Pizza was great and so were the wedges
Afternoon coffee was required and one of the few places that was still open in the late afternoon so that was much appreciated. Located on Katoomba Street, this was more a cafe/restaurant offering a coffee service. The service was swift and friendly. Ordered a Mocha and it was pretty good tasting.
Food - coffee - nice and strong đź‘Ś
Big breakfast- good
Vegetarian big breakfast- good
French toast - good
Place - looks like a famous one as it was very crowded
Overall - good
Enjoyed our breakfast
Coffee is awesome, I can sense a slightly cocoa taste on the espresso.
Piccolo also nice, I didn’t expected this coffee shop is producing an awesome coffee.
They do have $3.50 each cookies in the jar, much more cheaper compare with the same brand “ whisk and pin”.
Chocolate brownies was nice dark chocolate flavour, and the oat cookies was loaded with dry fruits, and fig is the dominant one.
Visited the Savoy today with the family and in-laws
We were very lucky to get a table to accomodate all of us as the place is very busy. All around people were enjoying their meals. The atmosphere was inviting.
The food was very nice - we ordered:
2 portuguese chicken burger meals
1 cheese burger meal
1 Chicken schintzel meal
With bacon rashers on the side
Overall the food was tasty and all the dishes were finished which was a good sign.
This cafe felt like a time warp! Simplistic, quirky Art Deco styling and attentive and friendly service was matched with nice coffee and a fresh, fast and tasty breakfast (it was also well priced, which was a lovely surprise!). We just loved our visit and will definitely return next time we're in the area.
Easy-going, historic and cultural cafe, with good service and standard breakfast menu. Tasty eggs and good coffee was enjoyed, sitting at American style booths. Next time, I am definitely going there for a good old fashioned milkshake...
Probably the cheapest big breckie $11.50 in town and coffee $2.50. Good service and honest food. Like it.
A Top Cafe in Katoomba. We had a quick three day trip to the mountains and stayed in Katoomba - Savoy became our local, eating here 3 times! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was very reasonably priced and tasted delicious. We always managed to get a seat in the booths (it can get busy during lunch time though), food always arrived quickly and we thought the music playing was great. The menu is large, with so many options you can be sitting there deciding for a while!
When we went here for breakfast - we ordered two $11.90 Vegetarian Big Breakfast (with extra bacon $3 as recommended by the waitress) and were very happy with our meal. A super large serving, two perfectly poached eggs, 2 slices of buttered soft white toast, hash browns, a mushrooms/spinach fry up and roasted tomatoes - it was the best start possible to a freezing day in the mountains!
We went here twice for lunch, a few notes:
- The mango smoothie was delicious, reminded us of a Mango Magic from Boost
- They have the best wedges with sour cream and chilli sauce. Absolutely delicious but the serving was hugee - almost too big! It would be great if they could offer a smaller size as they only have one $8.50 side of wedges.
- I had the ham, cheese and tomato melt on sour dough which was superb. I asked the waitress if they could sprinkle some cayenne seasoning on top which was accommodated without a hassle and really enhanced the flavours.
- Their beef nachos are delicious and a very generous serving.
- Portuguese Chicken Burger was yum, with a decent size serving of chips.
Overall I would highly recommend Savoy for a delicious meal in Katoobma - I'm very surprised with its low overall rating below 70% (perhaps a change of hands in recent years?). Either way, it will be my first stop next time I travel to the mountains.
Loved my experience. Even though cafe was quite busy ( not surprisingly) generous portions, so much choice and everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was friendly even though they were run off their feet. Thanks Savou ill be back.
Place was packed and service good. The vegetarian breakfast was great and well priced for the portion size. Really cute place and happy to give them business.
Love this place! I got the eggs Benedict, my partner got a big breakfast and they were both absolutely amazing and perfectly cooked. Great prices. Service and coffee were amazing as well.
A had an excellent Big Breakfast $19 at Savoy. 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, hash browns and toast Huge serving.
Lovely staff, just 1 minutes walk from Katoomba Train station
Food was awesome aswell as service, would definately happily eat there again for sure.
Every time I come here it's always a pleasant experience. I used to always get the Veal until they changed to the new menu. Still a great place to eat and the atmosphere is brilliant. Staff are friendly and always happy for a chat if they aren't rushed off their feet.
Excellent. Went three times in two days, burgers were good for lunch & breakfasts (twice) were fantastic.
Really friendly staff and nice & clean & fast service.
Good coffee too. Will be back.
