July 2020. Went here with a friend for weekend brunch after making an online reservation.
Ordered the 'Bowl for the Romans', which was generously portioned with various textures and flavours of vegetables and falafel. A great vegetarian and healthy option.
Friendly and efficient service. Order at the counter. Casual ambience with onsite car parking. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a good brunch option and local favourite.

An amazing dish I had for breakfast here. Named appropriately as a bowl for the Romans, the bowl packed in everything a Roman would require! All good things turmeric cauliflower, tabouleh, homous, beetroot falafel & avocado to name a few, & all beautifully presented. Then a perfect flat white to follow

Method to the madness! Amazing little Shakespearean themed cafe tucked away in Kenmore with warm friendly service, strong smooth coffees and a menu that makes your mouth water. I have been multiple times for breakfast and lunch, and each time has been consistently top notch. One of the better cafes Brisbane has to offer in my opinion!

Great food and coffee. The staff were super nice and welcoming. I ordered the something wicked Benny and my partner ordered the A Bowl for the Romans. I must say I really loved my dish and thought it was pretty well balanced. I especially loved the pulled pork, very flavorful and tender. The waffles were savory instead of sweet which was to my appeal. I also appreciated the fact that the dish was a bit spicy, which made it interesting to taste. My partner really enjoyed his dish as well and we both agreed that the falafels were out of this planet. There were other dishes I wanted to try like the Japanese hot cakes and the softshell crabs, maybe we will go back sometime. There was something that we found quite confusing though. When we walked in we couldn’t tell where the line was as there were a bunch of people standing all over the place and we didn’t know who had already ordered and who were waiting. But in general, it was a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. Thanks for the great service.

Not too early for a sweet dish. I rarely have a brekkie at the cafe, so sweet brekkie is what I always get because there is lots of time to digest, isn't it? HAHAHA~~~ Perfumes of Australia was my fave, which was Churros French toast with lots of topping. If you're guys interested in, I highly recommend that you should do the reservation because their cafe is pretty busy all day! :)

If you have read Shakespeare through your schooling days, or at your own leisure, you may appreciate the bent of Method to the Madness in Kenmore. The eatery name caught our attention when it first opened a few months ago, but as it was all the way on the other side of town, we put off visiting until one day when we felt particularly in need of a new place to go.

Came here for brunch and was greeted warmly by the service staff on arrival. I got the sausage roll benedict and a cappuccino. The benedict was good, I really liked the spicy kick in the hollandaise and the beetroot relish was seasoned really well. The coffee was strong and nutty, definitely a good one.

What a charming little cafe. Finally went here after hearing so many recommendations, and was not disappointed! First of all, the menu - so unique, so many different flavours, not your typical cafe food! I ordered “Willy’s Brekky Burger” - that beef sausage patty was amazing! Loved the salad in the burger too! The BF ordered their “Fit for the Gods”. Super friendly service too! All in all, extremely impressed with this place. Will be back for sure :)

A Shakespeare inspired cafe? TF? But... what's in a name?

One weekend we were laying around the house (We had seen better days), my partner wanted to go out for brunch, the lady doth protest too much, methinks so we decided on ‘method to the madness’.

Perfect little cafe to hide from the winter of our discontent. Very cozy and great atmosphere.

As for the menu, all that glistens is gold. With a great variety of items that are all unique and above par. Eg: Eggs Bennie WITH pork / pancakes WITH fruit / Omelette WITH ricotta. It’s the extra bits that really make the experience.

Let me just say; some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them (but enough about me, ‘method to the madness’ is also pretty great).

This relatively new Cafe is a local favourite. Phuong Tran and I drop in for lunch and we are quickly seated. Wait staff are cheerful but service is a tad slow. While PT’s Romeo & Juliet Smoothie takes almost 20 minutes to arrive, this blended Mango, Banana and Strawberry Smoothie is perfectly balanced and refreshing. Rating: 5

* “Purchased By The Weight” is Pan Fried Salmon and Poached Eggs served with Sautéed Greens on Sourdough. The poached eggs are perfect and I love the generous serve of French Beans, Broccoli and Snow Peas. Rating: 5

* “Sausage Roll Benedict” includes 2 Poached Eggs, Sautéed Greens, Sauerkraut and Chipotle Hollandaise. PT’s rating: 4

The food and beverage rate almost 5! Unfortunately, service was slow despite the Cafe being almost empty, reducing our overall rating. We will return to update this review and hopefully improve our rating.

Have lunched here three times, and each time, quality of food has been very good. A slick kitchen serving on-trend dishes executed with intelligence and integrity. Example: Deep fried soft-shell crab served on a crusty rice rosti with sambal. Rice rosti was inspired- evokes a Chinese favourite of slightly burnt crusty rice left at bottom of a pot.

Hands down one of the best breakfast places I have been to in brisbane. We had the pork Benedict and the drunken donuts. The pork came out sitting on two rostis. This meal was amazing.

They had cold drip coffee which is one of my favourites. Coffee was great.

The service was great. The staff were on their game and they knew about all the menu items whenever I asked questions. Hard to find good waiters these days and these people were great.

This is a must visit venue for breakfast! Enjoy!

Really enjoyable bustling place - above average breakfasts including buratta on toast and quinoa crisps. Coffee was really nice. There were a few other dishes I am keen to try.

This was a wonderful surprise. Fairly ordinary setting more than made up for by delicious interesting food. I had the beetroot falafel so light and crunchy. Great coffee and finished with a banana caramel mini cake, so decadent with earl grey tea. Interesting feature was the Shakespearean theme with daily usage quotes scribed as a feature wall. Parking was easy and staff were obliging, we lingered til 4! No one tried to usher us out. Sorry guys! Will definitely come back to try the other temptations on the menu.

This place is amazing! Super friendly, beautiful new and spacious interior and the food was incredible. Highlights were the beautifully presented eggs with smashed avocado - Has to be the tastiest version of this dish ever! The laksa was so fragrant and fresh - it’s not like anything I’ve ever had before, definitely worth it 🍜 The menu is very ambitious and constantly evolving so we must come back!

There's nothing not to love this cafe.
They changed their menu once a month, so you always got something new to try.
And this time we ordered two asian dishes from the lunch menu (banana leaf with barramundi & crab laksa) and an all day breakfast. the fish is deep fried first so it stays in one piece and without bones, wrapped with banana leaf and having the smell of the coconut rice with it !
The crab laksa comes with a lot of crab meat, so spoiled (like i don't have to peel them off myself) haha. and the laksa soup is just right...not too spicy but with the heat.
And is totally a kid-friendly place, our toddler love it there, from her babycino to her little waffle dish. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Great food good service in a quirky spot. We went on a very hot morning. Had the pork bene and the wagu spaghetti thing. Both were yummy.

One side of the restaurant is air conditioned and one side isn’t. We waited a little while to get our food, however it’s a new restaurant and it was very busy. The owner came over and checked on us and gave us a couple of small juices to keep us going. I like restaurants like this.

This new Cafe/Bar is owned by a lovely team who have moved up from Melbourne. Seeing that it quietly opened just over a week ago, favourite daughter & I decided to try it out for lunch.
What used to be an Italian restaurant in Marshall Lane, is now a vibrant new cafe with a liquor licence. Kenmore is becoming trendy!!
The theme of the cafe is based on quotes/phrases made popular by William Shakespeare. The decor is monochromatic and very tastefully simple. Piped music was playing very quietly in the back ground which was a very nice touch. I was surprised to see this place was already making an impact with about 50% of the inside seating area taken up at 2pm on a Wednesday, as well as others ordering coffees at the front counter. Once seated, water and menus were placed promptly by a smiling and friendly waitress. The menu had interesting choices but was so excited to see they offered quite an extensive all day breakfast menu!! The lunch menu is on the small size, but I guess its very early days for this place.
I decided to stick to the Avo on Sourdough with a large flat white and Daughter had the pork belly burger with a large cappuccino.
Meals and coffees arrived promptly and very impressed by the presentation of the meals. Instead of fries with the burger, was crispy baby chat potatoes that were seasoned and served in the obligatory wire basket. The whipped feta on tha Avo was piped in 3 little peaks on one side of the plate. Certainly different!!
But were we happy with the taste of the food?? Omg..YES!! The burger was so tasty as was the Avo on toast. The coffee was strong and smooth too.
Upon leaving, the owner advised that from 10th January they will be opening for evening drinks and dinner.
So glad this place is less than 5 minutes away from home. I am so glad these Melburnians decided to set up camp in Kenmore!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for some coffee. We tried the coffee flight and the red velvet pancakes. I really enjoyed the cold brew. The berries and lime in the ice cube provided a really refreshing flavour to the coffee as the ice melted and flavours began integrating together.

The "madness went fishing" dish was delicious. The jackfruit burger didn't have much jackfruit. Plenty of interesting items on the menu to try. Overall, the food was above average, the cafe has a nice setting, and friendly staff. Worth a visit

Have you ever walked into a cafe and felt like “oh man I can stay here for hours”? Well, that’s how I felt when I walked into @methodtothemadnesscafe 🥰 This beautiful cafe is located in Kenmore and it has an amazing Shakespeare-inspired design surrounded by lots of green plants. There’s plenty of seating available inside the restaurant! 🙌 Here’s what we got: • Thoughts are but ‘Fritters’ • Madness went fishing • Chicken laksa • Hot blood, hot blood & hot deeds • Coffee tasting board • Smoothies All the dishes were amazing! The fish was well cooked and the laksa was delicious! The flavour was on point 💯 The pancakes were super sweet and soft and were a great dessert after having all those delicious food. The portion sizes were great for the price and quality! 🥰 Highly recommend @methodtothemadnesscafe 🙌 Don’t miss out on such an amazing dining experience! 🥰

At premium prices, you are getting good quality food and a venue with a family-friendly and slightly book-wormish, intellectual and chaotic bend. Food composition is excellent without degrading into style celebrations. A broad cross-section of society comes as patrons, as long as the wallet is big enough. If you want to have a special outing, this is a good place to go.

There is definitely method to the madness. They say some of the best artists lose their minds in the pursuit of doing something special. I don’t know if the chefs have lost their mind, but the dishes they have created are definitely special. A fresh take on the classic brunch, experimenting with flavours and pushing the boundaries. I find a favourite dish, and the chef changes his menu every 3 months, then, I find a new favourite dish, and the cycle repeats. Good leafy shakespearian vibes, great coffee, highly recommend.
