Love the currambine, it's a pub, but the meals are just different to your usual pub food and the service is great from the staff the food comes out real quick, can't fault it, perfect place to have a meal and ypu have the cinemas just next door to catch a movie after. Can't fault it the owner is lovely and great staff

I attended The Currambine Friday night the staff were happy and welcoming the service was excellent and the I recieved my meal. Chicken with Cashew Wok, the waiter asked who ordered the Vegetarians Wok I stated I ordered Chicken Wok and the waiter said oh yes this is it. At that point I should have sent the meal back looking at the small portion of food on my plated but, continued the conversation I was in. Sampling the food the meal tasted of good flavour but I struggled to find any chicken. Small meal and missing ingreadence, my advice for any attending The Currambine order off there specials menu. It's a shame my parents really like going to The Currambine for dinner but, if I'm asked my preference next time ....

This is a really nice place to eat. We went on Mother's Day so it was a little crowded but we sat in a little semi alfresco area which was beautiful. The food was good, decent servings and the Balinese Satay Chicken was absolutely fantastic. Very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend a visit.

$37.50 for what turned out to be 6 little bites of steak, had to go to mcdonalds afterwards, chef and management should be ashamed to send this out to any table and charge such a stupid price for surf and turf

I know its great dining..... but when you just want a bar snack..... should be under$20 and probably include a drink..... Your thoughts? Update 25th May 2022 Been quite some time since my last visit to the Currambine...... but turned out to be a good decision The Pork Belly Duo was delicious and the BBQ ribs succulent and whilst still a bit of a top end price, it is top end food.

As we walked in to take a seat, a lady ran up to us, yelling to the other staff member that we hadn't been checked for vaccinations; all staff members appeared tense. Ordered drinks, which were fine, and then food. The food started coming out in doubles, which we thought was strange. I asked my brother in law to check the total bill, and he said it was more than $300. I said that couldn't be right, so we calculated the total cost of 7 adult meals plus one child, which came to just over $170.00. He had been overcharged. When I approached the service desk to inform them, one of the staff members said, "We know what happened," and was quickly silenced by another staff member who took over. During this time, my brother-in-law was asked to wait twice because she served other customers' food instead of resolving the overcharging issue in the first place. The lady blamed it on the new computer system, but no one else seemed to have experienced this issue when getting their meals. The food was mediocre, and the service was even worse. The fact that they overcharged by $125.00 and were unwilling to say anything is absolutely disgusting and is stealing. They did not even offer a complimentary beverage or anything for their error. I will never return to this location, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Very disappointed in the NEW Menu, Currambine Bar & Bistro has been our favourite place to eat out for years, and recommended to many until now! As previously mentioned in comments, our favourite meals have now disappeared making Fish & Chips the only alternative of old. Please bring back the old menu soon with less of this “Slaw” with everything, until then we will also now be looking around for another favourite place. We were thankful that at least the service was as good as it has always been, just that horrible menu! Sorry folks may not be returning anytime soon!

Went for a work function a couple of weeks ago. The meal was beautiful. Service was great. All 14 of us got our meals together after waiting 15 minutes at the most. Friendly staff gave me a doggy bag to take home cos couldn’t eat the big portion. Served quickly at the bar, and chilled after our meal listening to live music. A 10 outta 10 from me guys . Well done �

Came to the bar and bistro tonight for the first time in a few years, local wanneroo guy. Absolutely blown away with the great service tonight for my sisters birthday. All the staff were great and the pizzas were amazing. However I must say that Matt who was attending to most of us in the close area was fantastic, this guy is a total customer service super-star!! His knowledge of drinks, friendly attitude and attention to detail was awesome.. this guy is a legend behind the bar and will be back just to enjoy a laugh with the guy! Give him a pay rise! Hi we came in yesterday lunch. I have had bariatric surgery and explained that I couldnt eat very much so asked if I could have a small piece of grilled fish and have some steamed vegetables instead of chips and salad. They still charged me $29...highway robbery. As it was the vegetables were inedible...they were soo soggy and covered in butter and oil and had a very unpleasant taste. I could only eat two mouthfuls of fish and took it home for dinner. I then found 7 bones in the fish that night...very unacceptable. When the waitress asked if there was anything wrong with the meal...I told her about the vegetables. She offered to make a fresh bowl but we were ready to leave at that stage. Just very disappointing. When you tell most restaurants that you have had bariatric surgery...they are accommodating and charge you accordingly...not charge you extra for a very substandard meal. In retrospect I should have complained at the time but didn't want to cause a scene....

Took our visiting Dutch friends their for a meal & they absolutely loved the food, atmosphere, service & of course, the menu choices. It's our place of choice for a beautiful meal.

We went wednesday night for my daughters birthday 12 of us .Service good,meals were all good.except one my husband ordered paella very dry no flavour but my meal beef cheeks beautiful & every one else had a good meal duck ravoli was good too.We had a variety of meals.Drinks were good too

Massive specials menu ! It was quite busy when we went but that didn’t stop the food coming out super fast Good service and the sticky date pudding is massive ! Highly recommend

I enjoy coming to the Currambine with my family. The children always enjoy their food and are full, which is fantastic. But please can you consider offering more vegan options?There is only ever one meal choice for me that is gf pasta with a vegan sauce. Vegertain choices are often the same couple of dishes too 😊

I have always loved my dinner at the Currambine, the presentation, meal size and variation is amazing not to mention the flavor and quality... my fav is the Chilli mussels but everything on the menu is brilliant.

Very disappointed in the meal. All 4 meals ordered where extremely disappointing, the chicken and fish were very oily, the pie was like soup and the meat was tough and the pizza smelt off. Offered free coffee but no explanation from management. Will definitely not return

Service and staff were excellent.<br/>Last visited 12 months ago the food was excellent. This time however the food came out so quickly we were curious how they could cook a medium steak so quickly? Scotch steak at $36 was so dry and disappointing and I think they forgot to add spice to the Morrocan chicken as it was tasteless. Expensive and very disappointed. Wont be going back

Love the food huge menu and so tasty plus the staff are awesome people. The prices are really reasonable for massive portions and quality meals not your usual pub feed.

Pleasantly surprised. The whole family went here for lunch on Saturday, I have to say that it was very nice. Me and my son shared a seafood platter and share plate, loads of food and good quality. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. I think it was a little on the expensive side perhaps, but the portions were huge.<br/>I would visit here again.

I’ve been here a few times now and have always been impressed with the food and the service. The food comes out so quickly but it’s always been really fresh and tasty. I’ve never had such fast service in a restaurant. It’s a very noisy place with the sports bar, but aside from that it’s a great place to enjoy a delicious meal

The place is big and noisy but the service is quick, the staff are lovely and the food tasty. Order your meals at the counter and drinks at the bar. The menu is huge. The beef and Guinness pie is a winner. I would go again .

The Bistro is slightly on the expensive side but the portion size and taste certainly makes up for it! I would definitely recommend the lamb shank for main, very well presented and the sauce was delicious!!

Lovely atmosphere for a quiet meal, chicken parmi was really nice and chips were amazing but the price was laughable $56 for a parmi and two pints. But you say thats worth $31 when most places are around $25 to $28

Smiles from the get-go! Great service. We mentioned were going to movies after and were assured it wouldnt be long. Well it took 5 minutes for 3 meals to be on our table. Hot, fresh and bloody delicious. My gnocchi was outstanding. Fish and chips cooked to perfection. Seafood fettucini fantastic. <br/>Just found our new favourite place to eat.

I‘be never posted a review of my own on here, but Currambine Bar & Bistro have been too good too many times to resist! The service is fast, portions are huge, and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. I’m yet to have a bad experience; however, I don’t think that’s even possible. I’d definitely recommend!

Currambine has a massive, extensive menu with something for everyone. Typical pub food but of great quality, and servings are very generous. Love the paella! Service is friendly, and very attentive! The place itself is nothing fancy, but great for groups or families.

I came to eat here on a Sunday night, and I will add that I was very disappointed in the service and the overall food. Firstly you had to go up to order your food and the line was very long, to the point they opened up another counter behind us. So the people behind us got their order before us. Than it was an absolute pain waiting for our food considering their was live music playing and I hate live music. When we got out food it tasted absolutely horrible!!!! Very disappointed with the restaurant and overall experience! Do not recommend!

One of my favourite places to visit with my family. First thing is that service here is incredibly fast and the staff are friendly. The setting of this restaurant is family orientated it is slightly loud however that's what you would expect. Now the food is equally great, large portions and a big menu to choose from.

This place has been a great local bistro to go to. A tad expensive but it is usually worth it. The staff are generally pretty friendly. Except for one instance, where a much older lady was quite rude when we asked for a table, which was kind of a turn-off. If there's no availabilities, fair enough, but perhaps learn how to deliver that news without an attitude? Or offer an approximate waiting time? Other than that, delicious food and great portions.

The food was really good and didn't have to wait to long, the cocktails & ciders are great and really tasty, service was great and the atmosphere was really good, good selection of desserts there to 😊

Omg... we have been once before but it was too loud so never had the pleasure of dinning... <br/>After hearing lovely things about the food we thought we would give it ago and we were so glad we did!<br/>We order 3 starters for 4 people and that would have been plenty without mains!<br/>Portion sizes are huge...and I can eat alot!<br/>Next time we will share a main but we will be returning again soon!<br/>

Come here quite often and it does not disappoint. <br/>The decor is new and huge! The food is served quickly and to a great standard. Wait staff have been pleasant every time we've been here and are more than accommodating. Have dined in both the restaurant and bar, both are wonderful

I ordered the stuffed chicken breast and it was raw. Got my money back and went to maccas. Massive disappointment.<br/>At maccas i designed my own burger. I got crispy chicken with avacado, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions. It was actually delicious.

This place has a good atmosphere and the food is always good. I think it has one of the best pork bellys you can get in Perth. Make sure u make a booking for dinner. They are always busy

I've been to Currambine Bar & Bistro a few times. Usually they are pretty good hence why I have always been going back but tonight was more than disappointing. I ordered the chilli muscles while my boyfriend ordered the seafood plater. Both dishes were well below average with the muscles lacking alot of flavour and were not spicy at all. The seafood plater was also very poor and caused us to feel sick later that night. Too much batter on the seafood and overall just didn't taste fresh. Considering how fast the food comes out, given such a large menu, I think it is obvious that alot of the food is made and prepared well before serving ready to reheat (such as the chilli muscle sauce). The one upside, as always at Currambine, is that the serving sizes were large. Overall however, we will not be rushing back to Currambine Bar & Bistro anytime soon.

Went here on a Friday night for the first time. Really nice inside and was really busy! We ordered and our food came out super quick, everything was cooked to perfection and presented well. The menu has so many different choices to choose from. Pleasantly surprised by this place will definitely be coming again :)

Best restaurant/bar north of Perth. Food never dissapoints and the service is the best you will get. I've been to all restaurants surrounding the area and this by far tops them all. Always leave satisfied.

I can't believe how big this place is and how busy it was for a Monday night but food still came out so quick. The menu is two pages long and the specials was another whole page! There really is something for everyone here. <br/><br/>You order at the counter and everyone can pay separately. Just annoying that drinks are ordered separately at the bar but if you have no cash then you're screwed as there is a $20 eftpos minimum. <br/><br/>Hands down BEST chips. I am a chip sl*t and these are amongst the best I've had. My Caesar salad was okay. All portions were huge. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food.

Had a family dinner at the CB&B this week and unfortunately I ordered the Rib Eye for $42.00. It was awful as I could not cut it let alone chew it!!. I told the waitress it was awful and she took it away before returning to ask if I wanted anything else. I was right but an offer of a full refund would of been nice. Everyone else's meals were fine.

Visiting Perth and went here with a big group of friends on Saturday night. Food was good solid pub food with big servings but the night was ruined when dealing with the older manager/head waitress who was handling table bookings. Her manner was disgusting. She wasn't only rude to me but i watched her talk to other people the same way. Totally would have killed the buzz for all the other 150 diners as well im sure. Clearly hates her job, leave already your wrecking a good pub!

Today I was sitting in the bar area with a friend having a drink when a male bartender aggressively and loudly starting speaking to two other staff members about moving glasses. The staff members looked shocked and proceeded to do so, I seen the public members looking and some even making a joke to the lady staff member saying how nice it is to work there with the bartender. As the two members did what he asked and walked off he then proceeded to speak aggressively again and loudly towards the lady so that everyone public was watching over the glasses not being exactly where he wanted them, at this time of point she looked shocked and frightened. I think this is very rude to not only the staff members but to put the public patrons. So unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Management needs to take action and procedures need to be followed and issued to make it a safe and friendly workplace.

Always a great experience at Currambine Bar & Bistro. I have been a few times now, in small groups to parties of 20-30 people and also in a private function room, each time the food has been consistent and tasty with friendly fast service. I have found that some of the prices can be a bit high, but generally things are priced relatively well. There standard menu is good, quite a lot to choose from, however their specials menu always adds some great options. <br/><br/>In my most recent visit I tired the wagyu beef burger with maple bacon with a side of fries and onion rings and it was great. Burger was nice, fresh and tasty and the sides were delicious, however some more onion rings would've been really nice. <br/><br/>Great for any occasion and will cater to any amount of people, from a party of 2 to large groups. Would definitely recommend.

So much choice, generous portions, quality food and speedy service. Consistently good. Will keep coming back. My only gripe is that it can get very noisy. Good idea to book for a Friday and Saturday evening to avoid missing out on a table.

The Currambine very rarely lets us down. Food is consistently good. I would call this our 'safe place' 😆 <br/>Pricey for no table service but the food quality makes up for that. Yummy pork belly and mushroom sauce. Desserts are hit and miss.

One of the best pub feeds in Perth. Yes it's expensive but the venue is nice & modern & the food is delicious!!! Generous portion sizes. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. The food itself is outstanding and the staff are friendly. Can't complain

Food is fabulous.   Whilst I have my favorite dishes all of the food is good quality and is served looking like a piece of art.<br/>The ladies are really nice and friendly.<br/>We have been frequenting it weekly since it first opened and have never been disappointed.

Ordered the pork belly lunch special and unfortunately did not enjoy one element of the dish. Pork was dry, everything drowned in gravy, potato flavourless

Beverages, cocktails, and service was excellent but the food isnt as great as it used to be. We had a seafood platter, prawns were overcooked and the fish was soggy.

For some reason whenever I've briefly visited here I've had a chip on my shoulder about it. I wouldn't call it a tacky place, but somehow it never really clicked with me.<br/><br/>But aside from the occasional pint I've never really given it a chance. So last night I finally ended up there for dinner with the family.<br/><br/>The service was cheery and welcoming. The food selection was, I felt, a bit overpriced. Mainly considering you get zero table service and go to the bar and counter to order. So aside from seating/clearing there is no staff interaction.<br/><br/>But the plus side of the pricing is that the furnishings are modern, it is clean and well presented, and it feels much more upmarket than an RSL or rural pub.<br/><br/>Food servings were massive. I was in a fish n chips mood and barely finished. Kids were stuffed too and didn't need dessert.<br/><br/>So overall I relished the opportunity to have my opinion changed, and really commend the team there on a great job. <br/><br/>And busy for a Monday night too so I'd expect it to really by pumping along on a Friday - I'd recommend a reservation.

Fantastic diverse menu. Beautifully presented, tasty food with generous serving sizes. Always packed and has a nice relaxed, family atmosphere. No table service but this works OK with the relaxed, bistro style. The wait staff are nine the less helpful, friendly and appropriately attentive without hovering. Meals are always super quick to come out and they arrive together consistently. If I'm being really picky, the quality of food isn't quite top notch, I've had a few chewy meat portions and not all of the ingredients seem super fresh. If you're after a reasonably priced and very relaxed family night out, this is the place.

Incredible food!! Went there for a mates birthday who goes often. 15 people ordered different meals and all came out quickly, looking and tasting incredible!

First time at the Currambine and it was fantastic. Had Reef & Beef, Pitch Black Angus, Roast and Shanks. Presentation was top notch. Would recommend.

Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced in Perth, the manager/head waitress is beyond rude, for $30 a main you have to queue for 15 minutes to order food, then wait another 10 minutes in another queue for drinks, which you have to bring back to the table. When ordering food if you don't know your table number you're met with sighs and huffs. Its such a shame because the food is quite good normally, such a disappointment to be so resentful to the people paying for your service.

Been here many times. Mostly good but hit and miss with the pork belly - sometimes you'll get crackling sometimes not. And for some reason they insist on stacking hot meat on top of the potato rosti so I've never had a crispy rosti yet. Steaks are beautiful. Lamb medley - sausage and cutlet nice but ribs tasted like they'd just poured a bottle of sticky sauce over them at serving time. Desserts look amazing but I've never had one myself. You need to book as it gets packed. A nice pub for a family dinner or drinks and a dance afterwards.

I have eaten here at least 1 night a week for the past 2 years . A few months ago I complained the pork Shintz was 1/4 the thickness it normally was . I was told they would fix this as the size was not cooking through well in the thicker size. I found this hard to believe as the chicken Shintz was always ok . Last week had the pork paper thin and was not happy so this week asked if it was back to normal , waitress told me no it was terrible so order something else . I ordered the chicken Parma and was surprised now that is paper thin it was, the crumbs were almost thicker than the chicken. Such a shame as we do not come here for the Decor it's always been the food , however you can tell by the quietness of the pub that the quality of food is not the same . When collecting the plates the waiter did ask how our dinner was . I was honest and he really couldn't care . We won't be back there is too much competition and all we want is the quality of the meal we pay for.

Love this place! The food is just beyond amazing.. it is a bit expensive but the ambiance and quality of food justifies it all. Staff are friendly.. The lunch menu is a steal. We had the toasted garlic bread, grilled and fried fish and chips and a chicken wok which was delicious.. will definitely recommend this place to everyone!

I dont mind paying $17 for a cocktail in a suburban pub, but the standard was not there. Staff clearly don't have any mixology training. First time I went there 3 weeks ago, I ordered a Gin Martini, only to be told by the bartender "We don't know how to make that", so I ordered  a caprioska off the list that was so sweet and unbalanced I couldn't even finish. Not to mention the bartender was clearly reading off an instruction guide. Second time I went I asked for a Margherita and watched how the bartender made it. No egg white, no salt rim and didn't ask if I wanted it frozen or shaken.<br/><br/>Either lower the prices or get some external training guys!

Great pub food with huge servings. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Whilst it isnt as cheap as most pubs the food is big and tasty. The chips were a bit soggy and undercooked but the rest of the meals were great. A nice atmosphere.

Always a delicious meal at The Currambine! I've been on several occasions and my meal has always been so delicious with plenty of food on the plate! It does get quite busy though so if going with a large group I do suggest too book.

30th birthday lunch. Lunch today was delicious, staff friendly and courteous . All our meals were beautifully presented and tasted yum. Have had many family and friends dinners there and always been impressed. Sonia and team, thank you.

Worst food and service. Really did not enjoy my time here with family. The gnocchi was the worst gnocchi I've had ever. The fish and chip were dry and the pork belly was over cooked. Really bad service. We had a booking and it took an extra 20 min for for us to be seated. We were checked up with service once asking 'you done with that'. Meals took 40 mins and very loud.very dissapointed won't be back.

Dinner. I have been here before a few times and was really impressed with the food before. Six of us had dinner on 12/5/15. Four out of the six of us were happy with our meals. Someone had Nasi Goring and just ended up eating the rice as the chicken was fatty. Another had the Black Angus Steak and asked for it medium but unfortunately one third of it was blue. Bar staff and waitresses good.

Yum. Was hesitant after reading a few recent bad reviews, ate here last night (Saturday) as a table of four and we were impressed. The service was fast & all meals: salt and pepper squid, gnocchi, chicken wrapped in bacon and a lamb dish were all generous in size, so fresh and everyone enjoyed. Staff were efficient and I will be returning for sure :)

Very rude service. Had dinner with my wife I ordered steak medium to well it was rare called the waiters showed her and her reply was what would you like me to do about it I recommended for her to show the manager as she wasn't helpful so she took my plate and never came back some time later my wife and I left disappointed had great coffee and dessert at London cafe down the road

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Have eaten here several times and on every occasion have been treated rudely by the woman in charge. I find this really annoying and shall NOT return ....there plenty of other places to eat where the customer is treated both pleasantly and with respect!

Rude maître de. After experiencing the arrogance of this woman yesterday whilst we were dining ( hardly call it dining). Food was awful, we left without eating any of it , I decided to have a look on the net to see if other diners had had a similar experience. Lo and behold they had. This woman takes the lustre out of this restaurant , apparently she owns it as well !!!!! Wow ..... Time for a training course in public relations lady ! You could learn a lot from your wait staff, they are all lovely. Definitely won't be back .

Yum yum yum. Lunch today was delicious, I really don't think it's expensive for the quality of food you get. Heaps of specials available. Twice cooked pork belly, probably the tastiest I've had with the crispy prosciutto, with the jus and all the toppings, it was amazing. My friend had soft shell crab and salmon, so so good, all the other meals were great, no complaints. Saw other meals come out and the looked just as good as ours, definitely should be at 90%.

I'm really sorry but your Maitre de is SO rude!!! On all 5 occasions I've been here for dinner she's been incredibly abrupt and is a very rude ill-mannered woman! This is the first person your customers deal with when dining at your restaurant and she certainly doesn't present a great first impression. The first few times I noticed this I thought maybe she was stressed or under pressure because it was busy but I have come to the conclusion that it is just her manner. My family and I travel 25 mins to come to this establishment and could quite easily frequent our more local pubs but we enjoy the food and service from the other waitstaff. However, this woman's attitude is seriously deterring me from coming back again. I don't know if this feedback will be passed on but I would like this person to consider the way she greets people in future.

Nice Food but a little pricey for a local Tavern. Food and menu was great had no complaints, the garlic prawns were tasty and very nice. Service was good, typical tavern, very busy place just over the top prices for pub food.

Good food, bad service - unprofessional. The food we ordered was very nice and came out quickly. However some staff, including the owner, need more professionalism. Whilst waiting to order our meal a customer was very politely explaining his disappointment to the owner as at his table 2 meals failed to be served whilst the rest of his table had already finished and had their plates cleared. After dealing with this customer (who again was very polite in his complaining about not receiving 2 meals he paid for) the owner turned to us who were next in line and complained about the customer to us!!! It was unbelievable, especially when the kitchen was clearly in the wrong!! Then towards the end of our meal (approx 9:30) I went to order coffees only to find the waitress with her head down on a pile of napkins next the coffee machine. When I approached her she said "you want to order coffee don't you? I hate you." Granted it was light hearted banter but telling a paying customer "I hate you" is completely inappropriate, I am the reason you actually have a job after all. Highly unprofessional!!

Worse prawns ever!!. I had a pasta dish with prawns for dinner and it was the worse meal I had ever had...anywhere!! The linguini was dry and the prawns were so overcooked...from frozen...that they were powdery in the middle and rubbery on the outside. I told the waiter and he offered me a free drink...I wasn't drinking!! Won't be back anytime soon.

Disappointing. Omg. We ordered a pint of Peroni beer and a gin & tonic. Cost was $22. Way over the top. Only having one drink, we don't want to buy the place. The cake and coffee was $9.95. We saw the staff arriving with the cakes from the Cheescake shop. Cheaper to buy from the Cheesecake shop than the pub. The prices have gone up a lot, which is a shame as this is in walking distance for us, but we need to find a new cheaper place. Not impressed or happy.

No Thanks. This place has a fine dining price list yet serves pub food with DIY service. No thanks....we'll go elsewhere next time!

First time I'd been here last night for a birthday dinner of about 15. Have to say that I enjoyed the meal however I chose to have the $20 special being the roast, so it was cheap enough and great value. There was plenty of very expensive meals I noted on the menu, anyway it was impressive that all the meals were brought out at the same time.

I'm confused about this place, such polarising reviews. Is it good or is it bad?? Well we actually enjoyed our meals, it was very busy so the place remains popular. It's a bit like the tardis on the inside, much bigger than is let in from the outside. My criticism would be prices, it ain't cheap for reasonable quality pub grub plus... But in the end it's a pub setting not a fancy restaurant so in the end, despite enjoying the food the price puts me off. I had the crayfish, it was lovely but only half a lobster for over $40, I could have eaten more.. Chips were a bit on the soft/soggy side too

Over Priced Pub Food. I came here when the restaurant first opened and I suspect the chef they had then was much more experienced than who they have now. The food is NOW average, over dressed with gravies and veges that do not compliment the star, and really overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't recommend.

Grilled Fish with Chips, Tartare and Salad. This dish was massive. But so good. Perfectly cooked fish with a side of crunchy chips. One of the best fish and chips we had.

Below average. Started with oysters kilpatrick. Under the bacon and barbecue sauce I found the tiniest oysters I have ever had. Very poor value at $ 18 for six. If they were juicy and plump you would not mind paying. My partner had the sirloin steak with prawns which she said was terrible. I tasted it and it was tough and had about as much flavour as cardboard. The sauce was a white floury gluggy one that would have suited baked cauliflower rather than the steak and prawns. Her chips were fatty and greasy. My lamb shank and mash had good flavour not the best I've ever had but okay. I also ordered a cosmopolitan which came with flat premixed coke and a glass full of ice. Three big sips through a straw and it was gone leaving a glass three quarters full of ice. Very disappointing how do people who have been in the industry for so long get it so wrong.

Great Food. Eat here often and haven't had a bad meal yet. New Year was great, staff friendly and food outstanding. Only down side it is quite expensive to take a family. It has an extensive specials list but they can still be expensive.

Oh dear !!!

This place has an arbitrary dress rule of no sleeveless tops for men. A family member of ours was turned away for wearing a singlet at a large family lunch. The supervisor justified it on the grounds that the bar was seeking to set a "classy" dress standard. Meanwhile, other men sat in the restaurant wearing board shorts and thongs. Kids and women can wear singlets. This policy is definitely charting grey waters in relation to state and federal gender discrimination laws. Oh, and the food is very average.

Really recommend this place!. Birthday dinner with the family. We had the Pork Belly, BBQ Ribs, Wok of the day and a kids chicken schnitz and chips. Basic bistro setting was clean and not too noisy. The service was friendly and lightning fast (food and drinks). The food was fantastic and more than we could eat. If you are looking for a reasonably priced meal in a nice setting I recommend you give this place a go. The wife also really enjoyed her mock Mojito (the "Nojito").

Discusted. I booked a table for 5, for my mother is in town for Christmas. We arrived 10 minutes before our booked time, went up to the seating counter to take our table and we were greeted with a "you only booked for four" and a scowl. The rude lady then proceeded to pull another table over, muttering under her breath. I asked what she was saying, to which she replied " I wouldn't have to do this if you booked for 5. My jaw dropped. My oldest daughter had a look at the booking sheet, and there was 5 booked. I couldn't believe the rude way she conducted herself. I told her to forget it and walked out. On the way out, she proceeded to argue with my mother. I was looking forward to try this place, as a lot of people has said it's good. Guess I'll never find out. Will not return to be treated like that again. Appalled.

Great place to eat. The people who say food comes out to quick dont speak to the owner she has alot of chefs out the back so thats why food comes out quick. It is always busy so food must not be bad negative people.

Poor quality food at expensive prices. Thought we would try as reviews were mixed. But man was it NOT good.<br/><br/>We both has pork belly and the plate was huge and overloaded with Crap on the plate. Less is more guys.<br/><br/>Didn't need 2 lots of apple. Tomato and a very strange pile of red capsicum. My main problem was the poor quality of the pork belly. Bland. Burnt crackling. <br/><br/>And mine had bones. You suppose to put it on the menu or tell the customer if there is a chance of bones being in the meal. I wouldn't have almost swallowed and choked if I had known. <br/><br/>Staff were very friendly but the food awful. Wont be going again. If you want good pork belly goto portifinos at mindarie marina

Never again. First time will be my last! My wife and I went for a Saturday lunch. I ordered a Pork Schnitzel from the specials list and boy was it SPECIAL....I, like most people, like my schnitzels crispy. This "crumbed thing" had clearly come straight out of the microwave. The crumbs were still white. Not a sign of any golden crispiness that we all expect when ordering a schnitzel. Too make matters worse, it was drenched in a mushroom gravy which made it even soggier than it had been when it left the microwave. I sent it back for a refund. The manager obliged and was kind enough to inform me that this is how they choose to cook and serve their schnitzels. She was also kind enough to ask if I'd like to choose another meal but I'd well and truly lost my appetite by this stage. Beer was warm and flat too.

Huge portions & reasonably priced. Have been many times & always come home full & fat! Favorite meals are the pork belly, fried Camembert & the arinccini balls. They are huge portions & everything is reasonably priced too! The service is ok, but the meals come out super fast!

Excellent service. What a beautiful venue! Fabulous service in all areas, could not fault the staff, they provided a fantastic, pleasant evening.<br/>The menu is a little large, but food came really quickly.<br/>I really recommend this venue from the public bar to the bistro. Relaxing venue, with well priced food and drinks.

Surprisingly good!. I am always really skeptical of restaurants with huge menus. I was even more skeptical when I saw how big the specials list was on the night I went. Yet somehow, the food is quite tasty. Not sure I want to know how they manage to prepare and cook such a huge range of food, but when I get my passport renewed, I would certainly head across the border to Currambine to eat here again.

Best pub food i have had in Perth. I love how they always have lots of different specials to choose from so the menu never gets boring. The serving sizes are great and the good is always pretty yummy. We go there regularly!

Good restaurant for early dining with the family and kids of all ages. Food quality is OK, couldn't really complain although my steak was a little bland the kids loved their very stringy pizza and the ribs and chips in a basket went down very well with my husband :-) Some good options on the menu for the kids that aren't all nugget related :-)

GOOD <br/>- sausage n mash with gravy & veg (ask for extra gravy if you like more than a drizzle) large portion <br/>- chilli mussels & garlic bread ( large portion) <br/>- Ribs, chips & salad <br/>- pork belly on shredded potato <br/>- paella - sea food (large portion) <br/>- steak, chips & salad (not the best but not the worst) <br/>- side of hit chips (large portion $8) <br/><br/>All the food is lovely & huge portions. Nice pub, clean with plenty of seating although you should book as previously we were rudely told by an flustered older lady that YOU HAVE TO BOOK !!!

Bland, cold and overpriced, dreadful coffee !. Roast lamb - meat warm, veggies almost cold, gravy too, and when did a slice of lemon start to make an appearance with a roast dinner ?? <br/>Pasta - bland <br/>Coffee we asked for it to be extra hot .... - sent back as luke warm, second cup was hot but um no coffee In it, like drinking hot milk, couldn't drink it, terrible cup of coffee. <br/>Hospitality skills... When will Perth restauranteurs / pub owners etc start to train their staff properly, it is extremely rude to clear away the table whilst someone is still eating their meal ! ! <br/>Will not return. 4/10.

The food here is fantastic! Well priced, looks amazing and tastes even better. The food came out so quickly and the staff were friendly. All in all I couldn't fault this restaurant and can't wait for our next visit.

Best place for a wedding reception. I have been looking at all these negative reviews and I feel there is a need to set the record straight for those people that are interested in having a function held there or just to go there for a meal and drinks. <br/>My husband and I ended up booking our wedding reception here in November 2013 due to a MAJOR stuff-up (through no fault of our own) with Drover's Restaurant (a place we will never recommend to anyone), and from the moment we asked to look at the function room at the Currambine we were treated like royalty not only by the owner, but by the manager and all the staff that worked there! Any enquiry that I had was easily and sufficiently answered, and we were greeted by the very friendly staff and management on numerous occasions before our wedding by everyone involved. On the night of the reception, my new hubby and I did not have to lift a finger and even the security personnel was kind enough to ask us throughout the night whether everything was okay and would we like some more food and drink. The prices were very reasonable for hire and for the cocktail platters that were handed around, and the bar tab wasnt even completely used, we ended up with having money left over!<br/><br/>All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone that is thinking of either going there for just a meal and drinks, and DEFINITELY for a special occasion or function! :)

We had the gnocchi it was chewy and the sauce had no flavour. Won't be ordering this again

Great Food & Generous Portions. Don't know why some people are complaining, the food is amazing. Have had the Lamb Rack which was divine and colleagues had the Risotto, Pork Belly and Nasi Goreng and everyone raved how great their meal was. We will definitely be frequenting the Currumbine Tavern more regularly!

Key to an awesome experience at my local..... Forget dining in the restaurant. Stroll in, grab a leaner in the main bar and order anything off the regularly updated specials menu. Always delicious, excellent value and sitting in the bar means not dealing with the crabby maitred or complete lack of atmosphere in the restaurant! My partner and I live far to close to the currambine and hence have eaten there 30+ times since it opened. All but one of those times we have stumbled home very happy and satisfied! Love my local!

Shocking. Ordered 3 Entrees and 3 Mains and food was very nice, no complaints. Sometime after went up to order and pay for desserts totalling just under $20.00. I was informed that my order needed to be more than $20.00 if using my card, I thought the lady was joking but she was serious so I walked away without desserts as I did not have cash with me and was not prepared to purchase anything else just to take it over that $20.00. This should not have happened and ruined the evening.

I have read the reviews.. I have just been to this venue and had a very good experience.<br/>The food whilst pricey was very very good. So much more than we could eat.<br/>We just went in on the off chance of a table and even though it was early they accommodated us and the place soon filled up. <br/>A full house cannot be a bad recommendation.<br/>Worth trying to see if You like it.

The Currambine phoned yesterday to check our numbers for tonight as we had booked for a large group. They wanted to check everyone in our party was showing up and, as we had a few cancellations, we adjusted our numbers. Unexpectedly, we had additional members front up to our booking. The staff did not bat an eyelid, they offered additional seats and served a superb meal to all at our large table within minutes of each other. Thank you so much to the staff for your very helpful service. We will definitely return.

Went there for lunch and they served me me a steak that was not fresh. it was borderline to rot. told staff and they did nothing then avoided eye contact with our table . i went and asked for the owner and she spoke to me so rude. didnt offer to replace or discount. not even an apology. disgusting service and even more a nasty owner. They needed to get trainednin customer service
