Review Virsa - The Heritage - Joondalup

Visited this week for a family celebration and it was truly exceptional! Great communication from the staff member and we had some fun chatting with them. The food was first class and quality cuts of meat and you could tell all cooked fresh and with precision. Having lived in the UK and also Leicester you know a really good curry and quality cuts of meat. This was up to that standard and really really enjoyable and money well spent! Highly recommend this place for a reliable and quality curry! M

The food is ridiculously good here, reasonably priced, comes with complimentary items when you spend $30 or more. The staff are friendly, service is quick, all round beautiful restaurant. Best butter chicken I've had in Australia yet.

Great food, especially if you're looking for that UK style curry. Probably a bit spicy compared to some we have visited locally but just right for me. Really enjoyed the curry, the vegetable dish and the naan breads. A couple of our group marked the score down due to the spice level but this excellent restaurant still scored 81% on the Curry Safari score board. I hope we will visit again, and soon.

I ate dinner here last night after hearing my auntie talk it up last week and seeing the positive reviews online. I ordered the Chefs Special Punjabi Chicken dish with garlic naan and rice pulao. The restaurant seemed pretty quiet for a Saturday night but there was a steady stream of food going out for delivery. Not sure what was going on, although there was only 3 tables in the restaurant my food took close to 45 minutes to come out but was certainly worth the wait. Might have been different if I had my kids with me as they get impatient but I was happy to wait. The waitresses were very apologetic and came with a free can of coke to compensate for the wait. When I went to pay they advised me they would discount my bill 50%. I wasn't expecting it but hey offer I'll accept. Certainly will come back again next time as food was very nice and the restaurant seems clean and modern inside.

I've been to this restaurant several times and I've always had excellent service and food. There is an extensive menu of Indian food which is authentic and well priced. It is BYO so if you want alcohol you need to take it with you and they will put it in the fridge if required. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy good quality, well priced Indian cuisine

Have just had a beautiful meal. Being Uk ex pats we know what good Indian food is like. Service excellent. Portion sizes very good. I found the medium heat a little spicy but they brought Raita for me. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Consistently good lamb rogan josh and chicken Madras. Tasty lamb cutlets, lamb biryani, onion bhaaji and garlic naans. Food arrives still hot and it is always delivered on time or within the specified time. The food is consistently tasty and fresh, and this usually suggests that they use quality and fresh ingredients. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good indian food in Joondalup.

Regularly get take away from here - the food is always great and the best curry in the area. Usually get a lamb saag, vegetable curry & some chicken pakora entree. We order medium and love spice, so it is perfect for us. Reasonably priced as well.

Was so excited to find this place... read some great reviews... but was so disappointed.. when ordering the food for takeway the lady on the phone was alittle rude... we ordered the tikkia Masala and chicken saag... the nanns and rice were beautiful... but the mains were inedible.. the meat used was really lovely but the spices were so intense.. I like Spicey food but I couldn't handle either dish.. the chicken saga might be my fault as I asked for a medium spice.. but it was so spicy I had one bite and was in tears.. My nose wouldn't stop running lol... and the tikka Masala was just as bad.. and I've never had a tikka Masala that just felt like heat.. with no other flavour.. I think they may have used the wrong spice in both dishes.. I was so so so disappointed.

Excellent food I have had deliveries loads and it's always consistent and really good value they do meal deals and family packs so it makes it more affordable. We went for our first dine in experience, the food was up to its usual high standard with complimentary poppadom and chutney. Only BYO so come prepared. The only downside was it looks really tired inside and alot of the table covers were stained which was off putting. It was clean and tidy just needs a bit of TLC. Recommend highly for take away 😊

Really just another Joondalup curry house. Food is ok, but just the same as every other curry house in Joondalup. You wont be disappointed but you wont be jumping with happiness either.

An excellent Indian restaurant that provides great service and food in a comfortable setting. There is no alcohol sales licence but there is BYO which enables you to take drinks of your choice.

They also have a great take away service with delivery depending on the distance from the restaurant.

I have been to the restaurant numerous times as well as having had takeaway and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant
This place has been up and running for 3 months under new owners. Absolutely beautiful indian food. Everyone at the table was more than happy with their dish. Im shocked that it only has an average of 3.1 stars. Will definitely be a returning customer, and recommend to anyone.

Seriously some of the BEST indian food I've had in Perth. I seriously had to refrain myself from drinking the Prawn Malibar sauce. My only gripe was that the prawns were a little on the small side. Dhal Taaka was also delicious and thick and breads were great. I wished I had order more dishes to try but if they were anything to go on,Β I will most definitely be back.

stop bullshitting guys about this restaurant as I tried it last weekend with my mrs. food and service was stunning.I don't know about couple of months earlier but I ve been told they changed everything from previous menu and dropped the prices I read all reviews before give it a go and it left me with positive mindset about those peoplecertainly, paneer pakore is worth praising and price is pretty reasonableI ll certainly be back....thxx

Terrible Indian food! Not authentic Indian cuisine at all. Total rip off

I agree with the other review! Worst Indian restaurant ever. I think they are relying on fancy decor to look good and charge top dollar but the food was over sweetened and I felt like we were eating meat which was definitely not lamb or beef and I'd rather not guess. It was smothered in sauces which all tasted the same and we left without eating the food but still having to pay for it

Worst experience ever. Today on 28th March 2015 we thought to try this restaurant. We are highly disappointed with the food that we didn't order mains and left the entree. We ordered Vegetarian and non-vegetarian platters, all the stuff were stale and completely tasteless.

This restaurant is not at all recommended if you want to taste good and authentic Indian food.

Note: I am uploading a pic with our left over plates.
