I have had lots of big breakfasts, and I'm beginning to get fed up with not being fed up (if you know what I mean?) !!!
Lots of places now are giving you 1.5 rashers of bacon (small) 1 sausage, and bloody hell, tight arses, 1 slice of bleeding toast!!!!.
It is becoming the norm now, and whats the frigging point of giving me two fried eggs and one slice of bleeding toast?????
Surprise surprise when this lot came up, enough to choke a horse, and all for $17.00. The owner circulates, and greets EVERY customer, chats to them, and even clears tables. Staff are amazing, fast, polite, and efficient. I kid you not, make a detour and try this place out, before it becomes 'TOO' popular
It's great to have a local tapas restaurant right across the road. Kensington has need something like this for a long time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys quality food and flavours. Every dish I had here was delicious! The beef cheek was on point and the potato bravas were yum!
Love this place! Great staff, amazing food and the best wine! I have managed restaurants for 18 years and this is the one i choose to go to.
I'm sad that it took me so long to try this place. Absolutely beautiful food - the Reuben was creamy and fantastic, and the steak sandwich Leah had was so fresh and delicious! Also loved the chips. Kensington, you should be filling this place up!
Rock star service even if they're busy! Great place to drop into if your in the area..
The tapas were delicious, and the Sangria and Churros to die for! The service was speedy and the wait staff couldn't do enough for you. The decor was sensational, this is a definite asset to the area! I will definitely be coming back soon!

Delightful! The portions were big. We ordered pancake and burger. Both were delish but the pancake was definitely the scene stealer! (It was the one with the honeycomb)
Beautiful corner cafe with lovely staff and lovely food. The female staff member with an Australian accent, in particular, was a great help, constantly checking up on tables and was helpful with all my requests. Not something you’d consistently get. Quick and good service.
Very friendly staff and look at the great portion of the food! Ordered the club sandwich and changed the chips to salad. Freshly made and tasty. Great location and easy to find parking. This will be on my dog friendly list and will come back again!
We decided to get our brekkie here one day and it was quite good! Coffee + breakfast roll was exactly what i needed early in the morning :))
I thought it was about time to check out this local gem. It was well worth it. Servers are friendly, took a little bit of time to take our orders, but we did arrive at a popular time. I ordered the stable burger. The chicken was crispy, and buns were fresh. Could've done with a tad more sauce- I could barely taste the wasabi. The fries however were cooked to perfection. They were so crisp, yet I was not left with greasy fingers. My friends ordered the chorizo roll, and club sandwich with a coffee. The club sandwich was generously portioned. All in all, a great experience

🥞 berry pancakes: the moment I saw these babies come out I was so ecstatic over the beautiful strawberry rose 🌹 the thick fluffy buttermilk pancakes were sandwiched with fresh berries between each layer!! .
🥚 corn fritters: I’ve had so many corn fritters at different cafes but honestly this is the best corn fritters I’ve ever had. There was a generous side serving of smoked salmon (the other option is bacon) and I loved the egg yolk that oozed out as soon as I cut into it 🤩

🍔 Gary’s favourite: omg how good are the sweet caramelised onions and that tang from the bbq sauce in this burger! If you’re hungry and want a satisfying savoury dish, go for this, as the crispy bacon, flames grilled wagyu beef pattie and tasty cheese made me devour the whole thing! Also loved the super crispy and lightly salted shoestring fries .

| Kensington | Stable Talk | Located not too far from Randwick race course, this cafe is gem, lots of delicious choices. The cafe has a stable/ horse theme which is already quite cute. Very popular with the locals as its quite busy. Gary and his staff were quite friendly and accomodating.

Great service and extensive menu- European and asian influence. We got the salmon corn fritters with eggs and the salmon eggs Benedict, absolutely delicious and great portion size. Staff are friendly and attentive and made sure our waters were always topped up.
Cutest little cafe on the corner. Resembles a horse stable (hence the name). There are photographs (of horses) printed out in large canvases hung on the walls and if you look carefully there are actually for sale. There are racing caps, saddles and trophies as decor. All that’s missing is the actual horse!
Also on UberEats, serving breakfast and lunch. From bacon and eggs to black pudding to burgers to pastas. It has everyone’s cup of tea, or coffee or juice, and even wine!
We went for the Irish breakfast, corn fritters and Gary’s Favourite (burger). Our eyes were definitely too hungry. Next time we will try the pasta options.

This cute cafe name is a nod to its equine neighbours with Randwick Racecourse located just down the road. The theme is continued in the decor with saddles, pictures of horses and horseshoes throughout. The owner’s 20 plus years of hospitality experience shines through, with warm service and great food.
Dining during that part of the day that bridges breakfast and lunch, we enjoyed pancakes, avocado on toast, seafood pasta and a burger from a menu that includes all the cafe favourites, plus some more unusual menu items such as Irish black and white pudding which we’re informed was added to the menu by customer request, and that whom now frequent the cafe to get their regular fix .
Matt and I head to Stable Talk Cafe in Kensington for a late brunch. As you enter, you'll immediately see lots of horse artifacts. There's a small area at the front of the cafe where you can sit down but they also have a narrow walkway and back area too. The staff are friendly and Kevin - the front of house is buzzing away with all the take away and breakfast orders. Make sure you have a look at all the saddles in the walkway area, it's an art piece. I look at the menu and there's a few breakfast and lunch options. The staff tell me about the specials. I immediately eye off a few menu items.

Stable Talk is a very cutely themed cafe, upon walking in you can see the cute stable theme throughout the venue with their large wooden door at the back. The coffee was very nice, a smooth blend and seemed popular with the locals that were lining up for takeaways. The menu was very vast, a lot of options to choose from… We ended up deciding on one of the classics and also a favourite of mine, ‘Smashed Avo’ on toast! Very delicately presented with cherry tomatoes, two poached eggs and goats fetta. Always love myself a good smashed avo!

The workers are also super lovely - Kevin who makes the coffee is just so warm and friendly, you can't help but feel like you're getting welcomed into a tight knit family.
The coffee and hot chocolate is just as good.
The food is also pretty amazing.
The serving sizes are quite generous so make sure you come with an empty stomach as you'll need to save room for some pancakes for dessert as they are too good to miss!
Definitely one to visit and would recommend it to family and friends.
The decor is quite cute and there are a lot of horse associated paraphernalia around.

On busy Anzac Parade, a stones throw away from the horse stables & racecourse, this cafe transports you from busy city scapes to somewhere cosy, warm & inviting with accents of stables & horses in pictures, saddles and trofies lining the walls. The warmth of this place is also reflected by the staff who welcomes you in warmly and are friendly and hospitable throughout my visit. The menu is classic and solid, providing lots of the all time favourites such as fluffy, 3-stacker, plate-sized pancakes which you can choose to have with banana & choc honeycomb or fresh berries. All generously doused with maple syrup & a big scoop of ice cream. Or a healthier, ever so popular smashed avo on toast with fresh cherry tomatoes, a scattering of feta & 2 perfectly poached eggs. The pastas all sound tempting & the chilli prawn number was a great choice with juicy sweet prawns and a good kick from the chilli. Then there are the burgers - you can order it however you like with whatever toppings you like. The concoction I tried had pink, tasty beef patties, chorizo, egg & a special, delicious sauce all on a soft brioche style bun. The Irish breakfast would please anyone up for a substantial, hearty meal & will surely cure a hangover. Coffee is well-made and strong and alcohol is also available if the desire strikes. Warm hospitality, great coffee, solid food offering that is well made and delicious, you may have won the trifector here.

This beautiful cafe with plenty of seating inside, is located on Anzac Parade at Kensington which is perfect for breakfast and lunch! There is plenty of parking on the street for your convenience too! Staff were very friendly and attentive to customer needs.
The decor of the restaurant fits hand in hand with the name (Stable Talk) with the dark wooden themed interior that feels like a homely barn we were deprived of as kids, making us enjoy it even more!! A perfect location to sit back, relax and enjoy a tasty meal.
On the menu we had the delicious pancakes with fresh strawberries, blueberries, maple syrup and icecream. We love our pancakes and if you do you should definitely check out Stable Talk! Generous servings of berries and great presentation and flavours to match! Perfect with a cup of coffee to start the morning.. oh and maybe the morning papers too 😅
Next up we tried the special for the week “Wagyu Beef Burger” with premium meat paddy and all the extras (pineapple, beetroot) to make a perfect burger. The paddy was cooked perfectly with the right amount of flavour and served with crunchy shoestring fries.
Located close to Randwick Racecourse, this venue’s ambience is pretty cool. They have horse-themed decor throughout the Cafe so it really fits to its name. When you enter the Cafe looks like there aren’t many dining tables. But they actually have larger seating area at the back.
It was my first time trying the coffee from Black Market Roaster. I love it. It’s amazing.
I had several dishes today, including Irish Breaky Roll, Barramundi Salad and Chips, Pasta with Tiger Prawns and Pancake with Honey Comb.
Everything was satisfying but my favourites were the Pasta and Pancake. Both of these dishes were beautiful inside and out. Pasta was perfectly cooked and king prawns were given generously. I would prefer for it to be more spicy but that’s probably just me :)
Pancake was good. I added bacon and it was a perfect decision. The sweetness from the banana, maple syrup and honey comb is balanced out with the crispy bacon.
Love Stable Talk, great service, food, and location love my burger with the lot! great choice of menu as well, drinks etc. Hard to find good cafes but this really has generous helpings and value for money. So close to home and Kenzo is really opening up again, once light rail has finished it will be the boom town for cafes and restaurants.
Kensington has long been a University area, diverse, cultural and a long list of cheap and cheerfuls, offering to all the Uni students and locals looking for tasty eats. With upcoming developments now and in the near future, the area needs a few more options for those that want something a little more upmarket.

Been for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. Love everything about this place.. The tapas at night is the real highlight.. The cocktails are incredible and the wine list is full of variety with a lot of imported wines from Spain. I'm a fussy eater and the staff were more than accommodating!!! Love love love
Walked past here last week and was impressed with how cosy and inviting it looked so decided to come here for breakfast today. Excellent waiting staff. Warm and friendly and we got served very quickly. Coffee is in a word.....excellent! Beautiful rich taste and such depth of flavour. Up there with my Top 5 coffee places in Sydney. Beautiful decor and so cosy. I just love how the wine is racked onto the wall and the wooden furniture oozes warmth. I ordered scrambled eggs with sides of bacon and haloumni. My partner went for poached eggs with spinach and mushroom. Both breakfasts were delicious. Only thing I could say is there was an odd taste with the scrambled eggs. I think they may have used oil instead of butter. The bread was beautiful. Would definitely come back here again. It's just what Kensington needs. A more upmarket café /restaurant.
Stable Talk is one of my favourite restaurant discoveries in a very long time. The food is absolutely delicious, atmosphere lovely and service attentive. I've had a lot of the menu items, and favourites would definitely include the slow cooked pork and beef meatballs. The warm olives are also fantastic, as are the chorizo sliders and ham and cheese croquettes. Churros for dessert is a must! For lunch, the ham and cheese croissant is unbeatable. Really good pastry and great quality ham and cheese. Coffee is great too! In a nutshell, Stable Talk offers full flavoured meals with top notch ingredients. Highly highly recommend.
