Kabalason has some of the best Indian food around. The buffet is outstanding value for money at only $19.90 for adults and $9.90 for children (under six eat for free). It includes an excellent selection of Indian starters (bhaji, vadais, etc). There was an wide selection of mains tonight which consisted of two chicken curries, two beef, two lamb and about four different (possibly more), vegetable dishes, including dhal. All of his curries have thick, rich, beautifully spiced gravies and the selection was different to the first time I went. Tonight they had naan bread and four different types of rice (biryani, plain, yellow and pilau), plus pappadums. They also had dessert (gulab jamuns, barfi and fruit).
One small area for improvement would be to be a bit quicker on the drinks service, but that’s not a difficult one to fix.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from one of our customers and it was everything he told us about and better. The food was very delicious and flavoursome. We had the buffet dinner and I don't think there's anywhere in Perth that would come close to this restaurant for value for money. The variety of the buffet was unbelievable and to taste authentic Indian cuisine was fantastic. We will definately be returning to Kabalason's in the near future and also recommending this place to family and friends. Thanks to the friendly staff and great chefs.

Excellent family run Resturant food was lovely and the cheapest beer in Perth down side to the Resturant needs a bit more atmosphere lighting is to bright like sitting in a football stadium at night with the flood lights on also I don't think there is any need to have 3 large tv screens showing programmes put some Indian music on create a bit of ambiance turn the lighting down apart from that well done to the owners great Little. The curries are so tasty, you can just eat the gravy with a big pile of chapatis! One of those shops where the curries really do taste different to one another. Also makes an excellent dosa.
Really recommend the dinner specials, a serve of curry, rice, naan and papads enough for two. One of the better deals around town.
His naans and rotis are superb, rolled fresh and done in the tandoori as you order.
Still my "go-to" shop for Indian food after all these years!
Love this place since they started and it's so much cleaner and newer after their recent renovation. Staff are friendly but not too well trained. Their chicken briyani is really really good, best in WA hands down!
This is the best curry house I have been to in WA by far. Im a pom in Perth ad for years I thought that it was impossible to get a great curry here in WA, we searched high and low for something that resembled the quality of Indian food we are used to back home in the UK, the Kabalason is exactly that! What a hidden Gem! The prices are fantastic and the food is something else. Dont be put of by the basic outlay of the venue itself, its not dressed to impress but you will not be disappointed. If you like sloppy tasteless shopping mall curries then dont bother going here but if you like genuine Indian cuisine packed with flavor and texture then this is the place for you.
The owner can make you a vegan curry. I suggest asking for the potato jalfrezi, no dairy no meat, you won't regret it. Portions are a GREAT size and totally worth the money during lunch hours. Sometimes the staff does not understand well which is a bummer, but just ask for the owner if there's any trouble, he's a cool dude and he's got that joint down👌 #1st best curry place around, with a great authentic Indian taste.
Love this Indian , it's a wee grubby looking place but the food is dynamite , they do a lunch time special curry & rice & a can of soda for $12 and the curry is falling off your plate ! And when you ask for it hot ! It comes hot ! Not like warm like others! It's like a back in the UK curry house
Love this place. . Their chicken Pakoras and biryani are to die for... This is our regular takeout when we have people over...the staff are very friendly and service good... Would recommend this to everyone!
Best Butter Chicken!. I try butter chicken at every Indian restaurant and Kabalason still has the best butter chicken in my opinion. Malai Kofta is also a standout dish for me.
The meals are getting pricey but all the items we order are consistently delicious so this place is always a winner!
Well worth the visit. After tossing up between Red Turban and Kabalason, I opted for Kabalason and have no regrets. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Badami Korma,Dhal Tarka and some plain rice as a takeaway option.
All meals came steaming hot and full of flavour. Definitely shall be returning to try more on the menu.
I'm a regular. My partner and I eat there almost once a week. We are both Vegans and we always ask the cook to make us Potato Jalfzezi and it's so nice of them to make it for us every time! If you are Vegan you can definitely come to this restaurant. I have been around the world and tried many different Indian restaurants (they are my favorite cuisine) and this place makes one of the BEST Jalfrezi sauces we have ever tried. We NEVER go to a different curry place here in Australia as the Indian places simply suck (once I even have gotten a virus from the food). If you guys are reading this thank you so much for making our vegan Jalfrezi :) I love how much sauce you give and how our plates are always full to the max!!!
Eaten here several times and never disappointed! Went last night (24/11/13) and had a delicious meal - highly recommend the Goan Fish curry & Kashmiri naan!! Staff were very friendly. Local favourite!
If you are into fancy restaurant decor go somewhere else but if you know your indian food and want it to taste how it is meant to with all the requried spices added, treat yourself,and to all you so called indian restaurants in the northern suburbs take note, this is the real deal

Haven't had Indian food for a long time and 2 evenings ago the Mrs. said we should go to Kabalason since it's only distant from home.
We both share a Meat Talli and a dinner special (Butter chicken with Rice). We waited for nearly 20 minutes for the dishes to arrive as it was a busy night but it was well worth waiting for. I didn't mind one bit at all.
This is just a simple, basic cafe-style restaurant, but staff is friendly and food is absolutely delicious. The serves are reasonable big and they came with a can of complimentary soft drink on each of the dish we've ordered.
A Hidden Treasure in Joondalup indeed, and we highly recommend it to any one who has never been there.
Happy Customers will be back again some time very soon.
Great Food And Good Value for Money. Every time we think of having Indian food this Kabalason Restaurant at Joondalup always come to mind. The last we went was 3 weeks ago. Visiting friends from eastern states thought they'd like to try our curry in WA so we brought them to Kabalason last Saturday evening and they reckon it was the best they've had, even the ones in Melbourne can't beat this. We ordered 2 Meat Tali, 1 Vegetarian Tali, and 2 of their dinner specials for 7 and there was plenty to eat. To top with that each meal comes with a can of complementary soft drink and water for all. You've done it again Kabalason. Keep up the good work and hope your price continue to stay reasonable.

None Better. I have been to just about every Indian restaurant in Perth, and quite a few overseas as well, and I can honestly say, Kabalason is the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. It's a big call, but I'm more than willing to stand behind it. This place easily beats the cuisine of the more upmarket Indian restaurants in and around Perth City and Subiaco. The pricing is competitive, and reasonable, especially at lunch time. There is another Indian restaurant directly next to Kabalason, and every lunchtime, it's completely empty whilst Kabalason is near full. Speaks for itself really. I cannot recommend this place enough.
YUM!. I can't remember ever having better curry, even in England. The decor is pretty basic, but this is a place you go for the food. Fantastic value, especially the lunch specials. I go at least once a month.

7 out of 10. I got take away from Kabalason a few months ago for my partner, he is a massive curry & chilli fan but finds most places are not hot enough, I explained this to the waitress and she told me she would make it extra hot for him... indeed she did, he loved it. the restaurant is severely lacking in decor and space so if you are looking for somewhere to go out to eat I wouldn't recommend but for take aways definately, the food and service is great & value for money too.
