Bright pleasant cafe with tables spaced apart a little. Service was pleasant and efficient. The Signature Avocado Smash was good but the nachos only average. Coffee was good and the lemon cheesecake excellent.

Good place for a hot coffee on a rainy day! I was there briefly recently and the waitress attendant was most helpful in finding my dropped key ring before I was even aware I had lost it. Cheers!

Fabulous cafΓ© in Ivanhoe village. Peter and his whole staff are amazing. Quality of service, beautiful food. Thanks to Tash this morning who delivered the most perfect hospitality to my friend Martin and I π wonderful breakfast!

My daughter took me for an early Mother's day brunch and the service was outstanding, the food delicious and the tea and coffee perfect. Thanks to the staff we had a very pleasant afternoon out, it was great not to be rushed out of the door, like a lot of other cafes. I would highly recommend Deganis Ivanhoe. :D

Just saw management tell off a young mother with two kids for bringing in outside food for her baby! Apparently the high chairs are a pain to clean afterwards. Here's an idea.. Don't list your Cafe as 'family friendly' and certainly don't operate in a suburb like Ivanhoe if you don't wish to deal with babies and children. As a parent myself and a business owner I find this to be disgusting behaviour. Save your money for one of the many Ivanhoe establishments who welcome the business rather than shame you for having a young family.

Lovely staff, good coffee. Okay food. Staff is happy to accommodate any special requests for food. <br/>Unfortunately, grumpy customers are found here a few too many times for my liking who keep giving stinkeye to young children. But it was my go to Cafe for a coffee and brekky since before I had a bub. We still enjoy it despite the grumpy eyerolls.

Ordered chicken club sandwich and couldn't find any chicken in it.<br/>My wife had smashed avocado with poached eggs. The egg whites were clear and runny and the Feta in the avocado tasted old. She couldn't eat it.<br/>Didn't bother asking to get re-cooked as we were in a hurry and couldn't wait another 10 minutes.<br/>Our daughter enjoyed her pie.

My family and I had morning tea here on Christmas Eve. The place was busy and the staff very friendly.<br/><br/>The coffee was slightly better than what you would typically expect from a Degani's / shopping centre cafe, so no real complaints there. The biscuits we had were OK, a little bit dry, but again to be expected in a chain cafe.<br/><br/>In all, probably one of the better Degani outlets .

For a mall coffee house it's always busy and the coffee is pretty good. The staff are nice and they have occasional coffee specials that are worth watching out for.<br/>Give it a go when you are next down the hoeπ!

Be careful how you speak to your loyal customers.. I was with a family member having coffee and a meal today and there was a mix up with the order. A senior female staff member approached our table and basically told me I hadn't ordered correctly. This was her version of what happened and not mine. I didn't say anything at the time but I offered to pay any extra for the mix up. I was certainly unimpressed with being spoken to like that and my young companion also commented on how inappropriate her behaviour was. There are too many cafes in Ivanhoe with great coffee to treat your regular customers like this. I won't be back.

Poor behavior and customer service and no no not atall child friendly<br/>Grumpy mannerless young barista staff <br/>Shame on u degani cafe . Will never go back and discourage everyone with little kids not to go to the cafe please .

A handy stop-off when you're shopping at Coles. <br/>Since the Degani facelift and new ownership a couple of years ago I have been a regular here. The staff are very polite and friendly, especially to mums with kids and the coffee is good. In agreement with the other recent reviewer, there are sometimes some grumpy customers in here, but I usually just ignore them! I always feel comfortable because I know the staff are so welcoming.
