Second visit to Shingle Inn this time for breakfast.i had the avo smash with poached egg and bacon and a decaf coffee. Daughter had the goodness bowl with sour dough and a banana smoothie. Everything was tasty although not very hot just barely warm. Service was great servers are very personable and efficient.

Stopped in for a coffee while at Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre. Friendly Staff, quick service and good coffee and cake. Negative on the pricy side.

Service is great and the atmosphere is good, however the coffee is below average. My coffee was barely warm. The food is also of average quality in comparison to other cafes. It’s a pity because I really wanted to say good things about this place. The staff are friendly and provide a good service. Had a discount on the Entertainment Book hence I came. With improvements on fresher, better quality ingredients in the food, and better made coffees I might come back one day to try again.

Nice place but a bit pretentious. Staff refused my sister for being unvaccinated, even though we were away from others. I asked if those that can't be vaccinated due to medical reasons can sit in the restaurant and got no response

Not too bad. I’m happy with my burger and chips. Crunchy new chips. Coffee and tea is as good as Dome with cheaper price.

A busy cafe in the heart of Joondalup Shopping Centre. Stop in for coffee, breakfast, lunch or a high tea.

I fancied a sandwich for lunch, and Shingle Inn at Lakeside Mall always has nice gourmet sandwiches. I had eaten here before and found the food a little uncaringly constructed, but decided to give it another go, and this time we were pleasantly surprised. I chose a turkey and cranberry sandwich on multigrain. They helpfully made it without butter and spread mayo instead. It was really good with a nice quantity of avocado and turkey in the sandwich and a great side salad with honey mustard dressing.

I came here for a takeaway coffee and was really shocked by how rude the lady with the red hair on the til was. I only asked how many shots were in a small and this seemed to really annoy her and she continued to be really rude. Not what you expect.

Service was great however that's where it stops. The waffles were so thin and crispy that it was hard to cut into it. Pieces flying off the plate onto the table and floors after many attempts to cut into it. The butterscotch sauce for one was so thick it didn't even pour out of its sauce pot. The eggs Benedict with soft poach eggs was just over done. Some good points to add were the flavors were there in the food.

For Joondalup shopping centre, the food at this place is not bad value, and not bad tasting either. The coffee is nothing special though. Try the burgers, they are good.

Just had a Green Chai Latte & a Passionfruit Bombe cake. Was nice prices are a bit steep but. And they always seem to put the chairs away out the front at like 3pm and people still coming in. Doesn't make sense. The shops close at 5.30pm but they always put the chairs away to the side. Not everyone wants to sit upon one another. Seems silly

Traditional fish &chips 16.90 was nice only three skinny fillets of fish and for me too many chips as they were wedge size less chips little more fish would be better value just my opinion coffee was ok nothing speacial not the worst place to eat

Popped in for a quick lunch before shopping. Ordered $17 burger. Thought I had been given a slider by mistake. Over priced tiny portions. Don't go here if you are hungry.

Very disappointing. Waited for over 30 mins for food to be served. Smashed avocado was served without the poached egg and the waitress came back to take the dish away to add the egg back in to the dish. Coffee was average, and overpriced for such quality. Will not return.

Came to this place before a big day of shopping. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. However I didn't enjoy the coffee. It tasted like it had been diluted. If I had known I would have asked for an extra shot.

This place isn't bad. They have a very large menu, to the point we couldn't decide what to order and asked the lady if she could recommend anything instead. She recommended a few things, and we finally decided to go with a couple of them. Although after ordering and paying we were advised one wasn't available as they didn't have enough of the lamb and ended up choosing one another lady recommended.

The staff were friendly and patient, and the food turned out to be quite nice. Wouldn't mind going back, especially to try their high tea.

Nice place, bit tucked away from the main bustle which I liked. Ordered the soup of the day, pumpkin, which was really good. Perfect consistency and full of flavour, with toasted turkish bread on the side. Had a free bowl of apples at the counter for kids too which was a nice touch.

However, was disappointed with the kids meal (nachos) I ordered for my young daughter. Came on a board with guacamole and salsa in two small serving dishes on the side, corn chips with melted cheese piled in the middle. It looked so 'adult'. Not really that easy for a young child to manage, chips went everywhere and my daughter even ended up knocking the salsa off the board which fell on the floor. Salsa had a bit of a minor spice to it, borderline acceptable for my 4 year old, really it should just be plain. But the guacamole, it was full of chilli! It was even too much for me. I questioned if I was accidentally given the adult version, but they confirmed it was not. To their credit, after I complained they supplied a small bowl of just fork crushed avocado, but not the same. So she ate dry chips with fork crushed avocado. Perhaps good customer service would have seen them offer to refill the small bowl of salsa? To be honest I don't think anyone even noticed what happened, and they were not busy at the time at all.

Service was not terrible like other reviewers have experienced, but I wouldn't say it was the best either.

Dropped in this morning while waiting for a friend. Ordered coffee and a breakfast wrap. Lady behind counter was really nice.. Coffee was nice and wrap was fresh and eggs cooked just nice. Only thing I would complain about is that it's a bit pricy.. Would return 😊

The service was horrible and they took 30 mins for 3 coffees. Tastes bland. There is barely any coffee... mainly milk.
Would not recommend to ayone if they are thinking of having coffee.

Not Reccomended!
Had a horrible experience at this place! Firstly the service was crap, the lady behind the till was laughing as she served me and couldn't concentrate on what my order was. Second my smoothie took so long i had to go and ask where it was. Thirdly after ordering what i thought would be nachos, it came out as a handful of corn chips, some guacamole on the side and a TEACUP filled with mince so sloppy and oily it made me gag! My friend ordered the garlic mushrooms on toast which came out as ONE piece of soggy floppy bread with a few mushys on it!
Disgusting! Would never go back, or to another Shingle Inn chain cafe again.

Coffee was good. Had bacon and poached eggs with sour dough toast
Eggs were so vinegary I couldn't eat them. Bacon wasn't the worst I've had. The toast had so much butter/margarine on it was dripping.
Won't be back unless just for coffee.

3 of us Went and had lunch at this coffee shop and experienced terrible service, took to long to wait for our wraps and asked for our money back after waiting 25mins, we asked why it was taking so long for our meal and we got told because it was being made we then got told to leave And not come back? The manager was waving us out very rudely.. My chilled latte was the size of a extra small cup and I paid $5.60 for it! To much ice. Would not go back!!
