Always find it to be a nice and relaxing place to eat in a building that has plenty of character. Pub style menu has enough options to choose from at reasonable enough prices. Always seems to be busy place but does not turn into noisy chaos and all the staff friendly and courteous.

Very hard to fault this place. Came here on a Wednesday night at 6pm and it was sprinkled with a few patrons but within an hour it was very busy. The service and staff are excellent. Big shout outs to Jarrod (sorry if I got the spelling wrong), Ali and Ashley who were attentive without being intrusive.
We had the oysters kilpatrick and saganyaki then the arachini balls and the steak. Everything was fresh, tasty and excellent portion sizes. To top it off we had a bottle of Pepperjack Shiraz. Perfect.
I would've snapped pics but frankly on this occasion, it didn't seem appropriate.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front or around the side.
Beautiful old historic place !! Came here with mates I had fish and chips . Was cooked perfectly, the batter was so crispy , went well with tartare sauce . My mates had good experience as well .
I recommend cheese cake as well perfectly baked .

Great historic place with awesome food! Came by with a few mates on a saturday night, ordered the salmon, which was fantatsic! My mates got the steak and loved them too! The hotel was really busy, but the staff were quick, effcient and really friendly. The new menu looks good, with plenty of good options. Will probably come back next week.
Amazing! Came here on a busy Friday night and the fireplace was going; the place has such a great mood for winter. Ordered the pork belly for dinner, and it was so tasty! The staff are super friendly and asked if I wanted dessert and coffee, and I could not resist. The cheesecake was to die for. Can’t wait to come back!
The Keilor Hotel is a warm relaxing atmosphere with an old style wonderful building that creates a lovely ambiance enjoying the open fire.
The meals are decent portions and very tasteful food, the staff are friendly and the food gets bought out all together in your group.

My husband and I had the Mediterranean Lamb salad that was fabulous and the rib eye steak that was cooked to perfection. We eat here on a regular basis and have always been happy with our meals
Me and my partner went for lunch, as we live in the south-east this was our first time within this establishment. The food was superb as was the service. My partner had ordered the chicken breast with spinach and ricotta with myself ordering the chicken parma. Can't wait to come back again once we're in the area! Thanks

I've been coming here for years with my friends and family and once again this place never disappoints, we ordered the sharing board, bowl of fries and garlic bread for entrèe and was so delicious and our mains were rump stake fish & chips and risotto. My fish & chips was perfect the fish tasted so fresh and the chips were hot and crunchy, my best friend had the rump medium rare when the waitress asked how it was when she was clearing our table he though it was the best stake he has had in a long time this place never disappoints! Love the place and the people.
We have heard great things about this place, so were expecting good things. It did not disappoint. We had whole Baby bara fish, rib eye , fish n chips. Amazing food 10/10 no hesitation in saying it's the best food Outstanding service so a big thank you to all the staff! thank you for a great experience ! We will be back soon
This place is beautiful. I had the Atlantic Salmon which was cooked perfectly with tasty sides. Compliments to the chef. The dishes are huge, so you won't leave this place hungry! I will be back!

Had lovely meal here today. Spicy buffalo wings were good. My steak was cooked perfect. Really impressed with quality of food and exemplary service from staff. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. Cheesecakes was really good one of the best cheesecake I had. Keep up the excellent work 😊😊.
Could not fault tonights meal! It had been several months possibly a good 6+ months due to its precious declining form. Tonight they were back to their old selves- steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, sauce was delicious and vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked! Service was great and after offering positive feedback to the manager he informed me they had changed their chefs and quality was impeccable! Will be back sooner rather than later!

I ordered the braised pork belly, scotch fillet and steak and bacon pie and they were all delicious. I loved the sweet potato fries, my only concern is the huge portion size. The portions are massive. We had 5 people and i think we should have ordered 3 mains and one entree, and that would've been just right.
I think the drinks do need a bit of an upgrade, i ordered a mocha. Which just tasted like a bland hot choc drink.
Otherwise, definetly order the sweet potato chips and the steak and bacon pie is really good 👍
I had a craving for a chicken parmigiana recently and decided to give the Keilor Hotel a go. The interior is very "cliche" English pub; to be expected in the historic building. The restaurant is a large, open square dining space with no ambient music... not a "cosy" feel if I'm honest.
In terms of food, the chicken parmigiana was great - crumbed chicken breast topped with sauce, ham and cheese. I struggled to finish it because it was HUGE! On the other hand, the chips were under salted and salad was fairly stock standard.
The service was really friendly and attentive - our waitress checked in several times to make sure everything was in order, which was nice.
Had a family dinner here on a Friday night and can't understand the negative reviews .
The meals were very nice ( probably a little large) and very tasty . The service was also very good and the meals came out in a reasonable time .
The history of the hotel is amazing and it's like walking back in time .
Well worth a visit for Lunch or Dinner ....... enjoy
What a beautiful old pub
My fiancé and I have been looking for a place for our wedding and thought we would speak to the functions department while we were in for lunch on Monday . The function manager was amazingly beautiful natured and we just felt like we were apart of the furniture and truely like we were family.
I've never felt like this before when meeting with an events planning person so it's fair to say that we will book our wedding here now because we just feel
So comfortable with the service and attention that we have been given. We are very excited to start planning our wedding with our events planner here at your hotel.
This was a bit of hidden gem of a place. The decor from bistro to toilets is amazing. Very creative and quite the talking point. Food serves were great and all fresh. Wine menu was great and staff were pretty attentive. Would definitely go back again when in the area.
This place was so interesting!
Lots of little corridors. Good theme throughout. I thought the food was great! I had the wagyu beef steak which was perfect tasting which delicious vegetables and crunchy onion rings. The only negative was everyone on the table complained that their steaks were very salty which I do agree.
We recently had our sons birthday in the Vinery Room.
The Vinery was a beautiful area, the food was great - there was plenty of it, and the service was excellent.

Went there for dinner, seated very promptly. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Meal was served very promptly, we had chicken Parma with chips and veggies, it was delicious and perfectly cooked. Had a great experience, will definitely be back.

Bit Of A Celebration Meal. 210515 .Booked a table hour before through James in the Bistro. Arrived was well greeted very polite shown to table by very nice lady water brought to table straight away. All good so far I chose an entree Oysters Kilpatrick and it was the best I have had in 20 years outstanding. We had Garlic bread well actually it was a small loaf on a wooden platter with a decent serving of garlic butter to put on what we wanted to. The wife picked for main Thai Curry she was happy with it thought the portion might be a little bigger but the quality was good I had the Ribs and WOW it was a good size serving a little difference maybe a little overcooked to what I have had but a pleasant experience. 2 light beers and the service and timing of each dish was very good. The pricing was a little steep but the quality almost befitting. Would not make it a regular on the return list as good options around the area are available but nice atmosphere and good service makes it inviting.
Sensational. Went for dinner tonight and had the 400g Rib Eye and my partner the Chicken Parma. Hadn't been before, but to any of the old reviewers, go again, the service was terrific and the food absolutely sublime. Steak was perfect, up there with Melbournes best "steak-houses", and the parma was fantastic. Will definitely be returning !

We held our engagement party in the Vinery at The Old Keilor Hotel. Jo, the function manager couldn't have been more helpful and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was. This was our second event in the Vinery. The staff are always very helpful and approachable. Jo is very accommodating and goes out of his way to make sure your happy with your function. Thanks Jo and The Old Keilor Hotel staff for yet another wonderful evening.

I couldn't honestly I.... I couldn't honestly say I disliked The Old Keilor Hotel. The service was both friendly & attentive, the ambience was shall we say ordinary at best and the wine list needs some serious attention, especially by the glass. The food I have to say was very good, but way too expensive for a pub of this kind. Would I return? Probably, as I would love to try the Duck Risotto now that I know the quality of the food is high.
Been here a few times now. Service is great. Food yummy and good size servings. If there is a 😔 criticism it is that it was not warm enough.
Nostalgic, haven't been here in many years and the place only ever gets better. I recommend the steak or chicken burger. The tap selection for beers is perfect.
Great pub with really interesting period features, it's like stepping back in time. It's also a lot bigger inside than expected. The venue is split up into various areas including bars, bistro, a huge reception space and gaming area. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to explore including displays of historical clothing, shop fronts, blacksmithing tools, horse drawn carriage etc. The service in the bistro was efficient and the food we had was well prepared and good value for money. Fish served in the fish and chips was barramundi, beautiful and succulent, light crispy batter and a generous serve. Buffalo wings with blue cheese dipping sauce was very spicy hot, just as they should be. All up a good experience that we will be repeating.
WOW!!! First time visitors we loved it. I had the grilled salmon and my partner had the medium grilled steak. Bloody beautiful!!! The red wine just excellent. Don't normally have dessert but we did! 👍

My wife & i travelled there yesterday 03/01/2018. My wife had a lamb salad which was a large serving & tasty. I had a whole barramundi with side salad. Barra was beautiful. Service was excellent!!
