Always a great place to eat. The best Devonshire tea ever! Scones are so light and fluffy you won't be disappointed. The staff are so friendly and service is excellent. Our favorite cafe on Mt Dandenong by far.
Absolutely amazing! A group of 10 booked in for midday and this cafe was still happy to serve us breakfast! We raved on about the milkshakes and the food was spectacular, along with the view. Fantastic 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
Lovely cafe! Food was delicious, milkshakes were delicious and customer service was outstanding! Definitely recommend this place! View is also breathtaking 😍
Delicious food with amazing staff and stunning view, highly recommend
Amazing service .. food to die for and good coffee .. don't touch the chocolate brownies .. they're lethal one is not enough
Great cafe with beautiful views over the Dandenong ranges. The staff are super friendly and I would highly recommend to others!!
Brought mum here for Mother's day breakfast, great staff, food and coffee. Despite the café being busy one of the managers took the time to come to our table, wish mum a happy mother's and give her a lovely candle. Thank you, we will be back
Friendly staff, beautiful view, tasty food and wonderful Chinese art and bonsai garden
Lovely place for a afternoon tea. Scones the best I have ever had. Service great and atmosphere classic.
Proprietor very knowledgeable of local tourist locations. Also you must try the “Golden Turmeric Latte” so light and fluffy. Large selection of cakes etc. Well worth the stop.
Great views!
Great staff!
Great food!!
Highly recommend!
Great views, breakfast, ambiance , background music, beautiful Bonsai collection, helpful, friendly owners, couldn't do enough to make my friend, with a walker comfortable..
Cosy little cafe - food was very tasty (lovely to have a side salad with a little more sophistication than the mainstream lettuce tomato and cucumber - well done guys!). Menu has quite a good selection. The view out the window is an obvious winner! The staff were very friendly and served with a smile. Will be back again :)
Great cafe.
Hidden up in Mount Dandenong, great food & service.
If you ever go up there on a day trip definitely stop by.
Highly recommended!
We were driving up the mountain on a Sunday morning, in search of brunch. This was the first place we came across, so we stopped. What a great little find. Breakfast was excellent, my partner had bacon and eggs and I had eggs benedict. Both were cooked perfectly and the coffee was magnificent! The service was fast and friendly. We sat and enjoyed brunch, with a million dollar view of the reservoir out our window. Great place to stop if you're out doing the tourist thing.
Great views, the service is slow, but food is good for a cafe style venue. The salt and pepper squid was good!
Place was packed on a Sunday afternoon
Food 3.5, Surrounding 0.5. Nice little place with really soft fluffy scones. Definately worth a visit just for the view. Services are great and helpful.
Surprisingly good coffee. I had the big brekkie with baked beans. Everything was pretty good except slightly over cooked poached eggs and very greasy hash browns. But everything else watch great. Service was good and price was reasonable. Well done to this place. I will be coming back.
Not many places do scones but this little place does and they’re yummy. Nice fresh cream and tasty jam. Coffee wasn’t too bad and kids enjoyed hot chocolates with marshmallows. Staff are friendly and the cafe itself is cosy. Right on the corner of an amazing lookout so a great place to sit outside with a coffee on a nice day and they have the cutest little bonsai garden out the back.
Great cafe. There’s a cute as Bonsai garden out back and a cool view over the reservoir from the porch. Great cafe food - excellent coffee and first class staff very willing to do that little extra when needed. Very impressed. Stop for the view - enjoy the food. By the way best table is at the east end of the verandah :)
Amazing breakfast/coffee - with this view. Had the big breaky and everything was so tasty. Great serving size too. Coffee was hot and strong. Staff extremely friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Lovely setting, great service and the best Devonshire Tea in the Dandenongs! The scones were soft and light with just the right amount of jam and cream.
Usually you'd fly past this point up to the top of mt dandy but I already scouted this place out and stopped by with a friend to have lunch here on a beautiful day. The view is amazing as it overlooks the water reservoir and ranges. Destiny point cafe had furniture and decorations which much reminded me of my aunty's asian collection.
I had a flat white and big brekky whilst my friend had a hot choc and avocado & fetta smash. I noticed the scones and tea were quite popular with other customers during my wait. It did take a while for the food to arrive even though it wasn't very busy.
Big brekky was cooked and presented well. I could tell they used fresh oil, neat and very generous in portion and reasonable priced. Simple but hearty. Only comment was the way the milk was frothed for my latte. Beans are good and good strength, just needs improvement to make it more creamy rather than milky.
Such hospitable staff
Very accomodating
Menu was diverse and well priced
Food was served in timely manner and was very tasty
Aside from the stunning view you would not be disappointed with a nice meal at this restaurant
Vegan options very impressive
The view from here is amazing regardless of the weather. The update to clean up the interior is awesome and the food is great. All put together to make a really enjoyable brunch experience.
Absolutely loved our breakfast at destiny point cafe. The staff were so friendly upon welcome and all throughout service . Myself and my partner both had poached eggs and Avo smash and couldn't fault the dish ! We also saw the crepes come out and definitely got food envy . The view was beautiful , definitely worth a stop by if you are in the area
Must visit cafe on your trip to dandemong! Amazing food especially minestrone soup and Lindt-lime and raspberry cheesecake ! 🙂
Ambience and location peaceful and serene. Friendly staff .
Lovely Devonshire tea . Fresh and warm scones with cream and jam are the best ! We had the smash avocado taste really good too . Staffs are very friendly and cheerful . A place makes you feel cozy . Good food , good view , great people . X
Beautiful cafe, what a lovely view. The owners are incredibly warm and accommodating. I recommend the avocado smash, it is amongst the best I've had.
Dropped by after a hike at 1000 steps and very glad we did so! It's just a short drive up from 1000 step and the roads up there was a bit scary but definitely worth! Lovely and patient staff with great service and great breakfast / lunch options. We opted for the falafel burger and veggie brekky and the scones. The scones were HANDS DOWN THE BEST IVE HAD! The homemade jam especially was so good we even had to ask if they sold it to take home! Unfortunately they don't sell it to take out but now I've got another reason to come up to the mountains to do a bit of hiking before indulging in their scrumptious scones! Definitely make sure you order the scones when you're here! :)
Dropped into the cafe for a nice lunch with wife and child. It was busy. Got a table then waited and waited. After awhile I ordered at the counter and realised that's what it said to do at the counter. That out of the way the BLT soon arrived - fabulous and my wife's pumpkin and chickpea burger was excellent and even the nuggets and chips deserve a mention. Overall very happy and will be back.
What a quaint little cafe nearby a great lookout in the Dandenongs! Offering inside and outside seating with fantastic views! Had their homemade scones accompanied by generous servings of homemade jam and cream. It was divine!
One of the best places to get either a meal or afternoon tea. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel very welcomed. Making sure you and happy with where you are seated. If a better table comes available they see if you would like to change. Service is very fast. All the meals are tasty and very fresh. The Devonshire tea are terrific. Have recommended this cafe to many people as it does deserve top marks.
Went there today and what a lovely enjoyable experience it was! Great food (both fresh and tasty), with a broad range of options on offer that you would expect from a cafe larger than this. Includes an all day breakfast menu, mains, kids menu, cakes, pies and Devonshire Tea. The cafe has charm with eclectic character and relaxing cafe music playing in the background. The table service was prompt and the staff were very friendly. The cafe sits on a corner overlooking amazing views which can be enjoyed sitting either inside or outside the cafe. As an aside, there are lookout points / landings directly across the road on both ends of the corner for those who like soaking in the beauty of the Dandenong Ranges. I was very happy to have stumbled across this place today during my tour of the area with my young family.
This place has had several changes of name and ownership over the years. Sometimes it's been good, and sometimes pretty poor. So I was keen to try it in its latest incarnation.
I've wondered why it keeps changing hands as the setting is idyllic in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Weekends have plenty of tourists, but perhaps weekday trade isn't so good. The views from the cafe are lovely. The new owners have renovated and the place looks better than when I last visited.
I got the BLT. To be honest my expectations weren't too high, but it was actually one of the best I've ever had! The bread was super fresh, soft and warm, and had just the right amount of crispiness on the outside. The fillings were really delicious too. Coffee was on point. I will happily come back.
Was lucky to get a last minute reservation for 2 on Father's Day for a late lunch.
This place was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for. A quaint little place with some cosy seating inside and a few spots outside and divine views.
I had the smashed avocado, poached eggs, tomato and bacon and my mum had homemade Zuchinni and corn fritters with smoked salmon. Both were absolutely divine - all fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Coffee was delicious and came out extra hot just like I requested. The view was awesome from our little window seat.
Staff were friendly, despite being run off their feet for Father's Day. They advised us before ordering of a 30 minute wait, which we appreciated knowing in advance.
Very much looking forward to heading back and showing this place off to a friend or two with their lovely food, good service and perfect nature views.
An inexpensive cafe that offers generous portions, and good food. The menu is a little pedestrian, but sufficient, with some vegetarian choices. Service is very friendly and efficient, and the decor is basic but modern. Outside tables offer scenic views of Silvan Reservoir and surrounding ranges.
Really great place. The decor is excellent with super views. The menu is very good and the quality will not disappoint. Certainly worth a try.
Lovely spot with killer views!!
Our breakfast was good (with lots of choice on the menu) and great coffee. Friendly staff and very clean.
We will definitely be back again!
Really lovely afternoon at the cafe! Presentation is gorgeous and food was tasty. Love the ambiance of the place, great decoration and friendly staff. The Devonshire tea for two with scones was a great deal. This place deserves a better rep.
Excellent service, excellent food and coffee, excellent views!
They are also flexible with the menu, although it may cost you a little extra.
Terrific staff, terrific view, terrific food and coffee at sensible prices in clean and tasteful surroundings.
Sitting on the front verandah taking in the Silvan Reservoir view who could ask for more.
We came across this little cute cafe in Mount Dandenong . The place has awesome food and view. The staffs are very friendly and it is family and pets friendly.
It has great sitting outside area to enjoy the view. Not too far from the city . The steak sandwiches with beer battered chips are my favorite. Definitely will be back again with friends.
