Such a gorgeous old church filled with gingerbread goodness all around.

Had a gingerbread hot chocolate and the creaming soda spider. Sugar overload but I didn’t expect anything less.

For Christmas in July they had decked out the church with some festive decor. I also really enjoyed seeing the set up they had for a party that was Alice themed.

In the evening, we also spoilt ourselves to the wonderful Cello and Chocolate event.

Altogether we paid $30 each for cello and chocolate (incl a hot chocolate shot and vanilla truffle on arrival and departing cello shaped chocolate).

The drinks were about $12.50 so a bit on the steep side.

We enjoyed ourselves regardless and look forward to trying some of their food next time :) from what we could see if other people having breakfast/brunch, it all looked scrumptious.

This cafe was a stone throw away from our hotel at katoomba. We went for breakfast here on a cold Saturday morning. Nice place for kids and adults too. Lots of sweets stuff on the house.

We ordered fried eggs on toast which was good along with hot chocolate and coffee. Very yum hot chocolate with marshmallows perfect for a cold foggy morning in the mountains. Nice place would love to visit again. Service too is prompt. Only they close at 5pm wish they would be open longer.

Unique venue that will be easily loved by children (and adults). It was an old church building that has been transformed to a ‘Gingerbread House’. They obviously sell a large variety of sweet treats and lollies on top of desserts, drinks, breakfast and lunch.
Outside you can find children’s play area which adds the fun as this venue is perfect for family with children.
We had their free range chicken and cheese toastie with housemade pesto which was amazing. The pumpkin, red onion, feta and spinach tart was also very good. As for the drink, the coffee was okay, Henzel (iced salted caramel) was pretty good and Gretel (fruit blended frappe) was amazing!
For the cakes we had their Spice Cake w/ Ginger Syrup and Milk Chocolate Cake with salted caramel frosting.
The milk chocolate cake is good but the spice cake is the bomb! Definitely my dish of the day. The cake has bold and aromatic ginger flavour without going overly ‘spicy’. And that ginger ice cream, wow!
Definitely a unique place to check out when you’re visiting Blue Mountain area.

The chai tea was absolutely amazing and a must-have as well as their specialty, gingerbread cookies to take home for a nice snack later. Will definitely be revisiting!

I didn't stop for food so I can't comment on the menu but as for the ginger bread, wow! We stopped by to get some edible souvenirs and we weren't
disappointed. The range of sweets and cute gifts was fantastic and the interior is absolutely adorable! The staff were friendly and helpful and the house made ginger bread man was just delicious. My only regret was that we only bought the one for ourselves, next time well be stocking up!

Just had Fathers Day lunch here with the kids. The pulled pork sourdough sandwich was great. The kids love coming here. They like the hot chocolates and the play area.

We came here for dessert after having lunch at Scenic world and while it was a bit cold we sat outside as my son wanted to play in their cubby house that also had a kitchen and a slide. They also have books and toys for kids.

My husband and I ordered cakes and ice cream on the side to share. I chose their carrot cake with double ginger ice cream and my husband went for their White choc cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream. I enjoyed both although I wish they didn't put the caramel syrup? On top of the cheesecake as it made it more rich and sickly. I loved my carrot cake but couldn't finish the big slice as I was still full from lunch but I did a pretty good job.

They have a good selection of cakes, ice cream and also treats that you can buy and take home like chocolates, jelly lollies, honey etc

Go there for a sweet fix!

This one proved to be a real discovery as I ferreted through the cafés of Leura and Katoomba. Great space in an old church, great food, lovely service. And a terrific enclosed play area for kids and off street parking (enter from Lurline Street). I will be back for sure.

Once you have found your possie check out the menu and then go back inside to place your order. Service is very friendly and very quick, just as it should be when eating out with children. The Gingerbread House is the perfect spot for morning or afternoon tea. They do serve soup and sandwiches for lunch, but seriously their cakes, muffins, scones and cookies are out of this world and their coffee is damn fine so that is what you need to be ordering! We munched on ginger bread cookies in the shape of cars and hearts, peanut butter fudge cookies and the most decadent chocolate brownie I think that has ever passed Mr Right's lips. The cookies and brownie all cost less than $5.00 however if you're after a slice of cake such as Milk Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel Frosting served with Ice Cream then you will be paying about $11.00 for the addition to your waistline.

Great little place to have a snack with the kids.. customer service is so nice and all staff are smiling. The only downer the servings could be a bit more/ bigger. Also the pancakes I ordered weren’t made fresh.

Beautiful cute cafe at the end of Katoomba Village. Delicious soup and jaffle selection, waffles, pancakes and lots of cakes and cookies. Staff are very friendly and service is fast. Great place to take kids as it's like a gingerbread house inside with lots of lollies on display. Tables are big and roomie.

The Gingerbread House boasts friendly service and is charmingly decorated inside. The menu lists a good selection of themed lunchtime favourites with one vegetarian option. The chilli hot chocolate is fantastic and pleasantly spicy, a perfect winter treat! With a playground included on premises and a lolly shop stacked with colourful candies, this place is kid heaven! Converted from a church, parking is available out the back, however, it's popular place so you may need to find street parking nearby. Best of all, there's a little free library inside where you can swap a pre-loved book for another. If you have a sweet tooth, try the Gingerbread cake.

Absolutely delicious. We ordered essentially scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and tomato. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. And the eggs were scrambled perfectly. Not too funny and not overcooked and rubbery. Highly recommended is the chilli hot chocolate.

Absolutely amazing, I loved this cafe, built inside of an old church there is so much to see when inside. the staff were perfect especially our server, who I unfortunately did not get the name of! They were extremely happy and just radiated that around them, and whom I assume is the chef or owner, as they were in and out of the kitchen quiet frequently and wearing plain clothes. Everyone here is just so friendly and the food was spectacular.
