Review The Finch Cafe - Katherine

Accessible from the main street, it also has a delightful shaded outdoor area out the back. Friendly staff, good coffee and a great vibe. The menu looks healthy and servings generous and delicious. A place you must stop in when visiting Katherine, Be aware of it's 2pm closing time!

Great cafe, great coffee and their garden area is a nice place to relax. Food and coffee is well priced and they have a nice pizza night on a Friday.

Just happened upon this little gem in Katherine. Was a door to another world off the Main Street. Bun Coffee is one of our favourite Aussie coffees. The food was also on point. Orange and Almond Cake 10/10, my Pecan Slice was a perfect match for my cappa. 10/10 for both. The setting out the back was awesome, sitting under the citrus trees with a Willy wagtail keeping us intermittent company. Live music was well matched to the surprising ambiance in the garden. Thanks. What a great end to a short trip to K Town.

Friendly young staff, delicious food and a beautiful warm morning.. all in all a great experience. Will definitely come back here for breakfast while in Katherine. I had Sweet Potatoes with poached eggs bacon and smashed avo

We ordered Quesadea with chicken and bacon, sour cream and avocado. It was very nice.

Went there twice and had good coffee and juice and food! Good place to enjoy coffee with friends, chilling at the backyard.

A hidden gem. It's easy to miss the entrance to the Finch, but it's worth looking for. Great coffee, good service and seating inside or out in the garden.

Great place, beautiful food, nothing is a problem. A 'gem' of a place in Katherine. Thoroughly enjoy everything, especially today's brekkie of home-made toasted granola, fruit and smoothie. Yum!

what a gem of a place I've found that caters for people needing a Coeliac friendly diet _ Gluten free, where staff have great knowledge and happy to share their vast items & ingredients that are also Raw food- FODMAP friendly- extra big plus. I feel like I've arrived in heaven each time i step through the door

I stop here whenever I pass through Katherine. Great healthy food, beautiful garden setting and friendly staff. Can't beat it.

Been here twice, the service is hopeless, we sat at the only table available which was full of leftovers from the previous people, three staff members walked past at different times, but nobody cleared the table, eventually I had to go & ask for it to be done, a guy came to do it, but never came back to wipe the dirty table..waited ages for our coffee, were going to have something to eat, but completely decided against that, the cafe has the potential to be really good, but unfortunately the staff let them down, which is such a shame for a small town like this where there isn't much choice to start with, abit of TLC would go a long way..the entrance could be so lovely, but when you first walk up to the front door, you are greeted with a grassed courtyard that is long & overgrown which looks like nobody cares & in the cafe the table that we sat at looks straight into a junk room where stuff is stored, all it needs is some blackout paint on the glass & then it would be all hidden, there's so much that could be done here with not much expense, it's all the little things that count, they have got some of it right but just need to go that extra mile for it to be great..very disappointing

Waited over 30 min for a few toasted sandwiches. When they came it was wrong as well. Very slow service. I was disappointed as I had read some decent reviews. But if you want to get out in a reasonable time give this place a miss

I love this cosy little place with smiling staff. Soy cappuccino was perfect. Had avo toast and veggie toastie... wow so fresh and tasty the bread and the ingredients tastes. I would go back many times..

Lovely cafe on the main road, really the only of its kind in Katherine. There's a nice indoor area with polished wooden tables, very inviting for lingering over a drink or two. The usual coffees and teas are available alongside more unusual offerings (for the NT!) like matcha, turmeric latte and iced tea with local gulbara berries. Food wise there is a selection of toasties, pies and salads. Nothing fancy but does very well for a cafe especially in Katherine

The perfect stop. Good coffee and tasty food. Excellent service. It's a little oasis to chill out in if you have been travelling all day. All of the food is prepared fresh. Definitely a must

Huge que and packed out on a Saturday morning; says a lot about a place tho, they're doing something right. Unfoetuantely being so busy meant a few items had run out. Veg toastie with added ham was delicious, avocado feta and chili oil on sorsough was delightful, and coffee was verrrrry tasty. Great spot - a nice little surprise
