Review Sitar Indian Restaurant - Kenmore

This restaurant is a favourite of ours with consistently good quality tasty Indian food at a reasonable price. We have visited many times in varying group sizes and everyone has always been happy with the food. The Meat Samosas, Garlic Naan, Lamb Ceylon and/or Lamb Korma are often selected. Our latest experience wasn't as good, the order was ten minutes late when I went to collect it and after returning to the car I find one of the dishes missing and it turned out they had run out of lamb but forgotten to say anything. And to top it off they forgot to refund the difference in the dishes or even offer something for the trouble however the food was still pretty good however.

I thought the food was ok but a bit bland for Indian . There was no ginger beer!! What Indian has no ginger beer? The staff were polite and helpful. The car park is not for the faint hearted as it is difficult to get in and out of off a busy road.

Sitar Indian Kenmore gave us very bad service. We did a large online order which we paid for online. The shop called us to say they couldn't do 1 item from our order, so we asked them to change it to 2 sides which would have meant we needed to give them an extra 90 cents. When we got to the shop they decided to charge us $7 more even though we had no cash on us besides the 90 cents, so we had to pay an extra $1 for the credit card surcharge. When we got home and checked the email receipt, we called them to discuss this (we were very polite) and they said they would ask the manager and call us back. They didn't call us back! We also ordered a VEGETARIAN dish which was supposed to have PANEER but it had CHICKEN. Never ordering from this shop again, and I recommend others not to make large orders with them, they will screw it up.

Awesome food and superb service! We really enjoyed the food in this restaurant and would love to come here again :) . I would say...THIS IS CALLED THE REAL TASTE OF INDIAN FOOD ! The best taste of curries and naans as compare to other restaurants that we have tried so far. Amazing cooking ! Thanks for your services and providing such a great taste of Indian food. Keep it up guys

Really great Indian, went here after a friend said it was great and it didn't disappoint. Table setting was a bit cramped for a family of 4 but the food was amazing. We will be back.

We ate here once. Food was mediocre, I asked for the spiciest level and was very disappointed. Lamb was tough and overcooked. It's no surprise this place is never busy, we are never going back.

Nice food. Service was a little slow but, to be fair, there were quite a few takeaway pickups at the same time (Friday night).

Food quality, flavour and freshness is excellent, however, service is average. Recommend take away over dine-in.
