Review Nando's - Ivanhoe

Usual Nando's fare. I like that your food is freshly prepared. The restaurant is tired-looking...very 90's and worn. I expected a little more considering their higher prices.

Very less quantity of food it's just straight half of the meal like I m big fan of paella and chips I always get half bowl of paella every time i have been couple of times but quantity remains same(less).

It's Nandos. So not much to say. They offer bottles of water and cups for free so it is worth eating in. Food is always good. Service prompt and friendly.

The woman who served me was very warm and genuine, and the food here is always splendid! I go to this Nando's above others in the area because of the staff :)

Found the store really not up to part with what Nandos usually is, the food was alright but overall I'm disappointed with the staff management. I noticed that the Manager was really touchy with the staff mostly underage girls making them uncomfortable it was actually pretty disgusting to see.

Was quite disappointed overall by the service here. Although the food wasn't bad, this Nandos store proved to be very unsatisfactory. I found that some of the employees there seemed quite uncomfortable with the management there, particularly young girls working there. I deem that as very unprofessional and not a proper dining environment for a customer. <br/><br/>I'll try a different store in the future.

I normally love Nando's, but the Ivanhoe outlet is a bit disappointing.  The much loved peri-peri flavour was there in the chicken, but the chips were soggy, under-seasoned and tasted as though the cooking oil needed to be replaced.  Portion sizes for both chips and burger fillings were significantly smaller than Nando's usual.  The scrawny little thigh we were served as a 'quarter' chicken was also a let down.  I realise chickens aren't all the same size, but this drumstick had me wondering whether a quail had been grilled by mistake (... an exaggeration, but it was small)  I doubt it would take much for this restaurant to come up to scratch, but considering the number of options in Ivanhoe, I'll probably try something new next time.

I have never seen such ad rude people in this business at all .<br/>they served us almost cold cold chicken although when have ordered some drink with food but when we asked them a jar of water , the owner brough us a tap water that was warn in a very hot day.<br/>no customer service at all , neither humanity .<br/>not sure where they came from but wrong people at nandos food business

Nandos used to be great, over the years it just gets worse. This store has lowered quality consistently...the food: the chicken in the burgers is so minimal you'd be forgiven if you thought you'd ordered vegitarian. Product: Why have a nandos franchise if you wont serve the dishes that are part of the whole brand? I tried ordering a burger that had bacon, but was told they where halal and had such burger, mind you it was on the menu. Another reviewer mentioned people coming and going from the kitchen that weren't staff ive seen this many times here too, the same people fiddle with the food prep areas too. Unfortunately ive seen this in a number of food businesses. Ive also been in for a late order when i witnesses a staff member stand on the front grill to clean the overhead extractor, anyone taste rubber in their burger? Get your franchises under control Nandos.

The food here isn't the issue... Very unprofessionally run! Like someone's house. People coming in and out through the side door and into kitchen. Sitting there eating with my family wondering, who's cooking my food and whether hands have been washed!!!! Won't be going back.

Best Nando's in Melbourne by far! Chips and spicy rice are always cooked on point every time. Restaurant is clean and service is good

Disappointing. Nando's at The Pines, Doncaster East is FAR superior, with proper Portuguese buns with the burgers, and a decent piece of breast fillet, filled to bursting with fresh salad and tomato. Fries are well cooked and crunchy. Worth the trip.

Most other Nandos have bacon... Yet this one doesn't.<br/><br/>Can't beat bacon on a burger with cheese... Disappointing.

Pass the periperi. Great consistent Nando's. Clean, fast and friendly staff

9/10 - Best Nando's in Melbourne. People might think that because it is a part of a franchise, all Nando's restaurants are the same. The Nando's in Ivanhoe is a stand out, the service is faster and friendlier, the food tastes better and the restaurant is always clean. Can't go wrong with Nando's in Ivanhoe! <br/><br/>Food: 10/10<br/>Service: 10/10<br/>Ambience: 8/10<br/>Price: 8/10

Food is great from Nando's generally and consistently. However three out of three times I've ordered peri-peri chips they have been plain - incredibly annoying!!!!! I would suggest you buy your own and apply it as there seems to be a problem to get the order right....
