Review Vee's Cafe - Katoomba

Really good and timely service (owner lady running the place?) Breakfast really good (eggs Benedict) and coffee served hot, really strong flavour coffee/flat white (beans roasted in house). Wood fire place, super warm in winter, nice sun y courtyard. Much recommended!

Pretty tasteless big breakfast and burnt. Service was all right.

Last Tues 23rd Jan. Really enjoyed my yummy banana smoothie, delicious battered flathead, divine chips with a large salad, served in a creative manner. The lovely lady with exotic lavender/pink hair made me feel very special, the gentleman was a sweetheart also. This will be my place to relax during shopping.😋

We were a party of 11 plus baby: 2 orange juices out of 4 were off but they made us other ones then I found a cooked dark hair in my mushrooms, waiter's response was that their cook's hair is purple 🤢 Basically no apology and not even offered to take the plate and make me another one! Then on top of that the guacamole on bread was made with rotten avocado! Shame! Never again!

Open a little longer than the adjoining competition, has open air tables at rear, interesting food, I like the coffee, and the staff. Internal set up good. WiFi carries over from the Hattery.

Beef burger was not bad, but meat in the steak sandwich was too tough and milk shake was not shaken enough and felt like milk with sugar.

Fantastic service and wonderful food at great prices! I will definitely be back on my next visit to the Blue Mountains :)

Nice taste with very generous servings. However, the setting felt a little sticky and the server was a little rushed due to a large group.

Recently went here for lunch after walking by and reading the menu, the salmon caught my eye. The food was good, wouldn’t fault it for lunch. Very quick and handy. Woman who served us was extremely friendly too!!

My wife and I called in for breakfast ,we waited at our table for service after 15 minutes we had to order at the counter, we waited for fifty minutes whilst people around us who came in after us were served. The waitress apologized she had mixed up our order and our food was on the way, orders came out for other customers but no sign of ours, another ten minutes later our coffee came out cold and our tasteless bacon and eggs arrived, on completion we went to pay only to be told no cards accepted. The manager was rude, and inexperienced PLEASE PLEASE DONT GO NEAR THIS PLACE WORST SERVICE EVER

There are so many cafes in Katoomba but not too many were open at 8:30am, and we made the mistake of choosing Vee's from the limited options. The big breakfast was inexplicably sitting in about 0.5cm of oily liquid, the poached eggs tasted off and couldn't be eaten, mushrooms were bland and watery. Everything was unseasoned, wet, greasy and inedible. The French toast was drowned in that sickly fake maple syrup and was left untouched by our little one. Coffee was ordinary. We ended up cutting our losses and finding a decent cafe up the street where we had a lovely and much cheaper meal.

After an early morning start at Scenic World watching the runners tackle the Ultra Trail marathon, headed into town for breakfast. Quite a few cafes were not yet open and those that were were inundated by cold, hungry diners. We popped into Vee's Cafe and were politely informed it was a 40 minute wait for food (!) so we ended up just ordering hot drinks instead. We weren't in a particular hurry but the staff were, working frantically to get food and drinks out to customers. Appreciate being informed about the wait and the two floor staff were super friendly.

On a street full of cafes I made the mistake of choosing Vee's Cafe. The fact it took them 15 minutes to clear a table outside with barely any customers present should have been a give-away already.
I had to ask to get the table cleaned twice and was answered with a rude 'we're a bit busy here as you can see'. There were barely any customers present. We were asked to pay upfront because we wanted to sit outside. If we hadn't already paid we would have walked away. We decided to sit inside instead then and the first table we sat at almost fell apart. We switched to another table then that seemed stable enough to eat on.
We had ordered 2 soy flat whites, eggs benedict with salmon and the big breakfast. Well, the food certainly reflected the lack of manners of the staff. Bland, tasteless, greasy food and watery coffee. I'm gutted that I spent any money on the disgrace that we were served. The waiter didn't even place the plates in front of us but just put them on the edge of the table.
The cutlery as well as the coffee mugs were dirty.
The big breakfast was a grease fest. Everything swam in fat. It was impossible for my partner to finish the meal and he felt sick afterwards from all the grease.
The eggs benedict came with two slices of tasteless salmon. The hollandaise was watery and sour.
(Pictures attached)
The worst food and the rudest staff I've ever encountered. If I could give this place a lower rating I definitely would. I'm warning you, do not eat there.

Cute little cafe with artworks on the walls. Decent coffee and usually plenty of tables. I find it a good place to go and sit and read a book.

Had lunch here last Sunday after a long walk. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana with Salad, Omelette & Caesar Salad. The salad with the Parmigiana was really good and the Caesar Salad. The guy at the counter was warm & friendly.

Just had a flat white large size take away. Really good. Really tasty. As fresh as they promised. Looks like they truely roast coffee in shop. Taste is rich. Highly recommended.

Totally unimpressed with food & service at this cafe. I ordered the pancakes and they were rock hard; almost like they had been cooked several days before hand & reheated. My partner ordered eggs benedict; the bacon was burnt, there was water on the bottom of the plate, presumably from the eggs not being drained, the hollandaise sauce had no flavour & the meal was barely warm. The service was slow & the staff were rude.

Can't fault the food/drink. Best coffee I've had so far in the mountains however their service is inconsistent. Even when quiet the staff don't seem to acknowledge anyone entering the cafe.

Could be worse, could be better. Never received a food menu even after 30 minutes of arriving. The tea and coffee were nicely made, and the staff were friendly enough when prompted. Still, I was hoping more attention would be paid from the staff, especially since I'd arrived at a particularly quiet time of the day.

Went for breakfast and they had standard breakfast items and the coffee and atmosphere were good. Only downside was the holindaise sauce was very runny and some oil wouldn't have hurt the mushrooms and bacon.

A family gathering at Vee's Cafe.. We decided to hold a wake after my late mothers funeral. Expecting around 40 people, over 80 people arrived. This was no problem for our fantastic hosts, they simply just took it in their stride.
Everything was perfect. A spectacular table of beautiful food awaited us when we arrived. The room was complete with lovely flowers.
This family owned business was the perfect choice, they accommodated every need and were able to give a very personal touch to the day. We would definitely recommend this fine establishment.
Thank you everyone at Vee's Cafe.

Another great lunch, I try and eat here at least once a week. Service is spot on and the meals are large.

Unbelievably Awesome. We visited Vee's Cafe as a part of an international tourism campaign with Destination New South Wales and MTV. The Ultimate Breakfast here is hands down the best breakfast I've had anywhere in Australia so far. It's actually the best breakfast I've had for as long as I can remember. MUST TRY!

Have come here twice, just for coffee. Great coffee both times and excellent service.

A great spot for brunch on Saturday morning. They do all the classics well and with flair. Get a table near the counter. The staff are hilarious.

Love this place!. Food is of a high quality and arrives quickly. Coffee (Aroma) is up with the top 5 in NSW. Friendly and smiley service adds to the hip and trendy atmosphere. Cool vibey music. These guys have a log fire going on the colder days. Also a peaceful courtyard out back. Highly recommended. I have now become a regular of Vees Cafe. Oh... and super fast free WiFi!

Dissatisfied with service. Ordered an item on the menu which they had removed. Waitor forgot to make my coffee and take my order after telling me the item I chose was removed. Staff were rude. Would not go back
