I stopped by at Milkbar At The Lookout this morning after quite a number of years. Of course we'd been back and forth to Katoomba but we'd tried some of the other cafes in the area. I remember buying a scoop of ice cream there when I was about six or seven.
This time around, I was impressed by the fresh, modern decor featuring whitewashed panelled walls with pastel blue tabletops and fittings. Stopping for a quick cuppa, I ordered a small delicious, creamy mocha featuring Toby's Estate coffee ($4).
For something sweet I tucked into the most incredible, fluffy, cakey, crispy donuts which were freshly-cooked and liberally dusted with delicious, sweet cinnamon sugar! Milkbar have a great deal where you can pick up 6 donuts for $6 (normally $1.50 each). Really appreciated the kind and friendly Blue Mountains hospitality and service with a smile. Definitely heading back again and would totally recommend this cafe/ milk bar to anyone visiting our famous Three Sisters!
The view is nice and the staff are friendly. The food is decent, I would recommend the pesto pasta and it is good for the price. It can get quite busy but overall a nice place.
The bar at echo point was very accomodating. It was a very foggy day and there wasn’t much of a view but the staff made all the difference with our dietary requests and outdoor seating with heaters on in the middle of March. Adam was also very lovely in answering our questions, finding out information we needed and taking our orders. Would highly recommend this bar for both food and customer service (and no doubt good views on a less foggy day).
A great location for food! The best pub food I have had. I don't say that lightly. A truly great destination to visit as I strong recommend.
