Review Curry Affair - Joondalup

We went there last night for dinner, too many options to choose from but very few vegetarian options in the buffet. Great quality food and friendly staff!

I stumbled upon this place 2 weeks ago by chance. Love the food - authentic Indian food I have not had in years. My family and I tried the buffet which was excellent - they even did fresh South Indian Dosa's for us which I have not had in 15 years. The food reminds me of the type of food I had when at family gatherings growing up in Delhi. The price is very reasonable and the staff very polite and efficient. All in all an excellent experience and we will be regular customers.

Buffet for only 25 dollars each. Am told beer is sold at lower cost. Very good spread and definitely good quality meat. My friends are repeat visitors. Definitely a safe place to have an affair with and bring your spouse too if he or she is an Indian curry lover. Decor is quite classy. It is quiet but well frequented. Was there in early Spring and the roads and houses gave a romantic ambience with the nippy weather and chilly winds. Love my monthly curry affair.

One of the best Indian resteraunts we have been too. The food was well presented, clearly labeled and there was plenty. It was very tasty and reasonably priced. Just one criticism we attended the banquet and we found had to use the same plate to go back to get more food. We would have preferred to have clean plates between serves. We will definitely be back.

Edited: went back on 13 Nov for the evening buffet. Three of us all liking different things and strength of spiciness. Great choices, food was hot and tasty and great value for $20 per head. Only suggestion would be to have more than one mild accompaniment option - perhaps a cucumber raita and warm the plates!! Great curry and pricing. The buffet deal looks great, we had Takeaway. Open through the afternoon too.

Had the buffet for lunch ($15). Every single item was watered down. Virtually no flavour in any of the curries. Poor quality food. My friend and I both felt sick after eating the buffet. It was not worth a single penny. I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their health and wants to taste authentic Indian cuisine.

I bought a coupon on groupon for an all you can eat lunch for two. I thought it would be a cute little place to go for a date but I was miserably mistaken. It is poorly decorated and the service was poor. The food was okay, I tried all the dishes and liked two dishes and the naan. I felt so embarrassed to have taken my partner there for lunch and was so upset. It wasn't for me but it is good for an inexpensive quick stop if you like all Indian food and it's not for a specific occasion.

Exceptionally good food. Went to lunchtime buffet on Thu, arrived 13.15. Place almost empty, we ate and ate and ate. Great choices of meat and vegetarian dishes. Loooved the butter chicken. Feeling sorry for all the people who had bad experiences. Maybe give another chance? We will certainly be back. Soon!

I really enjoyed majority of my curries. A few were a Lil bland but out of 24 dishes majority were lovely. Felt there weren't enough mild dishes to cater to general public ( my husband not a spicy person) which is a shame. Huge upside is that the meat was not dry as most Indian buffet places are. But then again best to go when food is fresh. Ultimately I really enjoyed my food as it had a good spice to it but not overly spicy. Even got in on the free drink promo which was cool. Will be trying lunch menu to compare.

The food lacked flavour it was just a range of bland food with different levels of hotness. The meat was of poor quality very fatty. The temperature of food in the Bain Marie was only just warm. Ordered a lemon lime and bitters it was just water with syrup added and was so sweet it was undrinkable. When complained about our meals they said would only charge $20 per person, after looking on FB page this is the current promotion price anyway so they were already trying to rip us off $5 per head to start with. Very dissatisfied and will not return and definitely don't recommend

We tried their lunch buffet last weekend. Great variety of food in the buffet. Lots of different meat and vegetarian options. Great value for the price you pay. Defintely recommend everyone to try

Had the buffet lunch, I'm not keen on curries with meat on the bone, too much picking at it for me. Seems to be the norm is OZ to be served like this. Some dishes were OK, veggie curry's were bland and hardly a dessert option. Can't say I'll be going back I'm afraid.

Poor service today! Limited buffet didn't include drinks as advertised and had too many conditions, like everyone in the table must have same options and limited drinks with 25 dollar buffet options. 25 dollar buffet doesn't include Dosa! We ordered 4 dosa but chef told us he will serve us two?? My husbands dosa came with a price tag in his dosa and he loss his appetite definitely won't be recommending this place.

Went in for lunch with my family, after a recommendation from a friend and boy was I impressed. The buffet spread was good with lots of variety and you could see that each dish was fresh. The dishes tasted fresh as well and were absolutely tasty. Authentic Indian tastes all the way. I started with the Tandoori Chicken and wow, that did it for me. Loved the fact that each dish was labelled with markers to warn patrons of the degree of "chilli hotness". I like fiery hot, so that was not for me, but it was helpful for the younger family members who needed to know what dishes they could handle. Perfect spot for a family celebration or event. Staff were very friendly and were on hand to answer questions and to check that you were having a swell time too. Highly recommended.

Don’t usually eat Asian or Indian food outside Asia, for the same reason I don’t eat western food when I’m in Asia, but this was pretty good, loved the condiments but I do have a soft spot for mango/lime chutney. Even washed it down with “headache in a bottle” (kingfisher beer).

We've had the buffet a couple of times now and we want to keep going! The food is delicious, service is warm and attentive, there's a good variety, and they kindly label everything with a spiciness level to help the uninitiated not have their hair fly off unexpectedly. My only gripe is that one time there were no gulab jamun at the dessert station. What they had was yummy but there's no substitute for gulab jamun. 😁

A hidden gem in Joondalup serving some of the yummiest Indian food. The food both veg and non veg are fantastic and it is self service. Eat as much as you want and pay just 15 dollars. Would recommend to those who love Indian Food for their authenticity. You will never walk away disappointed.
