I hadn’t been in years but went last night for the Christmas celebration. All I can say was that we had an amazing night. The food was fantastic and the kids meals were great. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The playground area was a great addition and we were surprised that it was ready. Will definitely be coming back again.
Sensational day with friends and Carol Tawell was wonderful. We intend returning in June with a larger group. The service and the staff were excellent

Dinner was fantastic, great food, great service. We headed to the front bar to listen to Lisa Asta sing. Amazing! Lisa can sing anything and what a voice. Loved her and had a great night.

Very impressed! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here one Tuesday night. It wasn’t very busy so we grabbed a good table right near the window.
It was a good meal and the standout dish was the polenta chips!

Got to say that I came out impressed. I went there for a cheeky beer with a mate before a work dinner. The front bar was filled with some rather older fellow and I didn't think the place would be that great. A sliver of hope came when we ordered a bowl of chips...crunchy and lovely! Went through and ordered an eye fillet steak-rare. When it came out, the steak was cooked beautifully. Couldn't fault it for flavour too. Very enjoyable. I'll be back and you should get there!
What a transformation...from a very average pub to a great and stylish restaurant specialising in delicious little share plates, steaks and one of the best parmas in the area. Will def be back!
Went for a family dinner and what can I say - awesome experience. The kids menu was great with so much variety which is a nice change! The adults had lemon pepper calamari which was beautiful and tender. The t bone was perfectly cooked on this awesome parilla grill that they have. Prices are great and also serving sizes are also good! Worth a visit - we are definitely going again!!!

Well had a nice fish meal (friends had battered fish) all eaten alfresco on a delightful summer evening in the swinging suburb of Ivanhoe; felt the closest to being a neohipster than I have ever felt.
Great experience every time we have been. Nice size meals, quick service and best cakes around. Even gave our 1 yr old an activity pack and free frog in the pond.
Ignore the negative reviews. The meals are fine here. Just been here for a 90th birthday. About 70 people in our party. Good level of satisfaction with the food. It's pub food so don't expect fine dining and intricate delicacies. I had the roast pork. It was perfectly adequate. The staff were good too. I'd be happy to return.
Classic pub grub in suburbia. Maybe slightly pricey for what they are doing, but they are consistent with what they do which is good. One thing, I think their meal servings are too large... Eg a chicken Parma is way too much for anyone on the right side of 100kg.
Apart from that, pretty good stuff
Good if you're looking for a quick, big meal. Atmosphere is lacking, but staff are friendly and efficient.
Good night out. Went on a friday night and used an entertainment guide coupon buy one main meal get one free.
Place was full, however meal came out in good time.
Ordered the triple stacked chicken parmigiana and was quite impressed. Nice thick breast pieces of chicken, crispy on outside and moist throughout with good flavour to sauce and enough but not too much cheese.
Couldn't finish all of it and was left feeling very satisfied!!!

The food is usually pretty good but overprized. Service really depends on the day.
Very nice place staff were accommodating and friendly food was great.
Great for kids with the play area. The food is really top notch, tastes fantastic and is well presented. The only thing that is disappointing is that the dining area doesn't open until 5pm, so getting there earlier and settling in with young kids so they can have a play before dinner is delayed.
Otherwise great, relaxing, easy and the staff are wonderful.

Pub food on a busy Australia Day, definitely wasn't looking forward to it. What a pleasant surprise, the food warrants 3 stars, impressed too that not ordered together it all came out at the same time.
I gave it an extra star for atmosphere (child friendly with playroom and face painter available) and very pleasant staff. Such a change from backpacker service, these 'kids' aren't hospitality professionals but they make up for it in politeness and attentiveness. Anyone says 'pub food' to me again, this is my place of choice!!
I have lived nearby for a total of about 2 years now and ventured in to the hotel for the first time on the weekend. Fantastic food, I had the roast beef, the serving was huge with a massive volume of fresh vegetables. The staff are enthusiastic and always willing to help.
Upon leaving I said to my partner 'we need to come here more often'!
