Superb! Ordered four different meals and all of them are delicious. Can't wait to try the rest on the menu. It has good service too.

Off the Beaten Track Found this place on google maps and had to try it after seeing the reviews. I had the Tasmania bowl and my wife had the Special Udon Bowl (Tofu & Vegetable Tempura). Food and service were excellent. Look forward to returning.

Had a most satisfying lunch here. Staff were really friendly, and food presented really well. The KFC burger (Korean fried chicken) had this amazing sauce that was just divine. Even the humble sounding Katsu sandwich was so good! I will definitely have get back to try the other dishes. The only problem is that it's only open for lunches, and only on weekdays! Edit: second visit and tried another two dishes. Again, the experience was good and the dishes were really satisfying. More reason to return to try others

A bit far from the city center but worth a try. Very small Japanese brunch, delicious meals, desserts are also recommended

Chirashi poke bowl was flavoursome. Spicy chicken bowl was a bit bland and sauce was on sweeter side.

Food was amazinggg. Salad was fresh, perfect with sauce. I love the matcha latte, exact what I’ve been looking for. One of my favourite spot now!

So happy to find this gem nor, staff are very friendly and food was really yummy. We had the match latte, korean fried chicken burger, tokyo plate and strawberry shortcake. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back to try the earl grey cake and Sesame latte which both looked amazing! Definitely recommend.

I heard so many good reviews from friends about this place that I HAD to make the hour long drive to get there. And I WAS NOT disappointed. The staff was polite, the food looked great and tasted good!

One of our new favourites. The serving sizes are just right, excellent presentation and consistent quality as you would expect from Japanese speaking staff and yet very reasonably priced. You can always order gyosas or extra side dishes if you are extra hungry. I would love to see other dessert choices. It’s a small place which can get quite busy but don’t let that turn you off...

Both my best friend's and my go-to Japanese Cafe. I cannot believe it is not rated higher!!! Service is always super friendly and all dishes on the menu are always so so satisfying. Will be coming to this Cafe for the many years to come!

Katsu chicken sandwich was amazing. The baos tasted great but were a bit difficult to eat. Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu

Bulgogi plate was good but could have been less oily. Very good coffee. Friendly service. Would love to return to try other dishes on their diverse menu.

Easily the best brunch in Perth. Had been coming here for 2 years and addict to the place. The staffs is extremely friendly and helpful, the price is reasonable (kinda cheap) with extraordinary food, every dish come with love and passion. The staffs have an eye for detail, go out of their way to help you. A hidden gem.

The food was great!! Worth the 30 minutes the trip over. Ohh and the service was excellent. Ordered tiramisu but didn’t come out due to it being not good enough and I got my refund and a free cake!

Accommodating staff on a very hot day. The place is really small but they try their hardest to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

The food is awesome. Presentation is A++ and the taste is delicious. Come here for a good breakfast / lunch!! You can tell they put a lot of effort into the food.

Wow... amazing food... perfect service... lovely neighbourhood location... book before you go as it’s small and very busy... this has to be one of the best little eateries in Perth...😋😋😋
Easily one of the best places to eat in the NS (interesting and good quality eateries are far and few between up this way since It’s more or less awash with chain fast food and shopping centres that all have the same things)

had the beef bulgogi eggs Benedict, poke bowl and a matcha iced green tea, everything was A+++

People complaining about the time it took for the meal to arrive or the price (which is very very reasonable) can go back to dome if that’s going to bother them. Good quality food takes time (which wasn’t even that long anyway)

Small little cafe/restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff were friendly and the food was interesting and quite yummy. More of a Japanese/Korean fusion, but well executed.

We ordered the katsu chicken curry rice, the gochujang pork rice and the salmon sushi burger.

Katsu chicken curry was dissapppinting. The curry sauce was lacking flavour and spice compared to a typical Japanese curry - tasted more like a mild gravy. All the other components were well executed tho.

The gochujang pork rice was recommended by one of the ladies, and turned out absolutely delicious. The pork was well marinated and cooked, slightly sweet with the perfect kick of spice, generous portions. I couldn’t get enough of their roasted kale! It was crispy and light, and oh so flavoursome too. Kimchi was good too (considering I normally don’t like kimchi myself). Pickles were a nice touch, and a combination of every element was a delightful bite.

The sushi burger was interesting, and quite yummy. It consists of salmon sashimi, avocado and greens, wrapped in crisped rice wrapped in a sheet of seaweed. Eat bite was a nice balance of crispiness and softness. The “burger” was served along with some crispy lotus, kale and sweet potato(?). Nice change to your traditional potato chips.

Overall, well worth the drive far up north.

OEC crispy chicken bowl and katsu chicken curry both yummy and really reasonable price. Will be back for sure. Only down side is that it took a little while to order and get the food but worth waiting.

OEC Sushi serves quality food…. but be prepared to pay a fair bit when you’re done eating.
We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Burger, and the Salmon Burger, and we got a sandwich made of seaweed, rice, avocado, and Chicken/Salmon. The food itself was nice, but came with no drinks, or sides, and cost $15/$16 respectively. Thank god they offer free water too, since the drinks they offered were quite pricey too.
Personally felt a bit deceived when I look at their menu too, since I figured the “Sushi “ in their name implied Japanese food. And while they have sushi too, the bulk of the food on the menu was korean. (Staff were all korean from what I could tell too). If I’d seen the menu online before hand, I probably wouldn’t have gone.

The food was nice, but contrasted with the cost there’s plenty of better alternatives nearby.

I think it is a JP cafe owned by Korean ppl. OEC(oishii) means yummy in Japanese, so I thought I might get authentic JP food, but the cafe decor was full of Korean. I was little disappointed. I tried Korean meal to avoid further disappointment, and it was nice. It’s better go here to have Korean meal.

Foods good, fresh and tasty. Its different and fun. Peaceful location and friendly staff. The chees cake is insane. Like literally insane. Get it. Trust me

Quaint place for lunch. Food is delicious with many flavours blending together to delight the taste buds. Recommend the Seoul Beef Bowl and Tasmania Bowl.

The food here is addictive, whether it's chilli scrambled eggs at breakfast time, a snack of Chashu Bao or a full on spicy pork Seoul bowl, the taste experience is fantastic.
True depth of flavour comes from genuine talent and attention to detail, both of which the owner/chef at OEC demonstrates with every dish served.

The 5 senses coffee blend served here has a really nice flavour and is noteworthy as its not something found in other cafes in the area.
Service is consistently friendly and given with a sense of caring.

Japanese Cafe OEC Sushi is a gem of a cafe and is a must-visit destination.

Aesthetics of the food here is top notch. Food is very tasty and filling too! My friends and I got the Seoul bowl with gochujang pork, crispy chicken bowl and chicken katsu curry bowl. We also got a side of lotus chips! The only downside is that they were really busy and the table was only cleaned 10 min after we were seated. Also food took nearly half an hour to be served but the staff were apologetic and served us complimentary takoyaki. Would love to try more of their menu but will probably come during less busy hours.

Been here many times and the food has never disappointed and the customer service is always fantastic. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.
We had the Spicy Bulgogi Egg Benedict and the Crispy Chicken Bowl, both were amazing.
Highly recommend this place if you have not tried it before.

We gave this restaurant a try as the reviews seem good and the photos seem interesting. They are attentive to details and their presentations. It is a more refined Japanese restaurant in north of river of Perth. They offer some interesting dishes and drinks. However, the portion of each dish is quite small and the prices are way higher than most Japanese restaurants in NoR. I tried the Raw Salmon Rice Burger and the taste was quite confusing as it didn't taste like Japanese food nor Western food. However, the Takoyaki was authentic as compared with most other Japanese restaurants. Also the restaurant is very tiny. It won't be my regular restaurant.

I had my first "sushi burger"experience here, with salmon and avocado inside, it was yum! Friend got the chicken katsu curry. The place is tucked in Joondalup suburbia. They do all day breakfast and a lunch menu from 10:30am so plenty to choose from, menu-wise. The matcha latte was really nice, with good quality matcha and not too sweet. Looking forward to going back to try more of their menu soon. Thanks OEC it was "oishii" 👍😘

So glad we stumbled on this little gem! It's a small cafe serving up a mix of Japanese and fusion food. The menu is interesting and food beautifully presented. We tried the popcorn chicken doughnut, chirashi poke bowl and salmon sushi burger.

Popcorn chicken doughnut was a sweet n savoury combo of katsu chicken bites, a Krispy Kreme original glazed, caramel popcorn, strawberries, grapes, maple and a sprinkle of parmesan. It needed a little more savoury and maybe a sauce as it was a tad dry. Maybe a miso caramel?

Poke bowl was beautifully presented and delicious and salmon sushi burger was interesting with fried brown rice patties as a bun! Definitely worth checking out!

Fantastic food and great customer service. The menu is creative and gourmet. The flavouring and presentation of the dishes are always spot on.

Fresh and flavourful fusion of Korean and Japanese flavours.
Beautifully presented with cheerful and friendly service. The flavours are unique and excellent, the serving sizes are large and filling.
Dining can be limited due to small floor space, but the takeaway is always a solid option.
I have brought multiple friends here and none have been disappointed.
Stand out dishes: Kyu Katsu (dinner menu), Seoul Beef Bowl, and the Chirashe Poke Bowl.

Could it be that Joondalup is finally getting some good restaurants?

This place does great contemporary fusion food incorporating Korean and Japanese flavours with little touch of Western cuisine here and there.

I had the crab burger, which was delicious, the little pickles on the side we're excellent: sharp with a hint of fennel and all spice.

We tried the Prawn bao (delicious) and the udon soup, which had free range eggs. It's good to see people who care about where their food comes from. It's also nice that when we asked if they used free range eggs we weren't greeted with a black stare like we get at so many restaurants in Perth.

They also have a great looking breakfast menu and they make a perfect flat white.

I can't wait to go back for breakfast -make sure you go with a group of friends who like to share so you can pick of each others plates.

Everything at this cafe is made with love and it shows.

It was cozy Japanese style cafe, but there are a lot of awesome food and variety of coffee. They have such lovely non-coffee option like Turmeric latte, beetroot latte and Japanese traditional matcha. Japanese sashimi and sushi roll was ssooo yum and fresh. I can't explain how was great!!! if you want to try something new you should check it out!! In addition you can go for wonderful dinner on Friday and Saturday. Also the staff are very friendly and lovely~~😍😍

Nice little cosy place in Joondalup with a Japanese ambience. I had the "Chirash poke bowl" with fresh salmon and plenty of green which is healthy and not too heavy. My friend had the "Charsiu Bao" looks delicious and light. We finish off with Freshly baked "Cocoa Brownie" was so yummy with a lovely Chai and delicious "matcha". The staff was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely back with friends for dinner and try other dish.

So glad we found this little hidden gem. Had spicy bulgogi egg Benedict and OEC Korokke. Both are very tasty and yummy. Coffee is good as well. Would come back to try dinner next time.

Chashu bao was moist with yum pork belly. Dressing was perfect. Brekkie burger was hearty and delicious. Lotus chips were crispy. Green tea tiramisu was a new item for us and it was yum. Coffee was good too. Muffin (store bought)was ok.

I have visited here for 3 times, every time they serve attractive and mouth-watering food with amazing decorated coffee!! A bit a small cafe but very clean and neat, atmosphere is so nice as well. Staffs are very friendly and beautiful 😍😍. Even though the shop's location is bit far from city, might well find it on purpose!! It's your best bet!!👍🏻👍🏻

We found this place on Zomato and had breakfast there this morning. Lovely little cafe, big on flavour. Customer service was tops, very tentative and food didn't take long to come out. We had the Brekky Burger, Popcorn Chicken Doughnut, Caramel Latte & Green Tea Latte. Will come back soon to try their lunch menu!

So happy this lovely little gem has opened up in Joondalup , the menu is varied and exciting , especially love the Brekkie Burger with lotus chips on the side , divine and addictive ! The two sisters that run this place have service down to a fine art , always a warm welcome, great coffee and their chai latte with a special ginger taste is perfect . Great dinner menu on a Friday and Saturday evening too , love it !
