Review Nando's - Joondalup

Overall not the best Nandos experience. Long wait and kids chicken pitas were cold. Initially we sat at the back of the restaurant but had not noticed some chairs blocking off half the seated area. We were asked to move and told they had decided to close this area. Half a restaurant closed with a row of seats does not look great but assume, COVID?!? Once sitting at the front there was a friendly staff member who kept coming back to check on us. There seemed to be a crazy amount of orders being made for delivery and it was a good 30mins or so before we got our order! The longest I have ever waited in any Nandos anywhere and then when the kids chicken pitas arrived they were cold! Luckily the guy who came to check on our meals was only too pleased to get it replaced, think you save our experience! Thank you! Part way through our order I looked up and saw a couple sitting eating KFC at a table and putting Nandos sauce onto it.

Ordered a Classic Burger and was alittle bit disappointed. Mainly because the bread was dry, and the top of the bread sorta caved in. The chicken was okay, sauce was okay. Not a bad place, but I was starving so just sort of disappointed me. I have been to other Nando places and that was good, Joondalup sort of gaved way. As though, the cashier lady was super nice when I ordered.

Useless. Went in for my lunch break, i have client based work so have no flexibility. Ordered a simple half chicken combo. 25 minutes later, no food and the grill is empty. I approach the counter and they realise their mistake. I say I have no time to wait now, and asked for a refund. The server said they could not do this as there was no manager onsight. Either refunding the eftpos or providing cash was not possible withoit their approval, and they made no offer to contact them. Instead, I was asked to leave my details and now have to chase up my own refund. I have never been to an establishment that makes it impossible for employees to fix point of sale issues. If this is not the policy, this staff member needs retraining. If this is the policy it is a stupid policy, especially for a place with a high number of low value sales. The risk of authorizing employees to process refunds is next to none. The idea this is impossible without a manager present is ridiculous, and now i have waste even more of my time to get a refund, on top of not getting to eat lunch today. Complete waste of my time. Not coming back here and will advise people not to.

We ordered for some "seriously" large peri peri chips. The order was made quick and the chips were hot and fresh.

Just went in there with partner and daughter. Staff refused to take order saying to do via QR code. Not all fones can order through QR code and to top it of after sending us back to our table without taking our order he took an order of another customer. Lazy? Favoritism? I don't know what it was but poor effort for sure.

Food is good, but it takes a lot of time, I wait more than an hour for my order

I ordered 4 tenders got 2 cut in half. Very disappointed. Also my paella came with veggie patty instead of chicken. I already check my order before I leave the restaurant but I shouldn’t have to look inside the box too.

Girlfriend hospitalized due to food poisoning. Inadequate storage of cold chicken. Not good enough. Better training for young staff on how to prepare food and basic hygiene is a definite need for improvement here.

You never get the same food everytime you go. Very little mayo n sauces in the pitas. Same with the peri peri powder om the chips. Young staff who dont care. Just bothered about chatting away n laughing. Mgmt need to look into this " non" nandos food they serve n the bad service as well.

This is our local restaurant and it's sad to say it has slipped from when we first started going. We ordered 6 meals on Saturday for lunch and no one enjoyed their meals. Small portions of chicken in the burgers and wraps, salad wasn't washed properly. Not good value for the money. We also found that 3 of the 4 sauce bottles were blocked and the vinegar bottle had a fly floating in it. We will try the Wanneroo restaurant next see how they go.

When leaving I spoke to the young lady that had greeted us at the door when we arrived because the service we received from her was such a delight. We were all amazed that we had walked into a Nandos store and had been greeted and given menus when we found our table this service is such a rarity. Well done Joondalup Nanados.

Worst nandos .! 4 chicken tenderloins about 2cm long each. Still hungry after a $20.00 meal.!

Items missing from order

Nothing to complain about! The service was quick and it was quite busy. Ordered a veggie wrap, classic wrap and a classic burger all were delicious. Defintely would recommend this nandos!

Most satisfying burger to ever hit my belly. Ordered a Ginger beer along with Chicken BLT extra spicy, great combination and the chips complete the combo. Would love to visit again.

It was average. The CBLT was good, my brother had no complaints with the 1/4 Chicken, but this time and the last time we were here, they drowned to Peri-Peri chips in the salt. They were almost inedible, and we considered bringing it up with the manager. We were literally shaking Peri-Peri salt off of the chips.

The tastiest, freshest chicken in Joondalup city. The food comes out fast and the place is nice and clean. Cant beat it for bite of chicken!

Friendly staff, this was the first time trying the mushroom burger and it was honestly bland, no real flavour from the mushroom at all. But as always The Nandos chicken is perfect :)

Have visited this restaurant occasionally over many years. Always happy with the food and service, the decor could use a major overhaul though. The ribs/tenders meal would be a definite favourite of mine, always cooked a bit crispy on the outside but still tender in the middle. (Just how I like it!) Worth visiting if you are looking for your chicken fix!

Love coming here for nandos. They have a big car park behind the restaurant so there is always close parking. Chicken is always cooked good.

When did Nandos lift their game?! Olives and hummus as appetisers?! Whoa. This Nandos was packed. Chicken is the new black huh?! Seemingly so. Food tastes epic as well ;)

One of my favourite places to eat. Staff always friendly and even remember my order and the food is usually amazing! I visit on a weekly basis and I've only ever once been disappointed with the food and the staff quickly rectified the problem.

Last time I have been there I ordered Veggie Supremo burger expecting something really great with nice hot peri peri source. When I got my order it looked very nice and delicious. However as soon as I tasted my burger the veggie patty was pretty terrible, it tasted like flour with some vegetables. There was no flavour, poorly seasoned! If Nandos don't change their veggie patty I will not eat there. <br/><br/>On the other hand, the chips were nice. The staff were friendly and atmosphere is great

1 person takin orders on a Friday night. Called to make a phone order- put on hold for over 5mins until I hung up. When I arrived in person to make my order, I told girl I was forgotten about on phone - no apology, only told that they short staffed (on a Friday night, she was only person taking orders- not good enough). I thought that's what casual staff were supposed to be good for- flexible for any shift. Clearly not at this establishment<br/><br/>Had to bounce between terminals coz eftpos machine didn't work. A good meal starts with good service. Lift your game Nandos

Good service and super burgers

I really enjoy the fresh tasting food at nandos. Pros: always fresh, friendly service and I love the fact that the kilojoules are clearly displayed on the menu. Cons: tables need a good wipe, floors a good wash. I don't mind the 10 minute wait because there is a sign that warns you the food is prepared fresh, so there is a bit of a wait. Make use of the membership card because the points you accrue go towards getting $ taken off the cost of your next meal. We are loyal nandos customers. It would be lovely if they could ask their staff to clean up more regularly. Don't get me wrong, it's not filthy- rather new stickiness (fresh crumbs from the same day) that comes with lots of customers.

It has gone over an extensive makeover, however unfortunately the service, and the wait times are still pretty terrible. Hit and miss with overlooked chicken as well. And it's impossible to get through on the phone line. Seems like a lack of management? Anyway, hope it picks up.

Great tasting food, especially love their slightly scorched corn side dish. Very slow service however.

This goes for ALL Nandos. You don't even get chips with the meal anymore. The burgers tiny piece of chicken on a giant bun and a whole heap of salad. Same goes for the pita pockets. And it's all SO expensive for what you're actually getting. Crap.

Thank goodness there are other's. I love the food of Nando's so I'm forever thankful there are outlets other than Joondalup's. There is no question the food is great, although it seems the children serving it are really only reheating it. It's just that shall we say the place hasn't seen the efforts of a decent cleaner in so long your always watching for something to crawl out from under something, or your skirt to stick to the seat when you get up!<br/>If you go, have it take-away!

If you're after the Portuguese Paella. ..consider going round the lake to Wanneroo. It's always oddly moist from Joondalup for some reason. Otherwise go hog wild :)<br/>As with any Nandos outlet, there may be trace amounts of gluten in the peri peri basting on your chicken. This is noted on their ingredients list. Opt out or admit that the flavour is worth a tiny intestinal risk :)

Typical Nandos experience. Food always cooked to perfection. Bright fun staff and a lot of colourful patrons around. Food ready in good time (not fast)
