. The gelato itself was no doubt high quality, but for a truly top-shelf product AND value for money AND great service go instead to Il Melograno in Northcote.

I love Gelato.. Went there one night while they were closing the door for the night, the owner was more than happy to let us in.<br/><br/>The gelato was pretty nice I had the raspberry (I think.. It was red!!) and lemon & lime... WOW, they were pretty good.<br/><br/>Wife had Chocolate and lime.. She said the Chocolate was pretty impressive!

Forget Gelato Messina this place has the most amazing gelato in Melbourne, hands down. And no queues or yuppies who just want to tell their friends they have been

Best gelato in Melbourne. I am Italian and biased towards good Italian gelato, I have tried numerous gelaterie and none come close to Cosi Duci, they offer the best possible selection in taste and variety in Melbourne. All the gelati are made on the premisies and the owner can often be seen coming in the early morning to prepare the daily choice. The service is very friendly and homely. Do yourself a favour and try it out on the spot or take a home pack and taste the gelato with friends.

Nice enough icecream - RUDE OWNER - never going back!. We have gone here a number of times as we live in the area. One night during a long string of 40+ days in Melbourne a large group of families thought we would pop and grab cone or two. We arrived just after 9pm with the door still open, but chairs being packed away into the cafe. Asked if they were still open - yes. I mentioned that there would be a quite a number of us arriving to which the guy very roughly said that we had better be quick because they were closing..oh ok, told the kids to start picking their flavours. Mentioned that its so hard because it all tastes so good. Again he glared at me and told me to hurry up because they were closing in 20 mins! Confused we turned and left. He was rude, arrogant and lost out on a $200 sale...now we know this because we headed to Cold Rock up the road (no not as nice, but it was hot and we promised the kids icecream!) NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THIS SHOP..shame because the icecream is nice - but Fairy Hills icecream is much better!!

Best in Melbourne. For the best gelato in Melbourne you can't go past Cosi Duci, taste buds dancing every time we indulge. Have tried the ever famous Mes.... it really doesn't come close , actually quite disgusting. Cosi Duci is my favourite place ever !!!!

Cold deliciousness in the 'burbs!. Lovely, smooth gelati. Friendly, family style service. Highly recommend the salted caramel (made with Maldon Sea Salt) & the textural coconut! They do a egg / dairy free dark chocolate & it's all churned on site which distinguishes them from tasting like 'just another gelati shop'. Something for everyone. I loved it!

I am about to undertake my own personal search for Melbourne's best gelato. Cosi Duci will be hard to beat. It truly is fabulous and all made by charming Italian-Australians in Ivanhoe.

I have been to many places that are supposedly the best ice-cream or gelato in Melbourne (these include many places on Lygon) but none compare to Cosi Duci. The flavours at this place are exquisite and simply divine. I could not recommend it more highly.

Cosi Dulci is the best gelati around this end of town. Great selection of flavours and the staff are always so friendly. Opening hours vary, so sometimes you have to be careful.
