Steak was soft and cooked to my liking. Overall, very tasty. Food came out very quickly with good service. The specials were also quite nice with unique flavours and adequate servings. A pleasant experience overall.

I go here with 4 friends every 5 weeks or so and have been doing so for a few years now. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the food delicious. I was chuffed on Monday when I was served my apple pie with a candle in it by the waitress. She'd noticed my pile of cards and presents from my friends and took it on herself to make me feel special :)

First of all I would like to just state this place is 10/10 in my eyes. My sister and I came here for food and drinks, I haven’t been here for 3 years as I live in the uk, our first stop was the toilets they were very clean and smelt amazing. We were then greeted by a lovely lady who was working the bar area, she was really helpful. We decided to have martini espresso cocktails one decafe and that was no problem for the owner to do for us. We also ordered a bottle of wine a New Zealand white wine after having a taste test which was lovely. We then placed our food order we had the goat samosa as a starter to share it was the most delicious starter I’ve ever had. The sauce on it was amazing. We had tried to order ribs which was a special but they were all sold out so we chose the chicken Palme and the pork noodles and we split both meals. The meals were to die for! Absolutely 10/10 gorgeous food. Our cocktails were so good that we didnt drink them right away we waited till after I food to enjoy them as a pudding as they were so nice. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s the nicest food I’ve ever eaten in my whole Australian stay. And we will 100% be back. The staff were great even made a cocktail for us recommended by the head chef which wasn’t on the menu. And it was no trouble for the owner. Thank you all very much for your hospitality to myself and sister.

Stood for approx 10 mins waiting to be seated. Wanted red wine told the barmaid it was corked, " what does that mean" and sir I don't drink wine but there is nothing wrong with it. Must say food is lovely as ever, but the service isn't Also had to walk through smoke to get in and out. Toilets were filthy. Not the old Bailey it used to be, shame!!!

Under new management, normally buzzing, but was nearly empty. Menu was quite small and unimaginative. Apparently all new staff & kitchen. All male waiters who tried hard but obviously inexperienced. Food was ok but disjointed. I hope they get their act together.

Went on a Wednesday Night. Live music was good, food was pretty good. They have some very good value specials. Kids eat free (Kids Meals) with paying Adult (has to be a full price meal).

Staff are great, but the restaurant was poorly lit. You have to walk through the smoking section to get in/out. Drinks aren't anything special. Menu has an insane amount of spelling mistakes. Do not recommend....unless you're a bogan with no teeth and lots of tats.

Your usual British style pub. Lots of specials during the week definitely worth trying. Friendly staff, will try this place again for a better review

My husband and I ate here for dinner recently. The restaurant was empty so we were seated quickly. Had the 4 cheese croquettes as an entree. The croquettes were really nice but the sauce/chutney was even better. Our mains took approximately 30 min to come out which was weird considering we were the only ones dining. I also couldn't help but notice alot of the staff standing around with nothing to do. Regardless, I had the barramundi which was nice but lacked some seasoning. My husband had the ribs which were cooked perfectly however the sauce was a little too sickly sweet. All in all was a nice meal.

Greeted with, "sit where you want, order at the counter". I would say we were seated under a speaker but music was too loud as I moved around to order. Waitress who took my order was kurt "table number?" , she knew I was a table of 4 but from the moment I ordered the first dish she insisted "anything else!" Politely mentioned yes there is more, we are four, kept up the "anything else" clueless about the menu, no idea about if serving sizes where suitable to share, didn't bother to further enqire in the end.<br/>My children ate free with each main meal, fish and chips, chips where dry, fish was crisp and moist.<br/>I ordered salt and pepper squid, menu read it was served with a fennel citrus salad, lime aioli. I was expecting a fresh fennel salad with seasoned squid, actually got over salted limp squid with a lettuce salad maybe one bit of fennel and a whole lot of chips, which were not even mentioned.<br/>My husband had the beef and reef, which he enjoyed, meals could have easily been enhanced with some fresh veg or salads, this really let the overall satisfaction down.<br/>Did not enjoy the environment, Tuesday night dinner with my sons, heard the word F##K several times with music, really not appropriate.<br/>Definitely would not return or recommend.

We went here for lunch today and I was so impressed! I absolutely loved every piece of food that went in my mouth. The atmosphere was so nice and relaxed. The staff were friendly. I didn't want to go home. It's a pity that I live so far away or else I'd be there every day
Dpizzy
This place is nice for a Sunday drink if you don't mind a fair bit of noise. It's a chilled out atmosphere. Also good if there is a sporting event on

I've been to The Bailey heaps of times. It's one of my locals. I've enjoyed most meals here but it's always been standard pub fare until just now. I want to say 'new chef': the menu is the same but now 2 nights in a row I've been electrified by the presentation and the taste of the same old menu I've been pillaging for the last 2years. The screens here hint at a new menu which I read as 'new chef' and really, I'm excited! This will be my go-to now instead of my alternative.

I was a bit concerned about previous reviews however we couldn't have asked for much better.  Most of the staff (except for one rude lady at the bar) were friendly, efficient and helpful. I had the steak and it was absolutely delicious!  My husband had the chicken parmigana and he did say it didn't have a lot of sauce, but wasn't unhappy. The staff were very happy for us to bring our own cake in, and checked with us if we were ready for it.Overall very happy and would return!

We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night & there wasn't much atmosphere at first (it's a big place!) but it got busy quite quickly. The food was surprisingly good; I had a steak & it was cooked perfectly. The drinks were reasonably priced ($26 for house sparkling was great value). And then at 9 the band Hi-NRG came on & brought the house down. Top night!

Terrible service no specials<br/>My husband and I went there last night with our friends as it was our friends birthday. We checked on the net for the specials and $17 rump and chicken breast was clearly advertised. Firstly our friend wanted a glass of Amberley Chenin Blanc  and the young girl behind the bar said she had never heard of it. When  we looked  it was at the bottom of the list. The girl was not bothered and not interested. Then we asked the surly waitress if we could order the specials of rump. She said they didn't have specials and the steaks would oost us $28. We told her the steaks advertised on a Wednesday night were the $17 rumps and we wanted 4 of those. By this time another waitress came to our table and told us no steaks as they did not get a delivery. We then had to ask for the Manager. After a long wait an older woman who claimed she was in charge came to,our table. We then again asked for the steaks and was told no steaks as there was no delivery. We said well why did you not ,take it off the net as it was misleading and the only reason we came was it was our friends birthday and we wanted somewhere close where we could get a reasonable meal. My husband asked what was the difference with the $28 rumps and was told there were larger and the woman said literally to my husband well obviously that was the reason they were $28 and not cheaper like the $17 ones, leading us,to believe you get a rubbish steak if you have the cheaper one. The way this woman spoke to my husband was as if she thought he was dim. Her attitude stunk. We asked as a gesture if we could have the steaks as nothing was as advertised on the net as specials. By this time the woman was not interested and started to walk away. I continued talking to her and told her she was being very rude to my husband and he was not dim or stupid . She had a grin  on her face as she walked away. The customer service was awful . We all walked out at 7.45 and will not return again and we will tell, our friends etc not to bother either.<br/>Very unhappy and disgruntled customers who, live in the northern suburbs

An old favourite in the Joondalup area. Very English vibe, the drinks range is good and generally all the old favourite meals you would expect to find in this style of pub are quite tasty
The Food-Loving Family
Loud. Unhelpful miserable staff. Unorganised. 3 confusing menus. Tables crammed too close together. Slow service. However food was tasty and portions were generous!
IanM
Very possibly the worst place to eat in Joondalup. Found the food to be poor and tasteless, waitress tried her best but this is really lipstick on a pig.
Perthpot
Went there on a quiet week night, found one of the staff members quite rude for no reason.. Food was average.

Yum, yum, yum. Cannot fault this place, just went there last night (Thursday), food is awesome and I've just come back from a trip in America/New York where the food is amazing, so I think 'awesome is just below 'amazing'. I had the linguine with prawns and bacon, so yum, shared half with my friend, she wouldn't give it back to me! She had the goats cheese tart which was delicious too. Everyone's meal looked so good, wanted to try it all. Not sure about the bad reviews, maybe different chefs on a different night. I went here last September too and the food was just as good. :)

Dont go. Was at a birthday function there on Saturday afternoon. I was told by another guest that roast beef rolls were on the food provided, so was looking forward to that as I had come from work and was starving - slabs of roast beef came out - no rolls - we had to pick up a slice of beef with our fingers and dip it in some kind of sauce - not gravy - tiny rolls eventually arrived, so we had to butter our own rolls and put the meat on - not very ideal at a bar table, where their were other guests sitting. Then the rolls ran out... The final insult was - at the end of the day $1 was added to the price of all pints!!!!!!! Obviously assumed we would all be too drunk to notice

Nothing to write home about. I won't sugar coat it. <br/>Average service, old-old-school (borderline shady) atmosphere, quite basic, characteristics of the venue are defiantly from established concepts. You can defiantly tell you're in an English pub, whether thats your style or not, so be it. <br/>Was only in for a short time, but I can say that the wine list lacks variety in all white, red and bubble department. The choice of beers on tap doesn't venture outside mainstream beers with only 1 or 2 local Perth brews on offer, perhaps this reflects the clientele. Call me over the top, but even the house spirits tasted a tad funny to me. There is tricks in every trade.<br/>Lunch special was appropriately priced and didn't taste bad at all, $13.50 for the steak sandwich + chips. <br/>I would avoid this place on a special night/occasion. I would visit if everywhere else was closed, I was staying down the road, all that I had to wear was my cleanest dirty shirt and the mass company of friends got me through the doors. <br/>It's okay, but not for me.
Taryn
Had seafood basket very lacking on quantity and quality forty dollars of poor food

Rubbish. Dark & dingy. $1 f.... Rubbish. Dark & dingy.<br/>$1 for tomato sauce, we were the only people in there when we sat down, what was the Christmas function food going to be like?? Waste of money.
Tracy465
Cramped customer dissatisfaction. Tuesday night we requested a table for four people. We sat at a table and were asked to move to a smaller table as there were only four of us on a table that seats six. The place was deserted. Our order was for four mains and a pizza to share. Water glasses, salt and pepper, wine bottle and side plates had to be put on the floor while we ate on a very cramped table. Wouldn't have minded if they were busy but original table was still vacant as were at least seven other larger tables when we left. Unfortunately the food isn't special enough for us to overlook unfriendly/unhelpful floor staff who just don't care . We were regular Tuesday diners but wont bother going there again.
Good Times
Very enjoyable. I am a chef that looks after 3 similar restaurants to the Bailey. I even worked at the Bailey about 8 years ago.<br/>Service was quick and came with a smile. Food was tasty, moist and plenty of it without being full of rabbit food like other English pubs.<br/>Compliments to the chef and the floorstaff.<br/>Thankyou
Alan29
Oh dear, what a let down.. The Mrs had fish and chips not long ago....3 bits of fish which looked like they came out of a frozen food pack from Coles where they charge 5 bucks for 6 pieces. <br/>I had a burger and it truly was the worst I've ever had, dry tasteless beef and a soggy bun.<br/>People next to us had the meat pie and complained it was full of gristle. Their money was refunded with apologies.<br/>On a recent Friday night the performance from one of the bar stuff was disgusting.....other staff members came in for a drink and he ran around making drinks from about every bottle on a shelf. Talk about responsible service of alcohol! Idiot.<br/>Then at lunch time recently 2 blokes, builders oiks from the look of them, went into the disabled toilet together....and came out separately about 10 mins later. :-)<br/>Used to be quite good pub but has really gone down hill. Won't be going back as there are plenty of pubs around.<br/>A.

Bad. The vinegar was served in a sugar dispenser and had something living in it,which the waitress explained away as egg white???? The side salad was swimming in dressing, and my husbands lunch special of pizza wasn't being served until 5pm??????? The lasagna was beyond microwave average, we left and ate somewhere else.

Bar Staff incredibly rude. Usually go Monday nights for $10 steak special which is on/off. Waitresses are usually nice enough, but don't know that it's rude to take plates when the whole table hasn't finished eating. Last Monday night my partner was served by a woman behind the bar whilst I ordered food. He asked for vodka lemon lime bitters for me and a peroni for himself. When I tried it it had no lemonade in it so tasted funny. I decided to go back to the bar and was served by a young guy in his 20s. He was rude about serving me and said 'we shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes in ordering' - I was shocked as what my partner had ordered was made wrong by the bar staff (he always orders this drink for me). We have transferred our weekly business to Paddy Malone's down the road as the service is much more friendly.

Don't know what happened.... We used to come here all the time. While the food had never been amazing, it had at least been decent. Today, my family was here and ordered: seafood pizza, scotch fillet, chicken parmi, seafood chowder and a cauliflower soup.<br/>The best thing about the meal was the jug of lemon and lime bitters.<br/>I won't go into too much detail but the food ranged from almost tasteless to having way too much salt. The steak was also very tough despite it having been ordered rare.<br/><br/>My family was very disappointed because this place was always an option for a decent dinner but the quality has declined greatly over the year.

Really yummy meals. We came in for a work lunch yesterday for the second time. Food was great as usual. I ordered the rump steak with grilled prawns and the others ordered the barramundi, sticky ribs and the fishermans basket. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I've been working in hospitality as a side job for 3 years so had a little bit to say about the service, however we enjoyed everything and will definitely be back!

Food has gone downhill. I ordered a coffee and a cesar salad. My coffee came out 50 minutes AFTER my meal did. I had to ask twice where it was and when it did come I was given the wrong coffee. The chicken was dry and there was large bits of garlic throughout the salad. The price is too high for bad food. Go back to how you used to do it
Wendy
Went for birthday dinner and what a disappointment. Chicken caesar salad is awful, dry warmed up bits of chicken, very hard boiled egg ( thought it should be soft poaced egg) and lettuce that tasted of nothing but water as all the dressing was at the bottom of the dish! The worst think though was being told to choose something else from the menu as thay wouldn't replace my salad because it would be the same!! I agree totally about no customer service, asked for manager and was told she is busy.Asked for my money back and left. Save your money and go somewhere else, I will.

Would not return for a meal after Sunday lunch, the pork was inedible due to being so tough, complained but only got a apology

Mrs Mac. My daughter and I ate there recently. We shared a plate of juicy oysters, then she had the steak cooked to her liking and I had the garlic prawns. Both happy with our meals and cocktails. We stayed for the music for a while, had a good night out and will go back soon.
Youngin Of Perth
Waste of time. Way too loud music (even at 22 I found it unbearably loud), terrible music and live band was shocking. Staff were extremely rude and pushy. Glasses and plates left on tables for over an hour after finished and people had left. Felt bad for the people trying to eat dinner with all the noise and people dancing literally right next to them as they ate. Drinks insanely overpriced
Charlie
When I told the waitress I had a booking for four she pointed to a table and said "that's yours" and walked off. We waited for another waiter who seated us at a table away from the band who was playing so loud you couldn't hear eachother talk. It was $10 night so I ordered the steak medium rare it came out straight away well before my guests received their meals so they where left sitting there while I was eating. I took it to the counter as there was no waiter in sight and she told me "oh that's how out chefs do medium rare" and I said well it's rare so she took it back and they just threw it back on the grill. The service was poor the waiters where in attentive and bored overall it wasn't a good experience
Emma Jarvie
We went to the Bailey Tuesday night prior to a movie. We had heard good things. My husbands parmagiana was fine but my seafood linguine was atrocious. Someone should tell the chef that grated cheese then melted into a blob on top has no place in a seafood dish unless it's a pie. It was also so heavy with chillis you couldnt taste anything else and I love chilli. And finally FROZEN SCALLOPS have no flabour and added nothing to this dish. Service was great and atmosphere on karaoke night good too. Stick to pub grub here and dont bother with the linguine.
PeterP
The food here is below sub standard. I really wouldn't feed this cr@p to my dog. The staff are so bad it's almost funny. Probably the rudest staff in Perth - and that's being nice. I think the owners should re think their careers because hospitality isn't for them. Did I mention the awful food? And the terrible staff? Not the sort of place I'd recommend to Any human being
Sharon
The specials are good value , we had $10 steak which is ok quality but the singer who is on a Monday is overbearingly loud, trying to have a conversation and you have to shout. The waitress also clearing plates off our table while I was still eating which is rude they can wait a few minutes
Hayley G
Everytime we go here the food is fantastic and the staff are friendly. We will continue to enjoy the lovely atmosphere and wonderful food
Carol.bait89
Dissapointed. Stopped in here for a drink before we went out for dinner as we have just moved to the area and I must say I won't be coming back here. The atmosphere, or lack there of, and the staff aren't very polite. I asked to try a bit of wine before I brought the whole bottle, to which the bar tender gave me a funny look!
Dan
It was good. The food was really tasty and the presentation was awesome. Good job!
LucyK
We came in last night as told about it by friends. Great value food and a good atmosphere. Only let down would be the unnecessary attitude of some of the waiters. Apart from that a good night
Brampta
Surprisingly tasty and good value. My friend and I caught up for dinner at the Bailey for dinner last night. I hadn't been there for at least 10 years probably and was pleasantly surprised, by both the service and the food. The staff were very polite and helpful; it was a Saturday night so there were plenty of specials. My friend and I chose from these and we weren't disappointed. Food was plentiful and delicious - good value for money.

Not a great expereince. I would never go to the Bailey Bar and Bistro again after the poor service we received last night! Going out for dinner is a special occasion and we went for my mums birthday... it wasn't a great night as all our meals were mixed up and wrong, our entrée came out wrong, the waitress that served us argued that it wasn't wrong and we read the menu wrong! I asked for sauce with my chips and got told it would cost $5.50! I requested the birthday cake I prearranged to come out 15 minutes after our mains... After I requested the cake to come out twice because it didn't come out... i found out the staff had lost the cake! We complained to the waitress and she didn't even care. Therefore I will never recommend anyone to eat there ever!
Fitchie
Rude Waiter!!!. After trying to attract the attention of a waiter. I finally lifted my hand to indicate I needed something. He looked over and proceeded to walk tho the kitchen. I assumed he would tell someone if he was busy. But, no he did not. When my son went up to get a waiter. He proceeded then to make his way to our table. I told him he was not needed. I explained to the waitress that I called him and felt he ignored us.<br/>She took our meal back to put in takeaway container. He then came out and in a loud and abrupt voice at my table explained that he wasn't ignoring us but didn't see us. I asked on numerous occasions to to lower the tone of his voice in which he did not. <br/>Then I noticed he walked over to he other waitress and called me stuck up. All of this in front of my child who is autistic. Nice!!!<br/>Meal was fantastic though!!!

Yummmmy. Took my sister inlaw out for a meal , we both had the special rib eye witch was mouth watering , and at the $26.50 well worth it we shared a garlic bread and salt and pepper squid with was also pleasent to eat .. after some bad food at a local resturant you guys have gone and topped there best meal by far .. will deff be back thaks again .
Paul Rasheed
Average food. Overpriced. Rude, mean staff. Very disappointed. Bernaise sauce was awful. Bangers and mash for my daughter should have been referred to as sausage jerky.
Wayne Costello
Disgusted - Will never go here again. Wen't here for a $10 dinner on Thursday and although the meals were nice BUT we merely asked if my Dad who is 82 years old could have mash potato instead of chips as it is a healthier option.<br/>The staff were really lovely about it and one said that the manager would not budge with alterations to the specials.<br/>The Manager just whined and whined and whined about cost of staff and cost of chips and blah blah blah.<br/>Not to mention that she said you can have the mash potato but it would be $5 on top of the $10 meal. I mean the energy she expended in explain why she would not switch a couple of chips for a dollop of mash potato probably would have exceeded the costs she raved about and not to mention she just lost three customers.<br/>Really, how hard would it have been to give my Dad some mash potato and win three customers over with good service and would have happily come back many times, but not now<br/>Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!

Never Again!!. Dined at lunch today, ordered salt and pepper squid it was very very tough and not edible, took the meal back to the counter, yes they did replace the meal which I chose, it was cheaper than the squid, and seemed an issue to get the difference of the price in return!! what I didn't like was the sarcastic looks and smug remarks from the staff behind the counter, if your going to roll your eyes and have a laugh..... Make sure the customer doesn't see you!! JUST DON'T GO!! very unpleasant visit!!
Emma
Went there for the first time in years around when they changed from "old bailey" to just bailey and its massively improved in many ways. Theres been renovations so its way schmancier and the menu has about 3 times as many items it used to. All meals were good in the few times we went (i really enjoyed the ribs) and in general just much better than it used to be
Charlotte
Don't go!!!. Customer service??? what customer service. this place caters for the regular bar flies and that is. menu old and tired- there are so many new things in food they need to try cooking fresh up to date meals.<br/>The slapped some paint on the walls but don't be fooled it has not changed
Jacquie
Great food and price. We have been here a few times and have never had a bad meal, ok prices and the service has always been good.
Foodlover147
Never going back. Went to the bailey for drinks and some pub food, the owner was running around like a mad woman, She rushed our orders, and was extremely rude and arrogant when we we're deciding what to drink. the staff were great but never returning to a place with an owner as obnoxious. extremely off putting when all i wanted was to sit back and have a relaxing night. food is average, overly priced, would rather waste $5 at McDonalds
Not Happy
Never Again. We have not been to the old Bailey for 2 years because the place was old, food was average. I was told that there are new owners and the Old Bailey was refurnished. We went there tonight, and will NOT be back. Food was average and over priced. Sure a few new fittings but nothing has really changed, everything looks old. You have to walk thru the beer garden to get to the restaurant, while men that are drunk perv at you walking past, makes you feel terrible. We purchased 2 meals on the card for $60, but when we returned for desert, i was told i had to purchase a min of $20 on the card because i had no cash, despite paying for our main meals on the card earlier.... so we left, went to McDonalds, yes i know McDonalds for a coffee and cake, purchased on our card for $7.05. Its old, it needs a total new look. Needs a new dance floor, new music to maybe cater for people in their 30's -40's as there is nothing in northern suburbs that does. And lower there prices , have a better entrance (keep it separate from the pub) and make it a $10 min card purchase like everyone else, and then maybe we will return!
FaffyMac
Massive Portions. Went on a Wednesday night and had a few of the $10 specials which is a choice of Pizza or Pasta. I had the spag bol which was delish. My little boy ordered the kids fish and chips for $10, and my mate had the meat lovers pizza. Portion sizes were massive, food was delish and came out quick. The kids meals are the best value in town, $10 you get dinner, drink and icecream to finish!! Well worth the money, would go back for sure. Also they let you take away your food if you don't finish it - handy as the sizes are large.
Food Lover Laura
Update your menu. This place needs an overhaul, looks better but the menu is dated and overpriced. For no table service which is fine but to have such a pricey menu to go with it - no no no<br/><br/><br/>-----24 Feb, 2013-----<br/><br/>Nothing special. This place has always been up and down. its nothing to go out of your way for.<br/>the management is rude, loud and has no boundaries. <br/>the place would be good if it was not so uncomfortable walking through the beer garden with eyes on you like your the last woman on earth.<br/>don't bother here
Hungry Mother
The customer is definitely NOT always right here!! We were totally abused tonight... Will NOT be going back! Staff are excellent however management needs some lessons in customer relations!
CrazyMoFo
A welcome surprise. Having eaten here before we knew what to expect. However the the gentleman and lady that were running the bistro today were a delight. Truly A+ service, very unexpected. Pub grub was good as well. But what great service.
Foodie Fan
Went with family the other evening. Service good and fast, meals came out with a smile and beautifully presented, plenty on the plate and tasted good. Only negative comment was, there so quick at clearing plates and glasses away we were sitting there ackwardly just letting our meal digest but felt the need to leave as all our drinks were cleared away too! Score 7.5/10

Great Place!!! :) The best fish and chips ever!
Kirsty7
Super yum food, fantastic service - a really nice place to relax on a cold, wintery weekday night. Returned today and enjoyed the chicken and mushroom dish.
Sandra Wilson
Nice but a bit exy!. My friend told me the specials are great at this place so she took me her for a tuesday lunch. On this day my friend had the steak special (again) which she loves but the kitchen tends to overcook the steaks so she always asks for it cooked under her desired taste.I tried the pasta with olives, garlic , chilli and tomato; not much to the pasta, nice for what i wonted but i thought the price was a bit steep, about 18.00. The steak sandwich was only a 1.00 more served with chips, i felt ripped off. Not somewhere to rave about but the food quality was good. The walk out past the smokers always a bit off putting but they seem to be renovationg so i hope this changes.
Mezcass
Uhoh.... hoping it was just a bad night. Dinner booked for 6pm a group including space for highchair and pram. So after walking through what now appears to be the beer garden/smokers corner/mosh pit to get in *cough cough* we were shown to our table jammed up against the stage. Music so loud we could hardly hear each other. Dinner ordered by 6.20 and at 7.30 we were still waiting. Kids meals came late, adults even later. After watching tables that ordered after us eat and leave we were not impressed. Tweleve meals ordered at the table and most were ok. Curry of the day was supposed to be Rogan Josh but was way too hot. Kindly enough they refunded the cost of the meal as it wasn't eaten. Food has improved with new owners and on a quiet night service is not too bad. We have been back about four times since the change and have been happy other than tonight. Here's hoping the service doesn't continue this way :o(

Worth another try. The new Bailey is so much better. For a start the decor has been completely revamped and so much better. Staff were extremely attentive & friendly and the main thing - the food's so much better than before (old management). Steak & prawn special was beautifully cooked. We coulnd't fault anything.<br/><br/>Last time we dined at "The Old Bailey" it was an 'experience' to say the least. Staff unfriendly, slow service food very average, hot chips weren't hot - sent back 3 times for hot chips only to end up with no chips at all - they forgot about us or decided to ignore us - too much hard work.<br/><br/>With the new management and rennovations, this place is defintely worth another try!!!
Belinda Brandt
Absolutely superb meal for Valentines Day, cooked to perfection! Excellent service and fabulous renovations at The Bailey, colour me impressed :)

Fantastic place for a family meal. I had not been to what used to be 'The Old Bailey' for years, due to very average previous dining experiences there. Hearing that the place is under new ownership, we decided to give it a go last Sunday and were pleasantly surprised. I had a really good seafood platter (the prawns, oysters, whiting, mussels, scallops were all great...the calamari could be improved) and my husband had a steak that he raved about. There was also a good list of reasonably priced specials and kids meals. Mellow live music added to the atmosphere ; the decor has been modernised and brightened up from the dingy dark place it used to be. I was surprised at how busy this place was for a Sunday. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best feeds ive had. Bailey Bar & Bistro has it all, great food, great drinks offer, excellent customers service, very reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere, ample parking what else can i say! I loved it and can see myself going back there many more times. Keep up the great work!

Welcome back!!. Since the original owners have bought back the Bailey. You can instantly see and feel the difference. They know how to run a great pub not "tavern" which so many unfortunately are. A new name and a new life. The food is fab and the service is so quick and friendly. Big difference when its a family run pub/bistro. Welcome back Deb and family. We will start going back there now.

Valerie. I took my family to the Old Bailey for an early dinner on Wednesday and we were all really impressed with the food and the staff. The service was excellent (my two year old grandson was with us and without asking, colouring pencils and paper appeared to keep him occupied), the staff were welcoming and worked very efficiently and we enjoyed a delicious meal in a relaxed, hospitable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Old Bailey. We used to go there a lot as a family, always good food, not expensive. We loved it! But since the owners change over, some time ago its gone to pot!. just dreadfull. Í would never go again.

Unless you live nearby and need a pub to walk to everynight because you've no other life, I have no idea why this place is popular.

The menu had a good selection of pub standards (steak sangas, salt and pepper squid, parmies etc) as well as some more ‘exotic’ options; Moroccan spiced lamb and Saffron linguine. They even had a kids section which you don’t find all that often these days. Although very tempted by the lamb, I ordered the Tuesday night special, a 300gm Black Angus Rump steak served with garlic sauce, chips and greens ($16.50) and my girlfriend had the chicken caesar salad – sans anchovies ($22). Most of the table ordered the steak special but I did see the odd pizza floating around which looked very tasty too.
